I'm looking at either purely for HD and an occasional 3-gun match.
Was going to go with the 19 for simplicity's sake, but got a good offer on a FDE 17. What do?
>>28932131
Get both. I have a Glock 19. I have too many other things to buy right now before getting yet another handgun, once I knock that stuff out of the way, I'm picking up a Glock 17.
If you only want one, and you don't plan to CC it go full frame. Unless you have manlet hands, a full frame is better for anything competition and HD. Same reason "combat pistols" aren't compacts
>>28932131
>Was going to go with the 19 for simplicity's sake
What does that mean?
>MSBS bolt carrier
>welded together
>this is the new wondergun everyone is clamoring for
>welded
Polish engineering.
Oh wow.
I had such hopes that this would actually be a viable option, but no; SCAR still reigns supreme.
YIKES
Just look at those welds.

>When the topic of conversation came around to ways of defeating the bombs, everyone was in agreement. "They would have charts up on the wall showing the insurgent cells they were facing, often with the names and pictures of the guys running them," Rivolo remembers. "When we asked about going after high-value individuals and what effect it was having they'd say, 'Oh yeah, we killed that guy last month, and we're getting more IEDs than ever.' They all said the same thing, point blank: '[O]nce you knock them off, a day later you have a new guy who's smarter, younger, more aggressive and is out for revenge.'"
>'Oh yeah, we killed that guy last month, and we're getting more IEDs than ever.'
At what point does the military stop and say maybe this isn't working?
What isn't working?

>>'Oh yeah, we killed that guy last month, and we're getting more IEDs than ever.'

Right, depending on the structure of an organization targeted assassinations vary in effectiveness. But there are a lot of factors that go into the decision making process that eventually ends in the death of an aggressor. I think the proper question to ask here would be do we have the right tools to deal with the widest possible set of circumstances possible or are we putting all our eggs in one basket?
In Waka Flocka Flame's song - "Go Hard In Da Paint," he mentions on a number of occasions his gun, saying "front yard, broad day, with the SK." What gun is he talking about? The only gun I can think of is the SKS, but I can't imagine a hard-rolling, corner-bending gangster like Flame owning and using an SKS for drivebys. A quick google search yielded no consensus on the matter. Anyone here know what he might be talking about?
>>28930702
SKSes aren't actually that uncommon with black people
>>28930705
He might be talking about an SKS, but let's be practical here, a gangster needs something compact, easy to conceal, and easy to shoot with on the move, for example from a car. The SKS is not the ideal weapon for a gangster. Something like a MAC-10 or an Uzi, the quinticential gangster weapons of the modern age.
>>28930732
Except he's not in his car, fgt.
He clearly said he was in his front yard, which is presumably spacious enough to wield a rifle.
Whats the best 5.56 defensive ammo?

7.62x39

probably hornady TAP or something, I use off-brand JHPs since they only have to go 60 feet.

tryhard
the metaphors he uses are tedious as hell
he's okay. not really my type of reviewer, but he's good with introducing new people into guns. (causal approach doesn't go full sperg into details and such)

I like when he has hot black chicks on the show, I want their aids in my penis.
His smilies (not metaphors, learn your english bitch>>28930280) do seem contrived at best though.
Hey /k/ I'm bored wonder if anyone cares about a new 12b ama

A pack of this thing is hunting you day and night in the woods you live in, they wont stop until it kills you.
How would you survive?
Wait for the battery to run out?

I'd give it about 2 hours.

I'll cover myself in mud and then challenge it to hand to hand combat.

Let's look past the cringe-tier mallninja marketing. Their torture tests are sort of cool, but watching a fat man (or the one-eye man, or the tryhard in pic related) slice up pork bodies get old.
Are Cold Steel knives actually any good?
I EDC a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm considering getting a larger knife to EDC with, as well as possibly a survival knife. (County law prohibits carrying folding knives with longer than 3" blades; something like an Espada XL would be nice when I wasn't in the county, which is pretty frequent for me.)
>>28928237
Have a grip too, it's my definite EDC. Also have a coldsteel. Solid knife as well, they are quite different. Cringey ads though baka desu.
I also have a mini grip.
fukken gr8, perfect EDC

Post only your rarest and hottest nuggets
Pretty rare to be honest.
Rarest mosin in the world. There are many like it, but this one is mine, and that makes it unique.
all matching 1928 Izzy ex dragoon. Not that rare in and of itself, but I like the serial
I'm in the market for a .22 pistol. Cause I guess everyone needs a .22 and I dont have one yet. I also need a pistol that my younger sister could learn to shoot on.
I was considering the Ruger SR22 because it functions like a typical pistol, which will translate to using a defensive pistol when she's old enough for it. After fondling one at the lgs, I'm a bit concerned with its functionality. I guess all .22s seem cheaply made to me though.
Also considering the S&W MP22
Not really interested in ruger Mk III, 22/45, buckmarks, or S&W model 22a or anything of that kind because the design doesn't correlate to non .22 pistols very well.
TL:DR - Best .22 for training a young new shooter
rifle
much more difficult to shoot self/you with it.

Need to train young shooter to shoot pistolas.
She can shoot a rifle, she's shot my AR.
