Gettysburg should be /k/ approved. It's not got OPERATING in it but it does manliness in general.

It took me the longest time to discover that Parker and Longbaugh were the real names of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Why is .40 the preferred caliber for black people?
>>29171667
Because 40oz's of malt liquor
I've asked myself this very question many times. If only I could share some insight. They seriously do love .40
Police code for a firearm on the radio here is a 40.
Which country's army has the most combat experience? maybe it's the iraqi army? they fought americans, insurgents from all kind, other middle eastern countries, and they're still fighting until today. etc etc
First off, the Iraqi army has never fought the American military. If an organized military ever fought the US military, it wouldn't exist.
You're probably thinking of the Iraqi Armed Forces, which doesn't exist anymore.
Because they fought America.
They were replaced by the Iraqi Army, which is pretty much held together by the USA.
And if by combat experience, you mean getting shot at and dying a lot, whilst having inferior discipline, training, education, and munitions, then yes, they have that in spades.

*If an organized military ever fought US modern military, it wouldn't exist.

Well what about the U.S? does the recent war experience add up anything compared to the big military numbers?
or russia? during the georgian and chechen war? did they gain any good experience from that?
What does /k/ think of FN SCAR?

I don't like the way they look, but by all accounts they're great rifles.
>>29171626
They'll hate on the light version, but on a real shtf scenario it would be the easiest to support.
Shoot it yet? I love mine.

How did Ireland manage to beat countries like America Britain in an international sniper competition?

America valuers quantity over quality m8, while yuros go the other way and value individual skills more.

lets say we all got nonlethal rubber ammunition ok? just hypothetically.
we also happen to have queer gear or w/e to soften the impacts and protect our faces/crotch/eyes.
we go in with our nuggets, ARs, glocks, famases, and so on in a fucking cavern/forest mixed field at night. split into groups of 8-10. winner takes tax stamps. each player is out when they say uncle.

I wore something similar with a serpa holster in pic related recently and it felt really goddamn comfortable, like the way I would prefer to carry my everyday pistol. Problem is, I only got to wear it for a short period of time and didn't really have a chance to experience any of the problems that may come with it.
Any experiences, good or bad?
Wore one once.
Belt holster or strong side plate carrier for life.
Thigh holsters are for gate guards.
>>29169854
Belt holster just seems inconvenient at this point, having to reach up to slip it from the holster and put my wrist at an odd position. It feels way more natural for me to be able to be able to pull it up and at what I intend to shoot in one fluid motion.
I've tried strong side plate carrier before, that's a favorite too, though I don't wear my plates on a day to day basis...
>shit tier option that's tiring to run in with straps that migrate and shift

What would be the best way to get a gun barrel illegally into a another country. This is research for a screenplay I'm writing
>>29169682
Gun barrels can be shipped anywhere legally. You are poorly informed.
>>29169682
Up your butt.
>>29169708
no. in many countries, its considered a critical component, and must be imported as a weapon.
thats about every civilized country except for usa
Hey /k/ I figure night time could give me better answers than day /k/
Is $500 a good price for this Mak-90?
If not is it worth more or less?
>>29169369
>milled reciever
I'm not an expert on chinese ak's but I doubt that it's a mak90 and something more valuable. Either way, if it is a chinese ak, it's well worth the $500 any day. You could ask Chimps on /akg/ because he has somewhat of an autistic knowledge for aks.
>>29169387
Ah, well it says made in chine next to the magwell with a norinco stamp. it also has fully enclosed sights, but I don't know enough to know if thats indicative of a mak 90
Perhaps I will post in there
>$500
>AK
just buy it already
can't be any worse than spending that on a WASR (which cost more nowadays)
K why is it frowned upon to have a trigger job on your EDC. I hate the feel of a Glock trigger and want to change it.
because people are afraid prosecutors will say HE MADE IT INTO AN UNSAFE BABYKILLING MURDER MACHINE AND NOT A DEFENSIVE TOOL
>>29169325
He already did. LOOK AT THOSE SIGHTS.
Those sights are made specifically to make follow up shots faster. That firearm clearly is set up for killing, not self defense.
>>29169317
>K why is it frowned upon to have a trigger job on your EDC. I hate the feel of a Glock trigger and want to change it.
>frowned upon
What? Get something like a skimmer trigger on it and for the sake of fuck, make sure you have a good quality holster.
>>29169325
I've been seeing this bullshit crop up more and more lately, literally the same shit as "yer guhns gunna be taken away 100% of duh time"
Hey /k/ after years of lurking I finally have the spare cash to buy my first gun. I want to get a rifle and am leaning twards the sks.
I plan to
>plink things
>take it on hikes on federal land
>use it to hunt
>self/home defense
And maybe go to the range but I've never been into that so much
My one question is: Is the Sks the rifle for me? I have heard rumors of its accuracy being iffy and would like some more info
Depending on the variant, you could either get an excellent piece or a lemon.
1. The soviet ones aren't super common anymore, and the price isn't really worth it for what you get.
2. Yugo Zastavas are reasonably priced, and the lack of a chrome-lined barrel makes for a more accurate rifle. However, they're about a pound heavier than most SKSs.
3. Chinese copies are iffy-to-okay if you can find them for cheap, which is out of the question in the US.
4. East German ones are pretty rare, but they're excellent rifles. I've personally only held one once, and I could tell that a lot of work went into it. They're mad-pricy though.
There are other variants out there, but I'm not familiar with them. There are plenty of forums dedicated to old Slav rifles like the SKS though, so I'm sure you can find the information you need.
>>29168868
What makes you say you can't find type 56's cheap?
>>29168818
Why an SKS exactly?
