CZ Rami for 685 after taxes and bg check or an M&P shield 9 for around 500ish from private sellers?
Is the extra capacity and sa/da worth the extra shekels and width?
>M&P Shield 9
>$500

Unless you live in Europe and had it smuggled up some gypsy's ass, you're getting fucked with a rake.

>Is the extra capacity and sa/da worth the extra shekels and width?
The premium price on the CZ is for the construction, materials, and name brand. Biggest gripe is even then they don't give you a fucking steel guide rod. 50 bucks for a new spring and guide rod from the custom shop.
Or you could get an LC9s for $350-$375. Or a KelTec. Or whatever other subcompact. They're all pocket guns that are inherently a compromise for concealability. Don't try to read too much into it, IMO. It's not a gun you'll go shooting for fun. It's a gun you want to make sure goes bang when the time is right. Most any gun worth it's salt from a non-shit brand will do that.
>>28712104
I know the M&P Shield is like the standard for concealed carry, but I haven't heard much about the cz. I do prefer SA/DA though, and the extra capacity is probably worth it. In my experience, width doesn't matter that much, the important thing is having a short grip, but this is coming from a guy who cc's a full sized USP, so I may be full of shit.
I don't know anything about the pricing of those guns, but I'd probably go for the cz
Make 'em post 'em and talk about them

That backwards r is stupid.
So why were US subs so much more successful than the Krauts at blockading and starving out an island nation?
Was it anything different they did doctrine-wise, or could the Japs just not into anti-submarine warfare?
>>28710497
The Japs had no effective convoy system. Of course they would be decimated.
>>28710497
Lend-Lease saved the Brits' asses, as much as they hate to admit it. After Dunkirk they had no guns, no ammo, next to no way to fight back. After the Blitz they were running out of food, and basic necessities. So, enter America with a shiny new Atlantic fleet and the largest mercantile fleet at the time, positively bursting at the seems with resources to send to Dear Old Mummy England.
>>28710633
As with Canada. The Brits got lucky.

Fun jobs that will let me station around the world as well as give me mental prep to drop a selection packet a few years down the line? College degree, 95 AFQT no line scores yet, interested in medicine, human intelligence, and flight.
I want to join the military, but there's no way I'd stand for this sort of shit.
I'm very hard-working and motivated. I don't need some fatass drill cunt shouting abuse at me. I won't fucking stand for it. I'd beat the shit out of him if he tried it on me.
>inb4 no you wouldn't
16 years of Judo
9 years of BJJ
4 years of boxing
Yes I fucking would.
I want to go into the division of my choosing and train specifically for the missions I want to do. For example, sniper or special missions involving hostage extraction.
It seems the only way you can do these sort of things is by starting at the bottom and spending a minimum of 4-6 years building your way up and through promotions.
Fuck that. I'm elite. I have a Masters degree and two black belts. I'd only do it on MY terms.
>inb4 this means you lack discipline and wouldn't be suitable
No, it demonstrably does not. Quite the opposite actually. I'm not some 16 year old falter who dropped out of high-school. I'm a finely tuned and well oiled machine.
I want my missions given to me in a fancy offices. I don't want to be told to grab a shovel because we're "digging in tonight".

Are crossbows useful in any way, form, or shape in this age?
Have they improved compared to the middle ages significantly?
>>28697857
They're only useful if they have a Slide Fire stock. Otherwise, the rate of fire is too low.
>>28697857
Faithful reproductions of Medieval crossbows would take a little more skill to use but are probably far more effective in use than modern target/hunting crossbows. Besides, they look proper and not like some kind of tactizombie mall ninja abortion that begs for death. If you get a crossbow, get an authentic-ish one like OP Pic with a nice heavy draw and go have yourself some fun.
>>28697857
They can easily penetrate soft ballistic armor. Ballistic plate. not so much.

I have a question /k/, why did so few countries use shotguns for combat historically? It seems really only the US used shotguns during WWI and WWII? Why didn't anybody else see the utility in them?
>>28714913
They're not very good in combat and aside from 'scaring people' and breeching, they were an inferior choice compared to just having an SMG (as in back during World War One and Two).
>>28714913
That thing is pure sex.
There was an episode of Tales from the Gun that mentioned the Europeans saw shotguns as something upper class twits used to kill birds. Where in America they were used for survival. Basically, everyone but Americans saw it as an ungentlemanly gun. Pretty sure they even mentioned the Germans in WWI threatened to execute anyone prisoners caught with them.
>>28714913
Shotguns hurt the Europeans delicate shoulders so they weren't very popular with them, they prefered smaller cartridges
Has anyone gotten a refund yet?
Yer mom apparently won't give them without a reciept
>>28713489
I called them last week, still waiting -_- from what I read they got way more returns than they though they would get. It got to the point that the postal service quit delivering and asked them to bring a truck and pick up their returns.
>>28713489
wut happened?
What's the loudest firearm I can get for under $1,000. I want something that'll make people move over a few stalls when I'm shooting at the range. Pic related is my choice for loudest handgun. Can you think of something louder?
Eat a shitload of onions, garlic, cabbage and don't shower for a few weeks.
Will be more effective.
.454 Alaskan. Maybe a S&W 500 handcannon. A sawn off mosin.

30-06 carbine with a muzzle brake or just a black powder cap and ball gun if it's an outdoor range.
