I was in county lockup after getting drunk and shooting my .45 at a beware of dog sign. I spent a couple of weeks there since I didn't want to waste bail money. Anyhow, the other inmates I pal'ed around with knew I was former military. They pressed me for my exact MOS and duties. When they learned I served in the 3rd Ranger Battalion, they asked me if I could kick everybody's ass in the quad. I just laughed.
Some people have overly exaggerated ideas of our military. I can handle more than one but four knuckleheads bum rushing me, I doubt I would come out on top.
I can execute raids, ambushes and movement to contacts like no other. They are my meat and potatoes. But I can't do some Captain America shit. I'm a ranger, not a super human.

A new challenger has entered the ring
What was your first gun? Mine was a Marlin .22 from 1966, grandfather gave it to me when I was 8. Wish I still had it.
Post yours with pics.
I dont have pics, but it was a 1911 clone
>>29523143
Some model of Rossi pump .22LR about 20 years ago.
Never sold it but it's buried way the fuck back in the back of the safe and I don't feel like digging it out.
An antique .68 caliber flintlock horse pistol.
yeah i know, pics of a softair, but that was the first pic i found with both weapons in it, so...
jeah i am from a country where you are not allowed to have such weapons. and even if, gettig hands on a mp7 is not that easy.
so is there someone who probably shot with both ones? which one is better, also, wich round is btter in general?
the only advantage of the p90 are the amount of rounds it seems and the faster rounds. but in vids tested against crisat the 4,6 overperformanced the 5,7 by penetrating deeper and tumbling in the wound.
but regarding this topic i am just a keyboard warrior, so what about you guys? i think here are enough people who shot some of these guns.
Fired the mp7 briefly on the range with the GardaĆ when we shared ranges. Its comfortable in the shoulder, has very little kick with not much climb from automatic firing. Didn't get a chance to hip fire. I've never seen a real P90, but I'm guessing cops in Belgium use it.
>>29523065
nice :) i sav a vid from iraqveteran8888 (i think that some guys here will know him) and i was so suprisd how tiny and silent this gun is. while at the sime time it hs devastating fast body armor piercing rounds.
to me it seems as an awesome close combat weapon. and because it is h&k i would guess that it is really dead on target for an mp type of gun.
>>29523008
P90 outperformed the HK MP7 in almost every area during the US military PDW trials, and then H&K threw a bitchfit and had the whole program shut down
4.6 was worse in almost every way than 5.7x28
If you're shooting someone with body armor in a defensive situation, you've really fucked up somewhere along the way. neither round will penetrate plates.
Hi /k/
Real question, is it actually possible to aim for limbs (especially in a heated situation) or is that all just video game/Hollywood bullshit?
cops some times shoot people in the leg on purpose, instead of aiming at the torso
but forget about that shit if the target is sprinting or something
>>29522982
Depends, but generally no. You generally don't have the time to line up a shot like that. Sometimes you do, though, especially if you're a sniper or are catching an opponent off guard.
>>29522982
You always aim for center mass. No exceptions. If you fire your weapon, you shoot to kill.

.22lr is a training and small varmint round for young and new, so yes kill scalper.

Why isn't every soldier a special forces soldier?
If the seals have the best equipment and skills and tactics and training why doesn't the USA give those same tactics and skills and training and equipment to all other soldiers?
Why has no one ever come up with this idea
It's unnecessary
>>29522774
That's the mentality of the USMC.
"Every marine is a rifleman."
>>29522774
Expense.
Enjoy replacing losses.
Why do we need any plane other than F35? F35 can beat the Eurofighter and PAK FA right?
>>29522608
well for one, a F-35 isn't a very good cargo plane.
F35 can probably beat the Eurofighter for the amount of hours a week spent under maintenance.
>>29522608
Well, why would you retire something that's still overall (taking about Eurofighter) pretty decent? There's solid advantages to using things that are matured in their life cycle.
Just because it isn't the latest and greatest thing, doesn't mean it needs to be binned.
State instances where prostitutes have been used as weapons.

You're a pretty good representation of what this board has become- brainless
it was in the 80s, and it was a test, thats what a test is for, so you can learn from failures and mistakes. I'm sure today it works better.

Russia Mi-28 took out two ISIS truck at 5000 meters range
what do you think, note that this is the old version of the Mi-28
not the Mi-28N or Mi-28NE of the Iraqi airforce

Why doesnt he shred the ones running away?
Why did he miss the second one?
Why did the first one drive away a few yards?
>>29522374
>Why doesnt he shred the ones running away?
Because firing the gun at 5km away makes it that the bullet will arrive at the location several seconds after it is fired, the target will have moved by then.
>Why did he miss the second one?
Overcompensated
>Why did the first one drive away a few yards?
You are still actually alive for a few seconds after you die. It's like when you cut the head of a fish, it will still be doing breathing movements after getting beheaded.
>>29522348
that's a nice footage - now if only someone would make a webm out of it
what's your weapon against monsters?
i honestly can't watch this gif without wondering what i would do,
frankly they should have had radios, and the control room should have told them to hunker down, or do a fall back retreat.
or if they absolutely just didn't have the man power, they should have just ran as fast as they can,
but at least some grenades man.
what do you guys think?
I would just shoot myself in that situation.
>>29522163
i had a 12 gauge shell i designed on my old computer
it had
>silver buckshot
>rocksalt
>quartz
>white ash
its good for skinwalkers, werewolves, vampires and dispelling ghosts, apparently
>>29522196
also bless it with holy water
what do you guys think about pistol caliber carbines? i was thinking of buying the JR carbine but the whole no 10mm thing is a real turnoff
the Aero survival rifle looks promising but the one big minus is its not compatible with aftermarket AR triggers
why not just get a rifle
I think they deserve WAY more attention in the civilian market then they get. With a rifle-length barrel, you get some serious ballistic performance out of pistol calibers; they're much easier to suppress than rifles, as well as having less chance of collateral damage if used in urban areas.
Honestly I have no idea why they aren't more popular in the states, other than our retarded SBR laws.
>>29522108
i like caliber conversion and being able to load the same mags for pistol and carbine
idk i just like being able to change shit.
if im poor ill shoot 9mm
if i want to shoot small or mid game 10mm
home defence .45
only have spare .40 laying around ok cool
347 s&w
>wanting to shoot sort and weak ever
i love how modular the AR is but i hate being stuck with just 1 round and needing so much magazines for 2 weapons
And.......there goes hope of gun law change in Australia. Just like that, tossed away our chance.
GGWP
>guns laws actually improving in any developed country, other than America.
There never was hope, /k/omrade.
>>29521894
>>29521935
Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment. It will take actions to move those shit laws out.

I was pumped and ready and they fuck me like this.
Recently got a new knife (Kabar ZK} off my friend but its blunt as fuck. Any tips on sharpening knives /k/?
>>29521737
Google it?
>>29521737
Buy a new knife. Something not Kabar and not "zombie". I recommend a smith and wesson border guard.
In all seriousness there are multiple ways to sharpen your shitty zombie knife. Anything from sharpening sticks to stones.
