He will never come back to us, /k/. He has found his new home. Can he be stopped? His family misses him.
He is on a paid vacation.
Good for him.
Good riddance.

>The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter's digital maintenance and logistics system could be vulnerable to cyber attacks, while the jet's combat software development is in danger of falling behind, the Pentagon's operational test chief warned in a leaked 11 December memo.
>The F-35's Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) "continues to struggle in development with ... a complex architecture with likely (but largely untested) cyber deficiencies," wrote Michael Gilmore, the Department of Defense's (DoD's) director of operational test and evaluation (DOT&E), according to a portion of the document viewed by IHS Jane's .
This plane is the biggest boondoggle and a disaster in the history of Pentagon's procurement system.
What a disaster!

Yeah, every computer system could be vulnerable to an attack

Janes isn't a tabloid news source. They wouldn't say "could be" unless it was more likely than not.

Any of you folks ever get any items that may have been "misplaced" by the military as a gift from someone in the service? I had a few friends that were total kleptos and compulsive buyers and would end up giving shit to me.
What kind of items did you score? Any good stories?
>ton of cold weather gear in a pelican case
>a fuck ton of socks. Buddy deployed to Kenya bought 1,000 dollars worth of fucking socks because he didnt know what to spend money on.
>2 boxes of sim grenades and pencil flares(that was a fun new year)
>an MS2000 strobe
My grandfather had a friend who was a major in the army, so I now have a gov. Issue 1911 and 1,000 rounds of old unfired m1911 ball that was "given" to him in exhange for a bottle of Jack Daniels.
General 2nd hand military come up thread I guess?

Holy shit those cartridges w/ boxes must be worth a ton in that condition.
about 6 PASGT vests
3 or 4 OTVs
An Otis gun cleaning kit for every caliber up to 0.50"
about 500 dollars worth of knives, mostly Gerbers
3 or 4 pairs of SAPIs
Thank you DRMO yard and the junk heap on Camp Liberty.
I had a springfield 30-40 krag given to me.
Too bad it was completely fucked till there was no value.

It has no value to anybody else but it was my great granpappys gun. Couldn't get rid of it even if I wanted too.
Why exactly are battleships considered obsolete /k/?
Wouldn't a large warship with adequate air/sub defence and enough CIWS be usefull?
I thought the USN was looking for a ship for Shore bombardement, wouldn't battleships be perfect for that role?

After getting my first Ruger, I see it as the Chevy of guns.
They kinda suck, but for some reason America loves them.

never buy a ruger that's not in a rimfire caliber.
>>28693763
Fairly accurate description. What would the Ford of guns be? Colt maybe?
>>28693854
I've read that their revolvers are pretty sturdy, even if they're ugly as shit.
Would you keep this handy for close encounters?

S-ducts and DSI both require complex computer calculations of the altered airflow, or else you'll get compressor stall.
They can. Pretty much anyone can. The real question is why they chose not to. Someone at Sukhoi fucked up.
>>28692251
Even India can. AL-41F1 not made for s-ducts.
Post videos of police shooting niggers, beating niggers or using pretty much any force. Bonus points for non US law enforcement.

Why aren't Western militaries upgrading their MBTs in response to the Armata?
Because no one cares
>>28691942
Why would they? The armata is an overrated hunk of shit, painfully pushed out of Putin's shriveled rectum to make dipshit slavs worldwide go ballistic about how the US is dying because they didn't waste all their money on a reskined IFV.
At least the criticism of the f-35 made sense.
There are modernization programs in swing (as there should be) but they've been around since 2007ish.
>>28691942
1. It's shit
2. There is zero possibility of the west facing it in battle until it starts being sold to third world countries.
Will be moving to California for a job. What firearm restrictions will I need to be aware of before moving there? Trying to figure out which guns I'll need to "get rid of" (hide)
go home atf jamal is fucking your wife
>>28691805
You don't have to get rid of anything, as long as you don't have NFA items.
If you have centerfire rifles with a pistol grip, you'll need to put a bullet button on them.
If you have standard cap (over 10 round) magazines, then you can have them, but they need to stay disassembled. If you want to use them without getting boned by the law, pin them off to 10 rounds.
The handgun roster blows, but that only applies to new sales.
>>28691805
Ten round limit on long guns
Magazines must be fixed or only removable with a tool
No pistol grips
Probably a bunch of other stupid bullshit. Why don't you just Google it?
