What is the most outrageoulsly overpriced shot you've ever seen? I was perusing the cases at a pawn shop near me, and I saw a P38 for THREE FUCKING THOUSAND DOLLARS. It was labeled "Nazi P38" even though it was obviously a P1 because of the darker finish and black plastic grips. Went back a few months later just because I was bored and had time to burn and the case it was in was empty, so presumably some dumbass actually bought it.
pic unrelated btw
During the sandy vagina panic my friend's dad bought a barebones CMMG 16" AR for $3k
He also bought an M70 underfolder AK for $900

>Went back a few months later just because I was bored and had time to burn and the case it was in was empty, so presumably some dumbass actually bought it.
it's a pawn shop special one they never expect you to pay whats on the tag if its over a couple hundred dollars. I once got a skillsaw for 10 bucks because i told the idjut at the register that the nut that holds the blade is impossible to find and a set of dies and taps for 5 because they had "rust"
I'm from Ohio and going to the Republican convention. I don't know what the heck might go down there so I want a mask to protect from tear gas. There are so many surplus masks and dubious filters on the internet it's hard to know what is good and what isn't.
Best value on a mask that protects against tear gas?

I was about to post it as well. Just make sure the goggles have no ventilation slits (chem/splash eye protection should not, but depending what you find and buy in a hardware store if you ever happent o be in a hurry it's something to be careful about.
If you're willing to invest into an actual purpose build gasmask, have a look at Mestel products.
>live in NJ
>can't have a fun black gun without pinning it to accept only certain magazines and non-adjustable stocks
I'm in Pennsylvania for a couple of weeks. I'm tempted to just buy an ar-15 here and keep it locked away when I'm back at home, then just take trips to ranges here in PA to use it.
How fucking stupid is this idea?
You could get fucked by law if your stupid. But living in nj means your stupid anyway. Move to a free state then buy a black gun
>>29724577
Don't they throw your ass in prison for possesion of hollow points in NJ? Do you want to risk the felony for a range toy? I could see buying one and stashing it for SHTF and not telling a soul.
I'm jersey too so I know your pain. Just see if they'll even let you buy it, I'm honestly curious if they will
Hey /k/, I just bought my first gun today. Pic (Maverick 88 Security) not mine but related. Let's have a thread about first guns.
>>29724498
hard to say, alot of my guns were handed down to me. so they were always in my possession in my moms closets so i could get one and go hunting anytime, so i will go with my favorite and say Remington 760 game master.
>>29724498
welcome to gun ownership, anon.
>>29724498
I was gifted a Beretta Bobcat for my first carry gun, but the first gun I bought for myself was a Maverick 88 as well
20" barrel, 7+1
why didn't the tiger I have sloped armor?

Because the germans over thought the inside without thinking about the practicalities. Imagine if the US had the localized land to manufacture tanks and the firearms that the germans had? Literally the reason why the m4 was so great was because how easy repairs where, how easy it was to escape from, and how reliable they were.
>>29724466
Because like Flat-Earthers, Teutonic physics cant into curves or circles
>>29724466
Because they needed a heavy tank fast and decided the best thing to do was make a really fat Panzer IV and throw a flak gun in the turret.
It worked pretty well, all told, but the Krauts didn't have the economic power to make as many as they needed.
So with Game of Thrones starting back up again, I couldn't help but have my wet dream again. The one where a few good Roman legions conquer Westeros.
This question has probably been asked before, but how would an early-mid empire Roman legion (with auxiliaries) fair against medieval men-at-arms and soldiers?
Let's assume that the Romans have access to the same steel that the medieval army has. In terms of equipment, how would the scutum, short sword, pilum, and lorica segmentata stack up against medieval gear like brigandines, halberds, spears, arming swords, kite shields, etc.?
And what about tactics? The Romans generally fought in tight formations by medieval standards, but were also flexible and could loosen up.
I figure there's no way Roman cavalry could match medieval knights (maybe some of their cataphract auxiliaries could?), and their archers probably had a shorter range. But what about Rome's heavy infantry legionaries vs non-men-at- arms? Do you think they could be effective or even superior if used properly?
Seems like an apples-to-oranges comparison desu senpai. Most of the Roman army's strength came through its organization capacity (the ability to put together a well-fortified camp, maintaining supply lines, etc). All of which would wreck most other armies of the period. At the same time, I think it would take them a couple battlefield losses before they were able to adapt to heavy cavalry
I imagine later crossbows would fuck shit up

>hurr what's testudo
Given that a squad of special forces operators is the equivalent of a infantry battalion on the field in their capability, would WWII have been made vastly easier if we had deployed nothing but special forces in lieu of regular infantry in Europe or the Pacific?
they should just remove infantry and replace them with special force, but the military is a social welfare program, so obama wouldn't pass it
Theres actually zero reason or purpose to have infantry at all
So I just bought this CZ P07 duty and was wondering what these cutouts on the slide were? I can't find anything about it on google. Also CZ thread.
>>29724261
Hahaa, you got jewed
Mine don't have those.
Watched this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSFnmM12LOQ and thought about if is a good idea to bring kids younger than 16 to hunting trips.

she's probably traumatized just from hearing the gunblast
>>29724187
that is good parenting. What a cute little girl.
That was pretty cute.
Would /k/ be okay if only persons who have done a year military service are allowed to have firearms? No one without a year of military service will be allowed to possess firearms.
>>29724001
No.
And I've met people who've done two tours and are still fucking retarded in terms of gun knowledge.
It's the same with Police, FBI, and other authorities.
I don't question them as people, I just have yet to meet one that actually gets shot right in terms of firearms.
Shall not be infringed.
>>29724001
Assuming this were to become law, what happens to people like me who are barred from enlistment due to medical issues? How do i still get my fair chance to own guns?
Went to my first WAC show edition.
Why are half the none vendors old fat dudes?
>>29723998
No-one cares about your democrap shit hole.

Looks great, doesn't it?
>tfw the real heist was Swedish devs selling a bunch of pay to win DLCs to COD kiddies
>>29723848
There was a time when you could get all payday 2 DLC via a hack.
>>29723831
I really wanted to like this game just for the gun customization
Then I was totally turned off by the fact that everything you want is hidden behind the utter bullshit random unlock system and retardedly expensive when it is unlocked. And that the gameplay to get there isn't even very good
what does /k/'s gun room look like. I always like seeing how different people have their stuff set up. here is mine.
bonus points for comfy
>ind4 ATF
>>29723767
Pretty nice gun room anon.
I'd put some security on those windows, or at least some dark curtains personally.
I like your set up though. I just got some ammo cans and guns stacked in the corner of my closet.

My friend is trying to sell me a M&P 15. It has a fancy Sight Works optic and a tricked out rail. It has been used at the range a few times but shows no signs of wear.
Is $800 a fair price?
>Is $800 a fair price?
Nope.
>>29723689
I didn't think so but I don't want to rude and jew-y
What would a reasonable offer be?
>>29723724
Anothing over $700 just seems like straight tripping madness to me no matter how nice the mods are.
A used rifle is a used rifle
>try to use gunbroker to find a gun I'm interested in buying for my first pistol
>end up having to look at some guy's homely daughter 5 minutes before she leaves for her bernie sanders rally
Why is buying and selling firearms always such a shitty experience?
>>29723559
She looks adorable.
Just my type.
Anyways, Gunbroker is mostly shitty because people are mostly shitty.
>>29723559
What the fuck are you talking about?
