No offence to enlisted just wondering.

Everyone always has their own combinations of reasons. I always wanted to join the Navy because I love the ocean, my grandpa was in the Navy during WWII, I'll get to meet a lot of people and make lasting connections, and of course getting college paid for after is bretty nice.

Anyone here with flat feet? My ankle is pretty much on the ground and I wear custom inserts in my shoes. I already run 3-5miles 2-3x a week but without my inserts, it is a mini nightmare to do that kind of distance. If you have flat feet, what was your experience like at basic and in military life?
Can anyone who was out of shape before joining the air force share some insight, advice, or stories?
I know it sounds weird but I need some support. I am planning on enlisting but I am still not in my best shape.
>>29651034
I have flat feet. Done 8 years in the Army with no problems to include sitting in a cockpit with 50 pounds of gear on your chest for over 12 hours. Just make sure you but quality boots and take care of your feet.

>Cutting through all of the legislative legalese, Levine’s proposal would force ALL owners of ALL semi-automatic firearms that employ a “Bullet Button” or some other magazine-locking device to register them as “assault weapons.”
>The bill would also BAN the future sales of any center fire rifle with a detachable magazine employing a “Bullet Button,” cutting down the number of rifles Californians can buy significantly.
>If you own one of these firearms, your kids WON’T be able to inherit it, you CAN’T transfer it to anyone and you WILL BE in a special file at the Department of Justice.

How do you feel about heavier IFV like the T-15 variant of the Armata? Will these heavier IFV become more widespread with time? How different will be their role compared to older IFV and how their deployment will impact the tank and infantry formations?
>>29646624
The trend is that vehicles are getting bigger and bigger. I don't see any reason why that wouldn't also apply to IFV. Of course, there are disadvantages to being bigger, but generally, the side arguing for more armor and bigger guns wins.

>>29646664
Russia and China are on good terms with each other and they have been for a while. This idea that they don't like each other doesn't have any relevance today.

Does /k/ support any prerequisites to obtaining a firearm? Like background checks, mandatory safety training, mental health check etc?
Nope.
Nope.
If you're too dangerous to own a gun, you shouldn't be on the streets.
That said, I think gun shops would do well to at least offer safety training with purchases.
No.
I'm ultimately against any kind of intelligence test for firearm ownership but sometimes I hear shit in the local gun shop that makes me reconsider the issue.
