ITT: Ugly guns
Fuck you, don't bully
>>28658133
You're an ugly person.
>>28658139
The only way to stop a bully is to beat the shit out of them.
>>28658133
Kill it with fire. What the fuck even is that?
>tfw about to board a flight to a free state from Jew York
>tfw had to deal with TSA and bringing 7 firearms through checked luggage
>tfw I will finally be able to unfuck my AR
Anybody else know these feels?
How does one deal with the TSA if you need to bring a gun on your trip? Do you have to call them days before and let them know you're coming? Lock everything up in respective cases?
And how did you manage to deal with them without using a constant tone of disgust and condescension?
>>28656194
You're supposed to claim them at the check-in counter. TSA might search you (especially in the containment zo-- er, liberal states) but if you follow the rules they *can't* fuck with you.
That being said, TSA being condescending faggots is something you can't ever get around. Baggage throwers have been known to try to pry open rifle cases in the past; consider yourself warned.

Forgot to mention, these guys have a pretty good writeup of travelling with a gun:

>tfw Weird Al makes a song mocking the top intelligence agency in the world
Is he suicidal?

>>28655250
>Is he suicidal?
No, he's a comedian.
Is weird al's career so in the toilet he makes shitty off topic threads on /k/?
>>28655284
He's been releasing a bit of stuff recently
first time on /k/. Lets see what you guys got for "strange guns" from your personal collection, or what youve found on the internet. Unusual or just plain stupid or weird. give it all you got

Here ya go my koku-jin
Hey /k/
Convince me not to get an HK USP .40 for less than $600
>>28651983
Good thing you covered up the serialized trigger
>versus a former police issued .40 S&W for $320
Only downside is it was probably used to shoot a nigger once...
I say wait till you can buy one in .45 to be Solid Snake, don't be a worthless clone like this gun...or Liquid
>>28652018
>Only downside is it was probably used to shoot a nigger once...
Downside?
ITT: dumb shit you've heard people say about guns
>you can't hunt with an assault rifle. you'll blow the deer up
>if there were no guns people wouldn't get shot
>i don't need a gun cuz i'm not a pussy walking around scared all the time
>i'm safe at work. it's a gun free zone.
>lasers sites should be banned because it's unfair to cops
Oh gee it's the same shit, again and again.
We've heard it all and we've seen it all.
i know a guy whose mom was afraid to go to bass pro shop for lunch because they had a range in there and didn't want to get shot
"You only need a rifle to hunt and a pistol for home defense."

How common were homosexuality relationshiPs between gis in www?
As in "the thin red line
>>28658828
Stigma was huge. It was a immense taboo and generally if you were thought to be a queer, you became more of an issue then you were worth. "Relationships" were immensely risky and I seriously would seriously doubt any claims of relationships forming between GIs.
>>28658828
>>28658910
Homosexual acts were shockingly common. Some units had up to 71% of soldiers engaging in anal sex. Up to 50% of our grandpas blew a dude.
It was more common for soldiers to have sex with each other than to see the enemy.
War is hell.
>>28658828
Incredibly common. Like more than half of GIs.
>there are still people who uses CLP/Remshit on this board
>>28656745
>fraudlube
no thanks i dont want to put crisco on my guns
>>28656745
I get why people don't like FrogLube. If you don't actually follow the directions and use it like a normal CLP, it WILL gunk up.
The shit is fucking amazing when you apply it the right way though.
>>28656745
>Not going pink
Lucas will actually tell you what goes into their bottle and why. Instead of feeding you bullshit about nanoparticles.
Red and Tacky #2 for things that need grease, and Stihl winter grade bar and chain oil for when we can expect temperatures below -20°c.
The F-22A is undoubtedly the greatest air superiority fighter ever built. How are pilots from other countries (specifically Iran, Russia, China, North Korea, etc.) trained to combat it?
Are they even trained to combat stealth aircraft?
>>28656218
If its so great why was it destroyed by a boy in the third transformers film?
>>28656250
>transformers
>film
No use in being a tripfag if you're going to be a retard too.
>>28656266
All tripfags are retarded though
Yes it was in transformers
Yes it was a film or do you want me to call it a movie? Fuck you I did take film school courses to call it a movie.
Alright /k/, I know some of you have been putting off cleaning your guns.
This thread is to remind you to service your weapons. So come on in, start up some music, get your patches in order, get your space laid out, and get to cleaning!
I'll be posting /k/ stuff for a bit. Join me if you'd like. I have an afternoon to waste.
My uncle wants a pocket knife for his birthday that had, in his exact words, "nothin' new-fangled." I'm assuming that means no thumbstuds, pocket clips, fancy locks, or anything else useful.
Based on that criteria, is there any reason to get anything besides a Buck 110?
>>28653744
Get him an obsidian knife and call him a tacticool mallninja faggot if he wants anything more modern.
>>28653744
Buck 110s are great and everyone should have one.

Thoughts on joining the french foreign legion? 19 if that has any bearing on your answer
>>28652798
If you do join, don't go for infantry. Not like they need more of that anyways.
The legion is overly romanticized IMO
>>28652798

>Shit ton of K98 threads
>SKS threads
>AK/AR threads
>Never a thread about Swiss milsurp rifles
Why does /k/ hate Swiss milsurp when these are one of the best price/quality rifles you can currently buy?
We dont you autist, The K-31 is one of the nicest rifles I own. 7.5 Swiss is just hard to find
>>28652388
The K31 I own is all beat up and ugly. I'll be damned if it isn't one of my favorite rifles to shoot. Big boom and accurate as hell. Since most of the other gun owners I hang out with are fudds also, I get to showcase the rifle every time I go shooting with them. Every single time I show them the straight pull bolt they get all nervous and say something along the lines of "there's no way that is safe." While hunting with rusted .303s and barely working pump actions.
>>28652388
>Sig 550 sighted.
So why all the hate for a hipoint 9mm on k? I keep seeing customers rave about it. Hipoint boasts about the low return rate of it. And every popular gun review channel i watch has essentially the same content: some crusty old dude talking about how hideous and undesirable it is, then he begrudgingly, through his closed teeth, talks about how the gun is reliable and accurate. is all the hate for this weapon meme-based or what?
tl.;dr
What exactly is wrong with hipoint , specifically the c9 pistol?
>>28651827
It's cheap so niggers use them. Are you a nigger?
it's a poorfag gun
It is absolutely the best gun in its price range.
However, for $150-200 more, you could have something so much nicer.
These will be new mini-missiles for the F-35, F-22 and other fighters, letting them carry 2 or 3 of these missiles in place of every AMRAAM and having (for the SACM) BVR capabilities.
http://www.pddnet.com/news/2016/01/raytheon-awarded-air-force-missile-contract
Raytheon has been awarded a $14 million Air Force contract for research and development intended to improve the military’s state-of-the-art air-launched, tactical missiles.
Under the agreement, which was announced Wednesday by the U.S. Department of Defense, Raytheon will attempt to improve upon the number of missiles that can be held on a single excursion. The company will also work to improve both the impact of each missile, and the platform survivability against any threat that would arise in an anti-access, area denial (A2AD) environment.
Two research concepts will help to achieve the improvements: the Small Advanced Capability Missile (SACM) and Miniature Self-Defense Munition (MSDM).
“The SACM will support affordable, highly lethal, small size and weight ordnance with advanced air frame design and synergistic control capabilities for air dominance enabling high air-to-air load-out,” the DoD said. “The MSDM will support miniaturized weapon capabilities for air superiority by enabling close-in platform self-defense and penetration into contested A2AD environment with little to no impact to payload capacity.”
Raytheon was one of four companies to submit a bid for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity cost contract. The labor will be conducted in Tucson, Ariz., and should be finished by Jan. 19, 2021.
What a stupid idea. The concept of miniaturizing air to air missiles is retarded after a certain point. Next thing you know, they'll be reengineering Zuni rockets into guided missiles.

I'm conflicted about this. On the one hand, I'm glad that Lockmart lost. On the other, I'm sad that CUDA won't be a thing. I hope whatever Raytheon comes up with is as neat as CUDA.
