I'm genuinely sorry your iq is the same as your age.
"once more into the BREECH"
or
"once more into the BREACH"
?
>>29183538
>Once more into the PEACH.
It's a loli poem.
>>29183538
breech = noun
chamber end of barrel
breach = verb
to forcefully open or enter something
t. not even a native English speaker
It's actually "once more UNTO the BREACH" straight from Henry V
How quickly would a late WW1 British battalion be destroyed by an early WW2 German battalion?
What would be the case if the nationalities were switched for the scenario?
Wouldn't the WW2 soldiers get bogged down with endless artillery? Their planes are pretty much on the same level
>>29183384
Apples to oranges.
Two completely different doctrines with completely different support options and those WW2 battalions would have WW1 vets in them. So fuck off and think before you post.
>>29183384
Intelligence will be a big factor here - yeah, guns from WWI will be able to penetrate early war tanks fine, but if they're not expecting them, they're fucked - what information does either side (especially the WWI side) have about the capabilities of their opponent.
And then there's terrain and supplies and shit.
>>29183384
>Their planes are pretty much on the same level
Are you kidding me? You cannot compare Sopwith Camels to DO 217's and FW190's.
Guy heat treats a sword in lava.
http://youtu.be/Z66tvI31N0E
I think he left it in a little too long and ruined the sword, but otherwise the only way this could have been more badass is if he quenched it in dragons blood and forged the sword from a meteorite and used Hercules bones as a carbon source. Maybe using a human skull as a crucible...
What would be the most badass way to create a quality functional sword?
>>29183197
By fucking using real blade smithing techniques instead of being a faggot playing out some D&D fantasy.
>>29183197
this has to be in the top 10 most autistic things I've seen outside of /k/
has this retard not seen lord of the rings? his soul will belong to the sword now and 3000 years from now someone will have to destroy the sword in the same lava
What happened to this thing? It looked so much cooler than the F-117.
>>29182972
>radar cross section smaller than a duck
The F-22 has a radar cross section the size of a golf ball, that's what happened
>>29183271
I don't understand why a smaller RCS matters. A golf ball sized object flying at 20k feet at 800mph is too suspicious to be ignored as a golf ball. Same with a duck sized object. It won't be ignored regardless of size. A truly radar invisible plane should follow the flight path of the object it resembles. If it shows up as a duck on radar, it should fly like a duck.
>>29183576
and do you know how i know you're a retard?
Is war boring?
Only if you're a Loader in a tank
>>29182937
99% Pure Boredom followed but 1% of Shear Terror.
Kind of. Most of the time you just sit there waiting for action or you're repairing & preparing.
Is this a good side arm for hog hunting? Like if I shoot all my bullets in the gun and can't reload quick enough, I can pull this out? Should I put 45lc in it or 410?
>>29182428
I have hog hunted for many yrs....that there is just fucking retarded...You'd be better off with dogs and a spear over that pos.
.45 Colt is fine on hogs.
Two shots to the chest should be lights out fairly quickly. Heart is low down and easy to hit.
Not to mention in the ear.
>>29182461
you act like hogs are an easy target. They're fast as hell and with how they spook easily, you never get to close to them. You'll see a lot of ppl who are amazing at shooting, can mag dump at a hog and still miss. You clearly don't know what you're talking about, should fuck off faggot.
So what's the reason for the Italian army performing so poorly during WWII? I just read that Mussolini didn't really care about the high command and how it was handled and it also mentioned that the average Italian didn't like the constant wars that always dragged on longer than expected, but on the other hand I remember there were always a bunch of volunteers, even around '44 when Mussolini only held the north of Italy.
>>29182419
Laziness.
Debts.
The same reasons today.
>>29182419
italy just has not been good at war since the fall of rome. they suffered from inept leadership, unmotivated troops that really did not want to be there and mediocre weaponry. Italy did have a strong side though they were very capable of switching sides when they were about to lose
The Italian people weren't motivated to fight that war the way the German people were. Also Italian commanders were idiots.
At the start of the war the Italians had a great Navy and a decent air force. The problem is that everyone else surpassed them as soon as the war broke out and they all increases production and out out new planes and shit

We've had this thread a dozen times, and nobody ever claims the nugget is a great rifle who isn't obviously shitposting.
It used to be popular because it was $50, and you're just too big of a newfag to realize it.
>>29182390
I hate that faggot Alex, but he makes a lot of good points about the mosin.
I own a Mosin and I love shooting it, but I recognize and admit that it pales in comparison to other surplus rifles from the era.

>NUGGETFAGS ON SUICIDE WATCH
the nugget is a decent cheap rifle to test the waters of gun ownership with
it's not a lifestyle or something, excluding that nuggetcollector tripfag
What Taurus guns aren't shit, or is that mainly just an old meme? I've heard their 85 line of revolvers and the beretta copies are good. Lots of people are mentioning the TCP nowadays.
>>29182386
There is NO TAURUS GUN THAT ISN'T SHIT, drill that into your head.
A while back Taurus bought the machining tools from Beretta to make the pt92 and pumped out some decent 92 clones but being Brazilian monkeys they didn't maintain them and new pt92s are just as garbage as the rest of the lineup.
They also had a run of decent 1911s but that's over now too.
For the price of Taurus you would be better off buying literally fucking any other gun, from a hi point to a canik it would be better than anything a Taurus monkey assembles and quality checks.
PT111 G2 is ok
but you can get better stuff for close to the same price

I have yet to see something as good for 200$.
Daily reminder that PMAGs are prone to failure when loading on a closed bolt and that Magpul claims it's a feature.

>look ma I posted it again
>This could happen sometimes, but magpul won't believe me
>PMAGs are prone to becoming difficult to insert on a closed bolt, but still overall easier to insert than a fully loaded USGI mag even in this failure mode
Does /k/ name their weapons? Do you actually refer to them by those names when talking to other people?
>Think of 'joke' names for weapons, usually diminutive or having to do with the weapon's flaws.
>Never use names because it still sounds autistic as fuck.
What does /k/ call their favorite boomsticks?

I named my pistol Sinestra.
I was strongly considering getting it etched in Latin on the slide, but decided against it, as invariably it'd be used against me in court if I had to defend myself.
Why do AR pattern rifles have more bolt failures than most of their competitors.
There are many theories, the most compelling one being because you touch yourself at night.
Because your parents don't love you
>>29181757
because people buy and use shitty bolts
i know a guy with a fucked up AK receiver, cuz he took a flat and didnt heat treat it, then didnt put ANY sort of finish or protective coat on the receiver so its just a bare metal receiver, which is starting to loosen and is rusted to shit

Hey /k/ non-gun owning American here
All this anti gun shilling from the democratic party lately is getting me pretty spooked about the possibility of liberals trying to repeal or restrict 2nd amendment if they gain too much power.
What is the best way to go about buying a firearm for self defense without ending up in some database somewhere? What are some good recommendations for relatively cheap handguns?
