7.62x54r is gonna be a PITA to reload, just because boxer primed ammo for them are more expensive and harder to find. Even the guy at my reloading shop said it's more cost effective to stick with steel cased Russian ammo.

I think I fucked up, /k/. I bought one of these old flareguns the other day from my local shop and I wanted to polish it up. So I have it submerged and soaking in half a gallon of pure vinegar... and it's smelling awful and it's leaving this slimy gold paste on my gloves when I swish it around.
Any tips on what I need to do here? Should I add some baking soda to fizz it up and deep clean it? Maybe some boiling water?

In the eyes of the law if he is running away it is not self defense anymore and you can be persecuted I believe. You have to think the main point of confronting a burglar with a gun is to scare him off. Your mindset shouldn't be "I'm going to kill this guy" it should be "if he tries to kill me I will kill this guy". In some states the laws could be different though.

Yes, as a law abiding citizen you should always report a crime to the police. Obviously if nothing happened at all you have no actual reason to, but if you fired your weapon you need to call them so they know it was done lawfully in case someone calls the cops about it. That way they know it was a lawful shooting rather than a negligent discharge or an attempted murder. If they were suspicious of you for one of these crimes then failing to call them to report the robbery and self defense shooting is instant heavy suspicion.

What's a good handgun for a woman?
When my sister first moved out I gave her my only gun at the time, A kimber .45 ACP. She shot it maybe 4x total at the range and says it hurts her wrist and "it's hard to shoot". Her birthday is next month and I think now it's time to buy her a handgun she feels comfortable with and can carry daily if I can get her to get a CPL. But I don't know what to buy. She's small and weak like most women, what do I buy?
Needs to be simple with no safety for her to leave on and something that can easily be concealed
