Range = $20.00 a day.
9mm ammo = $10.00 for 50rd. Plus 40 mile drive to and back.
>Am I wrong for getting a cheap realistic co2 BB pistol to train and plink with in my semi-rual yard?
I think airguns can be an interesting way to learn the basics, especially in places where you cannot shoot. However I don't think it can replace real gun training in the long run.
It's not really going to be comparable since the trigger and recoil impulse are nothing alike, but it will probably help with some stuff and they are a lot of fun on their own... The airsoft sig I bought was garbage though so it is probably worth it to buy a good solid one.

>Sulsa du Corp, that's why!
Is it high powered enough for your rigorous training?
Hello gunpeople. How likely is it to be shot 12 times including in the head and be 'absolutely fine'?
He was shot by a marine that had spent 4 years in iraq, although in a technical position afaik.

Being a marine who's been overseas give someone mystical combat skills apparently.
Get your appeals to authority out of here.
Is there a list of operator-core movies /k/?
Watch the final shootout from "The Veteran" right now.
The way of the gun.
I've heard good things about John Wick too.
Tom Cruise in Collateral is operator as fuck.

isnt he the guy who invented the dijibouti shooty?
Any archers here that would be able to give a newfag some advice?
I'm in the process of picking my equipment, but I'm confused as to what to pick for my arrows.
I'll be shooting a target recurve, 66", 30lb (to start with) with a 27" arrow length .
How do i work out what spine and weight point to pick?
I've heard good things about Easton's arrows, so i'm thinking about going with them.
Pretty much every combination of arrow shaft and arrow head has a different weight and flight pattern so the only thing you can do is PRACTICE
>>29214933
So I should just get say some Easton X7's with a spine of 1914 and just keep on at it?
>>29214949
Whatever, it's personal choice. If I was you I'd get ones with a reputation for quality and longevity.
Good morning boyos.
Question. Is there any advantage that a kalashnikov has over an SKS? Besides capacity. It's hard for me to justify paying three times the amount for a rifle that's "ok" at best and will mostly be a trunk gun.
>>29214718
>It's hard for me to justify paying three times
Where are you finding a sub-$200 SKS in 2016?
>>29214735
$350 SKS. 850 AK
I guess it's closer to double but that's not what I'm driving at. What does an AK do that an SKS or AR15 doesn't do better?
>>29214748
You realize you can still find a WASR for lie $550-600 right?
i keep getting my posts removed off /b/ so lets see if i can start a Airsoft tread here.
1. i need to know what type of Airsoft guns /k/ likes
2. i need to know what FPS you guys like high/low
3. i want to get a sniper rifle but there are so many brands and types so i'd love some input
4.as for side arm i was looking for a full metal or slide and trigger metal
5.gas or Batteries
6.ammo type
thanks for any help /k/
lets hope this tread does not get taking down like that last few,

go to /toy/ bro
What did she mean by that?
>>29214052
Its a reference to a common anti-gun slogan "Your right to bear arms is not as important as my right to not have my precious babbys slaughtered" or something along those lines.
>>29214052
didnt she get shot by her babbie?

Say there was a gun that was only made in 5.56, and I wanted it in .308, what exactly would I have to do? I know I'm gonna have to build one from scratch, and I know I'm gonna have to beef up some parts and change the mag well, but I'd like to get /k/'s thoughts on this/how possible it would be. I know there'd be a lot of effort but I have access to enough tooling to do this, it's just a matter of redesign and such.
Pic related is the gun by the way. I know they made and RFB in .308 but I don't want that because it doesn't particularly fit what I'm looking for. This hits all the right spots EXCEPT caliber.
bumping for curiosity. I wanna do this but I wanna not be a retard in doing it.
>what exactly would I have to do?
Spend a lot of money on equipment you don't know how to use and more on learning how to use it or spending more money than both of those by paying someone to do it.
You faggots are so goddamn autistic sometimes. Just find another gun or use 5.56.
>>29213732
Did you not read the part where I have access to the tooling?
If I fired it at someone breaking into my house, would he die? Or would it just be extremely painful?
>>29213385
A spear gun would definitely fuck someone up. Think crossbow
>>29213385
> Or would it just be extremely painful?
for you
Most spear guns are designed to be fired underwater, I'd be careful about buying one for surface use. You're going to want something longer than that babby jbl though.
What do you guys think about bows?
They're cool, and I suck at them.
>>29213334
So does the person that posted that ebay listing.
>>29213313
They're pretty sweet, bow hunting doesn't have nearly the number of restrictions as fun hunting when it comes to suburban areas, basically don't shoot at a house or person and you're good to go most places
What pistol should I get first?
What one or brand do I need to get?
Both
"stabilizing braces" look cooler on ARs.
>>29213340
Can only afford one right now
In a total Dark age reverted SHTF scenario do you think we could re-discover/invent the musket? Or would we be able to catch up to our modern firearms quicker? Or there's the true shit scenario of reverting to blades and bows again.
>>29213263
the tech wouldn't be easily forgotten. the idea of gunpowder weapons would resurface quickly. modern firearms would come along at the same time as modern machining was re-introduced. blades and bows would be relevant as long as materials and resources were scarce
>>29213263
going back to black powder would not push us so far back as the musket, what you would see is a greater reliance on blowback weapon systems as opposed to gas operation, blowback and recoil operated systems can function dirtier than a gas operated system. they are usually heavier or require a system like the g3 that uses a delaying mechanism (roller delay in the case of the g3) to allow for the chamber pressure to drop to safe levels which would be lower in the case of BP. effectively making guns like the AR15 less than usable but guns like the g3 more practicable.
>>29213263
God I love the design of flintlock rifles, if only somebody can keep that design and maybe turn it into a bolt action or semi auto. I'd fucking buy a million of those. But just keep that look, all I ask for.
What is /k/'s opinion on the H&K USP9? I picked mine up last month and have put about 1,000 rounds through it so far.
>>29212929
A very good gun. I really don't give much of a shit about HK's guns personally but the USP line is one of their best.
USP's are great guns.
>>29212929
If you're going to get a USP, go for the .45
Could someone explain to me why promag is shitty? I've never had a problem with them, even the forty round mag. That monstrosity is just fun to use, can't use the bayonet though.
>>29212802
>I've never had a problem with them
Because some people don't go shooting at a square range and actually put hard use through their guns.
Plus, anyone who isn't a dipshit (unlike you) already has an ak for this
>>29212802
You have soft, feminine hands. I'd make you jerk me off after your promag jams up your gun.
>>29212802
Promag mags are manufactured poorly using shitty materials. If you took that mag apart, you would probably find the that the follower sticks once or twice and that the edges of the feed lips, sides of the follower, etc. are sharp. These are all bad things. All removable SKS mags are shit too.
All right /k I've never been in this board before and I just need advice here is the thing: I'm planing on getting a gun for the first time and I don't want to make an asshole of myself at the gun store help me out with some good ideas for what to purchase and like what can I get with my budget 1k top and I don't want nothing related to that Taurus Shit even I know those are for niggers
>>29212778
Shotgun, rifles, pistols, revolvers?
Get a Smith & Wesson M&P shield 9mm or .40 either is good. 9mm probably better for a first gun but I don't know you. The shield is good too because if you decide to get a CCW it's perfect and it's also good for going out and shooting targets.
>>29212778
First learn how to use punctuation you dumb motherfucker.
