got a new toy /K/ how'd I do?
>>29234058
Cool box
For that price, I'm surprised they even bothered printing anything on their boxes
lets see what we got
With no nukes, who'd win. Fighting begins in Syria and Ukraine

India and China on Red? you're insane
China would be it's own faction and India would sweep Pakistan and Bangladesh and then sit it out, probably even provide support for NATO
>>29233039
they innit too mang
What would you pay for this K?
Do you know who it is?
:^)
Here's a hint
I wouldn't pay for it. I have no use for it.

about tree fiddy.
Evening /k/,
I recently bought my first gun online, an SKS. It arrived and I'm not sure if it happened during shipping, at the FFL, or somehow while I was cleaning it and just didn't notice.
But is it normal for SKS rifles to have pic related as a natural defect? Or should I bitch someone out? What methods would you use to fix it? Or would it just be replaced?
It could have happened way back when, when it was issued. But as far as I can tell every other aspect of the gun has an unissued look to it. I was pretty damn sure I was buying unissued. With as much cosmoline I cleaned off it, you'd think so.
>he fell for the meme
The sight covers are commonly damaged from light impacts, it's not earth shattering but you can fix it with a sight tool, a hammer and some time.
>>29231820
I don't see what's wrong with wanting an affordable semi-auto rifle that fires a decent caliber with cheap and available ammunition? Really the only downside for me is this and the unpredictability of a free floating firing pin. Howver, that can be fixed.
which 1911 is better?
The bottom is a copy of the Mustang, very different than a 1911.

Shut up you bitch
But which is better?

>so... Let's say you know a guy
>he's a friend and owns his own Ariel surveillance business
>mostly civilian contracting for search and rescue
> but then he has a great idea
>he invents a way to retract the camera inside a civilian plane, concealing it entirely
>he pitches this idea to his local pd
>even with hiring new Pilots, three of these planes equaled the cost of operating their single helicopter
>not only a fraction of the cost, the extended loiter time and multiple aircraft could provide 24/7 coverage
>it wouldn't even need a FBI style she'll company since it would be registered as a civilian craft and hides it's camera
>and the only reason the pd turned him down was because of the Union which instead bought a new helicopter for its existing pilots
How does this make you feel /k/? Surveillance is related, how many of you don't have a sky lane over your favorite rural shooting spot? If one guy could think of this someone else has to have done it already. I feel this technology is much more dangerous and readily available than "muh predator drones", thoughts?
Don't need drones and aerial surveillance when they have full access to your smart phone and mobile devices.
Its 2016 my man, get with the times.
I fucked around with a chick named Ariel a few years back. She was great in bed, but her kids were a huge problem. I had to let that mess go. I have no intrest in Ariel surviellance.
Well...seeing as your "friend" has terrible grammar, I wouldn't be too concerned tbqh
Is it reasonable to expect that the B-21 will be able to use small diameter bombs for CAS?
>>29230853
Why even care?
>>29230862
Heated internet argument on another site. Somebody is claiming that the LRSB will use small diameter bombs for CAS.
>>29230853
Maybe, but it'd be more useful for hitting a crapton of targets over a long mission.
What the fuck are they doing lad?

If they were to ever get into a 1 on 1 knife fight with only their knife as a weapon they have already lost.
Can anyone name one situation where it would be ideal to use a knife on a knife attacker in a special forces scenario.
What are the legitimate criticisms of the T-72?
Why is it regularly regarded as the worst modern tank of all time?
I read about an engagement in the first gulf war where a platoon of USMC M60s engaged and destroyed over 50 T-72s of the Iraqi Republican Guard at the Kuwait National Airport. That is quite the lopsided battle!
What makes this tank so much worse than everything else?
Soviet allies tend to rely on centralized control of the military, promotion based on political reliability over merit, and suppression of criticism or bad news.
These factors militate against a successful military.
>>29230729
that's hard to judge since T-72's have never been fielded by a competent force.
Hell, the Saudi's have figured out how to lose a bunch of abrams to man portable ATGM's due to the "tactics" they use.
a tool is only worth as much as the hand that wields it, a 5 million dollar hammer is still going to be shit at painting houses
>>29230729
A tank is only as good as its crew, and the Iraqis took incompetence to the level of art.
Some were using training rounds instead of live ammunition.
If you have a CHL is that information displayed when a cop runs your DL?
>>29230373
Assuming it's the same state in which you got the CHL, then I think it does
Only in your home state.
And even then, it depends.
>>29230373
Depends on state. MN PTC? No.
Is shooting .22lr rifles fun?
>>29229148
Clearly not, because practically nobody owns one and all that .22 ammo is just sitting around in the stores not getting bought.
>>29229148
extremely
especially if you are doing more than just plinking with your 10/22
>>29229148
Yes.
so, these exist
http://www.nrafamily.org/articles/2015/9/29/a-helping-hand-for-the-disabled-hunter/
costs only about $10-20k, my dad really wants one since it snows a lot at his place in wisconsin and he's getting older
anyone have experience with them?
>for whatever reason, machine breaks
>disabled person is stuck in snowy environment with no means of transportation
>dies
>>29228877
>does anyone have experience with a 10-20 thousand dollar tracked wheelchair
>on 4chan
anyone who says they do is lying without proof
>>29228877
Couldn't this be easily replaced by an ATV & a snow machine?
I wouldn't want what is essentially a one-off wheelchair if I ever intended to use it, good luck getting spares. you can practically rebuild any cheap sled at tractor supply.
Alrighty folks, here it is. Myself and a friend of mine have decided that we are going to attend a sniper challenge course next year and I'm in the market for a rifle. I have decided on a Ruger Precision Rifle, but I can't decide between 6.5 CM and .308. I have made a pros and cons list in order to help make the decision. Please feel free to add pros, cons, give feedback, opinions, or just talk shit.
6.5 CM Pros:
-flat trajectory
-lighter weight
-resistant to weather factors
6.5 CM Cons:
-expensive magazines
-low barrel life
.308 Pros:
-ammunition is abundant
-magazines are cheap
-high barrel life
.308 Cons:
-susceptible to wind and weather
-faster drop
-heavy
Here is the link to the competition, though we will not be doing it this year:

>>29228345
>Max rifle range: 1500
Yeah, a 308 can't do that.
>>29228523
uhh, yes it can.
If youre planning to do serious long range shooting then its 6.5CM
If you dont want to spend too much money and also want to do allround shooting then its .308
Virtual BSOD for radar software could delay USAF's full deployment of fighter.
>In an episode of CBS' techno-procedural series CSI:Cyber that aired in January, pilots were forced to power off and power back on an airliner's flight computer to regain control from a hacker. As preposterous as that cold-boot of avionics sounds, it's something that test pilots have had to do with the F-35A "Lightning II" Joint Strike Fighter's radar system—not because of a hack but because of a software problem that causes the radar to degrade or stop working entirely.
>IHS Jane's reports that an issue arose in late 2015 with the F-35's AN/APG-81 active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar system, built by Northrop Grumman for the Lockheed Martin-led F-35 program. The software planned to be used in the F-35A when the Air Force declares its "initial operational capability" (IOC) with the fighter later this year—revision 3i—has a major flaw. As Air Force F-35 Integration Office Director Major General Jeffrey Harrigian told Jane's, that flaw affects "radar stability—the radar's ability to stay up and running. What would happen is they'd get a signal that says either a radar degrade or a radar fail—something that would force us to restart the radar."

Can anyone provide any insight on how I should go about planning an OCONUS leave trip that I plan to take after my Navy A school ends in mid-July?
I haven't seen my girl in 8 months and I don't wanna fuck up getting everything nice and approved in a timely fashion.
I understand I will need medical screening, approval, talk to several people, etc. but I'm really not sure who to talk to here at TSC great lakes to get the ball rolling.
please resopond
