Why isn't bullpup considered strictly superior?
I've never actually handled a bullpup rifle, is it awkward to hold due to the hands being close together or something?
A non-bullpup basically adds deadweight/useless length for a butt to place on the shoulder, a bullpup avoids this. Why aren't all new rifles bullpups?
>>29145297
The triggers are pretty mushy on every bullpup
Some people like the traditional rifle design better
Adjustable LOP stocks are not really a thing on bullpups
The extra barrel length is negligible
because bullpups are for faaaaaaaaaaags
unless you're a polesmoking cock gobbler you should not touch a bullpup

I know this whole "every marine a rifleman" and "first to fight" shit is all marketing and memery but why is it that every time an army unit trains alongside a marine unit you see a bunch of fit men in tailored uniforms alongside a bunch of fat fucks in garbage bag uniforms?
Because the majority of non POG Marines joined specifically because they are mentally damaged individuals, who grew up in broken homes, who want to go to war and hurt things. We take our military service very seriously. As it should be in any combat unit.
Many army grunts are legit welfare queens, and they don't even require a high school diploma. Not to say there arent some 1337 11x operators, but ij all honesty, a lot of them are bums.
>>29145281
Just now realized that staff sergeant is boot as fuck.
>every Marine a rifleman
>marketing
Not really. EVERY Marine is legit taught how to utilize a rifle plus gets combat training. Now whether the individual takes their training seriously is up to them.
>first to fight
This refers to how we're first in when it comes to conventional warfare. One of the Marine Corps missions is to act as a shock troop, while the Army comes in after to hold it. Again this is referring to the services' standard infantry.
>>29146423
Rangers lead the way.
Despite thier insecure bragging, marines don't do much of anything but shwack civilians and catch bullets.
What do they mean by this?
>>29144578
You'd probably have to read the original Russian manual to understand it. Molot sure did a poor job of translating the manual to English.
>>29144590
They probably just ran it through google translate.
>>29144578
Seems like a russian to english translation that didn't go so good.
guys are any of you in colorado
For the first time in 4chan history, no one is from Colorado.
>>29144574

Yes...why?
How prepped are you, /k/, on a scale from 1-10? Do you just own a couple of firearms or are you ready to bug out right now?
>>29144387
0, we live in the most peaceful time of human history.
Ehhh... I'll probably die of dehydration long before my weapons would be of any use. Not to mention I don't have much food on hand. So probably a 2 or something. Depends what your hypothetical disaster is.
>>29144387
>bug out
I'm ready to dig in
What was your favorite part of BCT? Pic related for me. It was great to see all the gung-ho mesomorph brofags on their hands and knees crying with snot streaming out of their noses. Shit wasn't that bad, I could have gone back in for a second round.
The day you shoot the M-2. If you don't have a freedom boner after shooting that, you're in the wrong profession.
Went through The Rock with FDNY. It was our first day on fire side, and we all geared up not knowing what to expect. Instructors put us on air and put us in the burn building, they start a fire.
Tell us if anyone leaves they are done. They brought the temperature to just below flash over levels. Holy fuck that was hot.
Honor Hill gentlemen. Hallowed ground.
Just picked up this little Taurus .38 for my wife to keep around the house. Only $200. What are /k/'s thoughts?
Also home defense weaponry thread
I'd probably just my life to a hipoint over a Taurus. You could have gotten a pump shotgun which would be infinitely better for around the same maybe a little more.
Fail

If you shoot someone with it, I doubt they'll enjoy it.

We have 2 12 gauges in our bedroom. The pistol is just a result of disposable income.

I got some creation mags for my al yesterday and the first one fit perfectly did t even think anything about em. Decided to try and fit them all before I actually took them to a range this weekend.
Well three fit perfectly. One stuck a bit when trying to release and one wouldn't even catch the mag holder at all.
Whip out a file and go to town
First one fits perfectly and now gonna file down the mag catch on the one that wouldn't even latch
After about 30 mins of filing, gonna test it again.
Missed the front mag catch and the whole mag slips when I jerk it back and the edge I put on it slaps me on the nuckle...
It's about a 1/4 inch deep
And won't stop bleeding
So how's your day?
Anyone else have problems with Croatian shit?
After I cleaned it a bit
It's deep as shit. I can see bone if I separate the skin I'm just trying to keep edges approximated at this point
>>29138423
>wont stop bleeding
dab wound with alcohol, use a non-stick dressing and tape it down gently so its easy to take off.

Drink some fucking water faggotboy.
>that guy at the range safety class who wants everybody to know he has M855
>the same guy at the range safety class who doesn't understand why you can't fire loose black powder in an indoor range
>same guy again who wanted the whole class to kmow that 9x18 exists because he has a soviet Era Makarov
>that one old lady who is scared shitless and makes it as convuluted and complicated as possible when asking when she knows the range is hot
>the same guy as before who says he reloads 5.56 to "mil spec"
>>29138059
>why you can't fire loose black powder in an indoor range
remind me
kill them all johnny
>>29138074
It's bad for the ventilation and they don't want loose black powder floating around.
What would the legality of a mobile gun store be?
Say I wanted to buy/make an off road RV type vehicle like pic related, and make the interior into a small gun store I could drive around and be able to set up at events and such, would it be legal?
Would there be restrictions like could I only operate withing my home state or could I be able to travel the nation selling guns?
>>29136881
considering that these do not exist, I'm going to guess they are not legal.
>>29136901
>>29136881
Actually I think the FFLs at gun shows count as mobile gun dealers since they sell stuff outside of their registered storefront or address.
Not sure what the legalities are, perhaps a gunshop anon whose worked a gun show could explain it.
>>29136881
>>29136901
Don't see why it would be any less legal than a gun store owner setting up a pavilion at an event such as a gun show.
I'm not sure about out of state though.
How do I be a warrior and fighter /k/?

>Firing a gun from a tri-pod makes it more powerful
Is there actually any truth to this? It doesn't sound right but I don't know enough about it to say its untrue.

He is British and has no military experience, which means his understanding of firearms is about as refined as the average COD kiddo.
>>29136609
Check the catalog.
It makes it easier to control, which makes the "machinegun" (a unit consisting of a gunner, tripod and gun) more powerful. But the gun itself is still the same.
Hey guys I have a scar 17 I was wondering what type of scope I should get?. Looking to spend up to 600. But no more any info?
Buddy you have a SCAR. Don't cheap out on optics now.
Leupold vxr patrol.
>1.25-4x magnification
>optional red dot illumination
>zeroing is a breeze of you read the fucking manual.
>diamond coat on outer lense
>crystal clear glass
If you can get your hands on one it'll sell itself. Only complaint is it's not very friendly on shooting with both eyes even on the lowest setting
Dont skip out on Optics since you bought a SCAR. by a good 1x4 optic from vortex or a nice 10x from leupold
Okay so I'm gonna go on a backpacking trip from Florida to Arizona, mostly on foot maybe a bus every now and then, what's the best gun I should have? I'm 18 so no handguns yet
>>29136237
perhaps an AR?
or you could get a mossberg 500, pistol grip only. would be easy to sling around and it will work on most woodland creatures quite effectively
The mossberg sounds nice, I'll be in the urban most of the time anyway
Sub2k so you can actually stow it away and not look like a psychopath brandishing a firearm.
