Hey /k/, I need some advice.

For those of you with SBR'd PS90s and suppressors, I need to ask if it's worth it? Not SBRing it, suppressing it.

Right now on Gunbroker, there's a G5-T for sale. As far as I know, it's the only suppressor on the market (along with the G5) that has a P90 specific quick mount. It's also disconnected.

I've looked up quite a few videos of suppressed PS90s, and it seems like even with a can they aren't hearing safe. I understand you're going to get the supersonic crack, but they all seemed very loud for being suppressed.

Before I go ahead and buy the sucker, I was wondering if I could get input from people who have shot or own a suppressed PS90. Do you think it was worth it? I only plan on having it as a range toy, but am kind of along the lines of thinking, "If it's going to be a range toy, I might as well go all out and make it the best range toy I can make it."

For what it's worth, I already have the ball rolling for the following cans:

>Osprey 45
>SOCOM 556 RC2
>Saker 762

I know I could make the SOCOM work, but then I wouldn't have the correct style muzzle device on the PS90.

I'd rather pay the tax stamp and SBR that sucker.

In case I wasn't clear, I already have a tax stamp out for my PS90. I'm asking if suppressing it is worth it.

Just my 2 cents, but good luck getting anything but basic threads on your cut down barrel unless you use a real FN armorer.

Saw this article about comparing some different brands of ammo, seems like a good study. Really, is there any reason to not just use cheap steel cased ammo?

http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/brass-vs-steel-cased-ammo/

Also general ammo thread I guess. Comparing different brands and cartridges and whatnot.

If you want accuracy, you reload your cases, or your rifle doesn't like steel case.
>>
>>29116221
For plunking I shot the cheapest whatever I can get but as the other Anon said, for rifle accuracy, for reloading and also for defensive carry (more because you want a quality hollow point that won't corrode), yeah it matters.
>>
what is some g2g brands of .223 I should stock up on

I asked in another thread about stocking up on a shitload and as much as I could find the cheapest cpr on ammoseek I dont mind spending another few cents a piece if it means even slightly better quality

>Hanche also writes that the F-35 can tilt its nose upward under control beyond the ability of the F-16. Even at these extreme angles, the pilot can still “point” the nose easily by simply tapping the rudder pedals, Hanche says, adding that he is “impressed with the stability and predictability of the airplane”.

>Hanche writes on the MoD’s official blog that he is “impressed by how quickly the F-35 accelerates when I reduce the [angle of attack]”, suggesting the aircraft instead rapidly regains energy after “breaking” to a near stop with its nose pointed up to 40˚ high in mid-air.

>“The final ‘textbook’ for how to best employ the F-35 in visual combat – basic fighter maneouvres – has not been written yet,” Hanche says. “It is literally being written by my neighbour down here in Arizona!”

HERE

LOOK AT IT

How can submarines hide from something like THIS?? This is just civilian technology, odds are something better is out there. This is the TITANIC, isn't it? It's DEEP AS FUCK and you can tell the image was taken from pretty high up. The Titanic is TWO MILES DOWN and the two halves are almost a half mile apart!!

How can submarines even be justified when technology like this exists? You could probably distinguish a submarine from the bottom with only ONE pass and if you need more, you can network the sonars together and one ship can use two of them or multiple ships can network theirs together.

How can current submarine programs be justified anymore??

The average depth of the ocean is TWO MILES.

Because those scans are so fucking expensive the Titanic is literally the only shit that has been photographed in such remarkable detail.

The Titanic isn't popular because of some shit movie. That's part of it, but the Titanic was a technological marvel of its time, and has been a proving ground for other technological marvels.
>>
>>29114437
Single point scan, narrow scanning cone.
>Oh shit, a boat!
>Just don't let it pass over you.
>>
>>29114437
That composite scan represents almost 5 months of work in sonar passes and then processing. It's also active sonar, which has the same inverse square return threshold to signal detection ratio problem that radar has.

You probably should have bothered to read a book before showing just how ignorant you are in sub ops.

For those of you who have gone to firearms courses, what is the weirdest setup you've seen?

I'm guessing most people show up with an ar15 and a glock maybe a sig.

But, what else have you guys seen?

Rich asian guy did a 3-day tactical carbine course with a Nemo .300wm AR and a Taurus .454 revolver.
>naturally the Nemo had a fucking Nightforce 5-25x56 on it because asians are racially addicted to inappropriately high magnification optics

He actually completed the course, with all ~1600 rounds fired. Guy fired more in ammo than anyone else's rifle was worth.

Saw running a VLTOR AUG A3 and a Five-seveN. Spoke with a very strange accent, sounded half Cajun half Australian. He said he was a native South African who served in the ADF, and does private security now because all he knows how to do is hurt people, never made it past grade 7. Claimed to do some "nasdy buidness in central Afrika"

None of it made sense but for some reason I believed him.

Unless you're a 6 year old, asian female or have only two stubby fingers you're not going to be satisfied with the grips you get on it. The trigger is worst than normal Glocks if that's even possible and the ergonomics is worst than its closes competitors:

MP shield
Springfield XDS

Overall, its small but not amazingly small. It has the least capacity and the trigger is just marginally better than the stock Shield. An XDS would do you better IMHO. The stock trigger on the XDS blows both away.

So I responded to a recent mass shooting. I would prefer not to say which one, but when I was on scene there were ATF agents showing up. I was not only able to tell them by the grey dodge pickups recognized from the pic related incident, but they also stepped out and put on ATF jackets. My question is, what would the ATF be doing on a shooting like that where the shooter is no longer a threat? Firearms evidence collection or what?

Assuming a massive nuclear exchange between NATO and Russia plus China and India and the destruction of pretty much all the major cities of the world and resulting EOTWAWKI scenario, how long would dams last after humanity reverts to medieval technology?

Specifically, earthfill dams like this one.

Would the locals be able to maintain the dam indefinitely with a dark ages level of technology, or would it just degrade over time and eventually fail after a few decades or centuries?

is this a god dam?

In what fantasy world does a full exchange of nuclear arms are you proposing? Real life isnt fallout

No, it's an earthfill dam.

Why does no one really like the 20" AR15s? I think they look pretty great, granted I have no experience with them. It seems like there's a lot of hate on them.
