Does anyone have a good video explaining how extraction in various firearms works, in detail? Like how it works in an AK or AR, or whatever. I'm interested for reasons.
Pic related, it has to do with those button things, right?
I mean I don't necessarily need a video but yeah, just any explanation.

Eight cycles of function. Listen and remember.
1. Feeding
2. Chambering
3. Locking
4. Firing
5. Unlocking
6. Extracting
7. Ejecting
8. Cocking
If your weapon has a problem it is one of those things. Always remember the cycles of function for automatic weapons.

The extractor on the left catches the edge of the cartridge. The post(s) on the right flip it out.
Why does this not get any love from the CC community? Why is there so much hate for it?
Easily the most comfortable .380 in it's class - DA/SA so everything after your first shot is butter, grade A sights, accurate as fuck, eats everything and still easily concealable. I get that it's not for everyone, but I just went through a lelkek P3AT, XDs 9mm 3.3, to an XDS .45 4.0, Colt 1903 Hammerless, Ruger LC9S (which the wife is keeping, fucking fantastic trigger), Glock 42, S&W Bodyguard, Bersa Thunder, and a Beretta Tomcat. This beats all those in most categories. And it's sub 400.
Is it because of Umarex?

>380
I'll pass
>>29224225
Why? This isn't the fuckin' 70's.
Technology has advanced, .380 is a very capable round.

>>29224173
The fad of the ineffective .380 has passed. Get a caliber that will actually protect you.
How big a gun would it take to stop a 600 lb death machine running full-speed at you?

1st: Learn to speak English.
2nd: Shot placement.
3rd: I'd feel safe with hand grenades and a .50 cal.
.40, 10mm, and .50 is usually your best choice when a grizzly is charging you. If you have hollow points or shredding rounds in a 9mm you might be able to get away with it. I've also heard rumors of semi auto 10-22's being able to do it if you can bounce enough off its face eventually one will make it in the eye if you're lucky. Unfortunately though a .22 usually won't make it past the flesh.
Idk where to post this but let's say some dudes, not me, we're to ambush a party with paintball guns with these intent on stealing those precious coolers, im a give a 3 or man team, Inna suburb, with access to paintball guns, smoke grenades, maybe a co2 bb gun and batons, pls help plan this daring caper
>>29223756
This thread has potential. How drunk are you OP?
>>29223756
Plan from when we exit our vehicle to when these people (again this is tots fantasy) get the cooler and how to exhilarate, obvious stuff like ski masks and covering up our license plates and any identifiable things have been thought of, but the plan of attack is yet to be decided, again this is in a suburban area, in a small town

Am I being detained?
Hey /k/, I'm new to weapons. But I live in USA and want a gun for open carry.
What type:
>pistol
Nothing big. Just something to protect myself from the niggers.

I'll stick to pistols
Thoughts on this for a first handgun/ccw?
>>29223374
Please don't buy a carry gun before you can finger-fuck the thing.
>>29223374
Looks great. .357 revolver leaves no brass behind. It is simple to operate. There is no failure to feed or other common problems found in magazine fed weapons. You have the original point and click.
>>29223408
>leaves no brass behind
Are you a nigger?
A while ago a guy was on here talking about his time as a private maritime contractor. Was wondering how one gets into that sorta field.
Join the military during wartime. It's like college for mercenaries. In theory you could do the job without that prior training, but no hiring manager is going to take the risk.
Quickest way in is the FFL because they almost always have combat missions.
>>29223272
>Was wondering how one gets into that sorta field.
I learned by googling that exact phrase and going from there. Please try it and come back here to post the more specific questions that come up.
This entire process will go smoother for all of us

>join during peacetime in hopes that war breaks out so you're already in and ready to go
This is like trying to get a straight when you're holding a 7 and a 2, right?
opinions?

so you want people to laugh at you in real life and on /k/?

There is literally nothing wrong with these rifles. The package deal is shit, but for a basic bitch rifle, these are ok.
>>29223266
That's a goofy scope setup.

>Step on board a corvette warship and take a deep sea submarine dive with Russia's famous Baltic Fleet. These two Russian Navy vessels are facing off against each other in a tense competition to win a military exercise. Pick your side! The series premieres on 8 March.
Where can I find American or superior Chinese series about military stuff doing military things that are not Hollywood?
Also which won would you pick? The corvette with shit anti sub or the sub chosen by China to patrol the Pacific because it is a black hole at sea? Reminder that a corvette with shit anti sub of the same class located a Virginia that was loitering about when the Russians were testing out a Kilo sub in the North Seas.

>tfw friends call Russaboo for watching these kind of series(red star, military acceptence etc.)
>tfw no good similar format videos on HATO or west in general.
also all that safety first on western videos are fucking annoying and kills all interest.
>These two Russian Navy vessels are facing off against each other in a tense competition to win a military exercise. Pick your side!
None
They are both gonna break down halfway through the competition
>>29224335
you're thinking about amerinigger ships that break down after few weeks in the water... russian ones are resilient as fuck.

russian shit just works.

I have a WASR and will be stocking up on 7.62 that I plan on keeping for a SHTF scenario, maybe 5k rounds or more. I love shooting my AK, but we reload .223 for our AR and it's so much easier to find. I'm considering buying or building an AK rifle in .556 to be able to practice more. I don't want to do 5.45 for the same reason of availability in the future as well as cost and reloading options as 7.62. Can any /k/omrads point me in the right direction to a reliable and reasonably priced rifle that will fit the bill? Anybody have one chambered in this round and can give some input?

If you live in the states and you're serious about SHTF then you own an AR. Plain and simple.

I live in the united states and I'm serious about SHTF and I own a slr 556 that will shit on your AR in any scenario, plain and simple.

>have ak74
>no fucking idea how to zero it
>range is set at 25,50,75,100 yard increments
>need to use meters to properly zero it
>don't know the differences of where shots will land when converting from yards to meters
>little to no information about this online
>anyone who does try to explain this conveniently leaves out the rear sight adjustments every single time
>owned this gun for more than a year and I don't know what the fuck I'm even doing with it
>>29222600
dude its 5.45, the slavic 5.56. Where it hits at 25 is about where it hits out to 200 meters or so.
how is this possible?
how is it not?
