CZ-75 is top tier. The new PPQ-5 looks bad as hell.

On paper, I don't see how Germany could have possibly done as well as they did in WWI and WWII.
>Had to fight the world's greatest navy
>Had to fight the world's greatest (at the time) land army
>Had to fight the world's largest army
>Had to fight the world's greatest financier and arms manufacturer
Twice they took on the other 4 great powers, and twice they almost won or at least forced them into ceding to Germany's demands. Their enemies had vast colonies and populations to draw people and resources from, and Germany still slapped them around before they were ground down to defeat.
>>28926826
>done as well as they did.
Well, they lost. Russia was busy rotting from the inside and the Western Front was the biggest collective loss of life from warfare at that time. The Royal Navy blockaded Germany into starvation and everyone started running out of manpower to throw into the shredder, especially France.

The fact that Germany wasn't steamrolled by the other great powers is a testament to their leadership, especially during the first world war.

Why did this aircraft have so much trouble up until Desert Storm and then suddenly become our most effective aircraft of the war?
Jews.
Weaponry caught up with the delivery platform.
Doctrine up until just before then was high speed ingress at low altitude for accurate hits with unguided bombs.
As Paveway laser guided bombs came into wider use, the F-111 became the best option to put them on. Strategic bombers were still for carpet bombing, with long range cruise missiles just coming into service. The newest F-16s were just getting LANTIRN pods at the time, and didn't have a high enough payload compared to the F-111.
The F-111 was able to carry a large number of guided bombs, and actually had crews that had trained with them. It had the payload, range, speed, and survivability for deep strike missions.

Out of curiosity, what was the "trouble"? I know the planned carrier variant failed, but was there something else?
What went wrong?
>>28926540
Nothing? It fills the intended role fine.

Listening to memes on /k/ and thinking it's an AP round.
M855a1 is a pretty serious improvement. Also it wouldnt fragment soon enough which made it a hole puncher in Mogadishu.
A guy I work with fucking loves RIP ammo and buys completely into it.
How do I explain to him that he's a retard?
>>28926261
the obvious answer is to shoot him with it
>>28926261
A hollow point actually does more damage, the concept here is similar if you don't want to risk over penetration.
It's legit OP.
Multiple wound channels DO increase the likelihood of hitting a vital or major artery.
Why did the US military (or any other, for that matter) adopt a repeating air rifle like the Girandoni? It seems like it was superior to the single-shot muzzle-loaders of the day.
>>28926167
Too expensive.
>>28926167
Expensive and fragile for general issue. Also couldn't be used to mount a bayonet, can't be used as a club. Also, when the air tanks are empty they require hundreds of pumps to get them to full pressure.
The Austrians issued a few to skirmishers and marksmen, light infantry, the SOF of their day, but not to regular line infantry.
Expensive, didn't take abuse particularly well, if the thing breaks you're not fixing it in the field easily
Is this man the hero of /k/?
>>28925789
He is our father, and forgotten weapons is that really quiet uncle that seems nervous a lot but goes fucking crazy when he gets the chance.

Today was the first western north Carolina Meetup. We had 6 guys out in the woods, and we had a blast.
It was a 75 yard range, but I'll see what I can do to expand that distance as best as I can. We also started running out of fun things to shoot, so I'll be sure next time to have more clay pidgeons, reactive targets and some steel. I'd like to hang a gong behind the 75 yard bench.

Looks like fun!
Sandhills here.
Sorry I couldn't make it.

so the other day I asked you assholes if i should buy a Predator Customs complete lower with a 7.62 frakenupper with 5 mags and 500 rds for $600. keks were had. Well, i bought it, and it would not feed for shit.... until i ground off the feed ramp. I didn't even do a good job. 200 shitty steel cased rounds later and not a single malfunction. Why is /k/ so anti 7.62 ar if they are so easy to get working? Im beginning to believe you ARE all nofun poorfags.
>>28924222
>poorfags
>5.56 is more expensive than 7.62
>>28924222
I'am telling you right now, most people on /k/ cannot afford the guns they want, so they settle on other stuff. Then when people tell them their choice was wrong they sperg out, because they love what they have.
in general I always heard that the failure point in 7.62x39 ar's was the magazines, not the feed ramps. But im glad yours works man. have a fun time out their.
Because they look ugly as fuck, if you want to shoot Russian surplus ammo get a 5.45 AR
Why don't you ever see AA Missile launchers on MBTs (a la Command & Conquer's Mammoth tank)? The M6 Linebacker had Stinger Missile Launchers on the side. Why couldn't or shouldn't we do the same with an MBT, and cover a larger range of targets?
>>28924163
Because the US is not north korea.
M6 Linebacker for reference. It's a M2 Bradley that had the TOW Launcher replaced with a 4 Barrel Stinger Launcher.
Forgot the image.
>>28924181
Yeah, probably better to develope a vehicle for a specific task, and have it excel at it, instead of being pretty good at many things.
What would it take to modernize the USS Constitution in order to return it to active service? Here's a thought - it sails under wind power and is made out of wood, meaning it makes no electrical noise (meaning can't be detected by sonar) and the wood means it can't be picked up on radar. Stick some vertical launch tubes for Tomahawks and what we have is a stealth destroyer that can't be detected by modern navies.
It's basically a floating glider. It cannot be stopped.

My girlfriend locked all my guns into a safe she thought I knew the password to.
I do not. All of my guns are in there. How do I get this thing open? How do I get it open without destroying it?
The last digit is 22.
Call her and ask her what the password is?
Call a lock smith, probably cost you 100 bucks
Process of elimination. Won't be too bad if you already know one number.
