I was just hired to work at a small local bakery and start tomorrow. This will be the first place I've worked that doesn't have an explicit "if you have a carry license, please carry" policy, and I'm not sure how (or even if) I should approach the subject.

The owner a nice religious middle-aged white guy, so I figured it could go either way. If he's anti/neutral I don't want to come off as a psychopath by asking if I can bring a weapon to work, especially since I'm brand new. Since I have to wear a tucked-in shirt, I can't easily just carry anyway. I could wear my .380 in a tuckable holster, but the clips would be showing, and I'd feel on edge the whole time since I wouldn't have permission and the gun would (in my mind) be partially exposed.

What would /k/ do? Since I came to the US I've been carrying 24/7, even at work, so this new job is quite the change. I'm not paranoid about anything happening, it's just what I've grown to be comfortable with. Not carrying is like forgetting my phone or wallet at home.

Also, while we're on the subject, who here carries at work? What/how do you carry, and do you have permission?

Just carry it concealed, keyword concealed. If you can't manage that then turn in your CCW
>>

I already addressed this.

>I could wear my .380 in a tuckable holster, but the clips would be showing, and I'd feel on edge the whole time since I wouldn't have permission and the gun would (in my mind) be partially exposed.

You think that's a good idea?
>>
>>28861466
You'd be on edge in the beginning until you get used to it. Appendix may help with that too. But this is what concealed carry is all about, carrying when no one knows about it.

/k/ommandos, Cthulhu has risen from R'lyeh and you are tasked to terminate this ancient one by any means necessary.

What do you do and what would your strategy be in battling this creature?

Is 45 ACP the most overrated caliber ever? I mean it is just a fat slow more exxpensive bullet with a higher recoil than a 9mm with similar ballistics.

What is the point?

The funny thing is that a pneumatic assault weapon is legal in most gun-grabber jurisdictions.

By that logic free speech should be restricted to books, newspapers, word of mouth, and public speaking with no amplification. Why are they so fucking dumb?

Ok so this might sound crazy but I want to get shot with a 9mm just to see what it feels like.

Obviously im gonna use ball ammo and have my buddy shoot me in a non-lethal area like my ass or my calf muscle.

What should I have on-hand to clean up the wound?

I will be uploading the video to youtube as an educational video to show what 9mm can really do, even if it's not a hollow point.

I'm gonna be on 30mg of oxycodone because I'm a pussy.

What do you guys think? What's the best spot to get shot for educational purposes? Suggestions on which brand to use?

I'm gonna put this myth/meme to an end that 9mm doesn't have enough "stoppin powah'

Whats wrong with them you beta white knight? Women being raped may have been tabboo before the sexual revolution, when they valued their virginity and when being a non-virgin significantly impacted your ability to get married. Nowadays this isnt the case. Here is a protip, whatever grill you stalk on facebook isnt going to give you a handjob over it. This totally disregards the fact that you'd never do it because youre noguns.

How could the United States win the War?(Besides avoiding it all together)

There are two strategies I see working.

The Kennedy strategy, and the Nixon strategy. The LBJ strategy was the uncomfortable middle ground between the two.

Under Kennedy

>Just say no to ground troops
>if the state can't hold with our help, it can't survive
>large amount of secret squirrel shit

Essentially, a standard Foreign Internal Defense campaign, like the ones the US had previously fought in Greece, South Korea, and China.

The Nixon doctrine was

>let there be no limit to the bombing
>the ground will shake until you make peace
>try and play the Chinese and the Soviets off of each other
>if Laos and Cambodia won't stop the communists from using their countries as staging areas, go ahead and invade them too
>ignore hippies
>make open threats against Soviet Union itself
>also try and built up the South Vietnamese as a fighting force, but less exclusively as the Kennedy strategy
>>
>>28859609
Charge the hippies with espionage and frame them as Soviet spies. Try to shift public opinion to support the war effort while preventing the hipster fucks from spoiling it by making it unpopular. Proceed the war effort

>Rifle for Scoot

I think it needs to be revisited.

Instead of just dogmatically parroting what Jeff Cooper laid out way back when, why don't we look at what Col. Cooper was trying to accomplish IN EVERY ASPECT.

My quick estimate
>extreme reliability and lifespan of weapon
>quick acquisition optic with zoom
Here he suggests a combination of a low powered forward mounted scope and a back up ghost ring iron sight. Both being readily usable.
>2 minutes of angle or less (4") at 200 meters/yards (3 shot groups)
>unloaded weight of 6 and a half pounds or less
>length of 1 meter or less

>lastly stipulates that the rifle must be a fullsize rifle round

So how do we translate this all with the best modern advantages?

Can we satisfy the spirit of all these rules while also improving? Something maybe still lighter, or automatic?

This is a question for discussion, I don't believe I know what if most correct. I do think there must be room for improvement by now.

So, any semiautomatic function that offers the same robustness of a bolt action, under typical use? I'm pretty certain we can satisfy what he wanted from the optics and sights BETTER with modern technology.
