What does /k/ think of the BHP? There are a few on GunBroker going for mid 300s and I'm getting tired of my budget 1911 and stupid low capacity and stupid 45 meme round.
>>29733656
>.45 meme round
Try .45 super. It shits on 9mm all day.
But, yeah. BHPs are good. I've been eyeballing getting me an Isreali one for awhile now.
BHPs are pretty neat. I'll have one as a pistol just to have one of someday. Realistically though, I think it's pretty well best suited to being a collectible nowadays. Not to say it isn't capable, just a little dated.
Do it, my Israeli surplus BHP had a lot of finish wear but very little internal wear. After stripping it down, cleaning everything, and replacing the springs for $20 it was 100% reliable with everything I put through it.
I had mine Cerakoted and I CC it when the weather allows (pretty much 4-5 months out of the year). It's very comfy and 15 rounds of 9mm from an all steel gun makes it really easy to shoot fast as the weight really dampens 9mm's already low recoil.
What does the wilderness look like for you, /k/?

I own ten guns, but none of them are
>surplus
>polymer framed
>ARs under 20"
>revolvers
Also, four of them are AKs without wood furniture, and one is from Turkey.
>>29733398
as long as you like the guns you own, there's nothing wrong with what you have. If you want to diversify, do it. It's not really /k/onfession-worthy IMO
>four of them are AKs without wood furniture
are they all identical?
>one is from Turkey.
UTAS-15, by any chance? I want one so bad, even if it is a meme gat
my /k/onfession:
>I've never shot a shotgun in my entire life (I'm 18) despite getting to shoot tons of unicorns
>>29733398
I wipe my guns down with a light coat of oil every day and swab the barrels as well. I also clean them every single time I fire them. Not really /k/onfession worthy, but I'm sorta OCD
>i don't clean my guns unless I shoot corrosive ammo
>i have over 60 guns but only shoot once every 2-3 months, usually never shooting more than 200 rounds

Hi,
I'm from /k/.
Whatever weapon you use to shoot yourself in the face for asking such stupid shit is what I think we can all agree is best.

The one that accomplishes its intended purpose.
Ask vague questions, get vague answers, faggot.
There are only two countries in Asia Pacific with militaries approaching Western quality: Australia and the Philippines. No one else in the region has the same level of interoperability, equipment, training and experience.
Indonesia has Yakhont

Project Guns Thread
I'm gonna refinish a mosin stock. How do i retain the red shellacy look but also upgrade the finish to withstand weeklong waterlogged hunting trips. I need me a rifle that can do both, sit on a mantle and look pretty, and kill moose.
Other than that post guns you are working on.
planning on doing a 10/22 build, so far I have 2 things picked out;
>BX trigger group (seems the best but I'm open to suggestions)
>M1 Carbine stock since it's cool
still looking for a decent budget glass and maybe a barrel so I need help there.
first gun build so I wanna do it right.
Pick the finish at home depot, make sure it's not cheap, make sure it's weatherproof, like for fences or a garage door. It's super easy, I buy shit guns with shit stocks and refinish them and sell it for a pretty penny. No pics am on mobile. Sand it first tho. All the Nicks and dings in the stock.
>>29733019
I heard sanding is absolutely the last thing you want to do with any stock.
Also, what if I have a gun with cartouches I'd like to preserve? Not OP, just someone who's getting some milsurp soon and wants to look into restoring it a little.
let's talk gun safety in the military
can you name four (4) ways a soldier can prevent firearm related accidents on the job?
webm related
-Don't give the solider a firearm in the first place
-Remove the firing pin, hammer and recoil spring before you give them a firearm
-Only give them inert ammunition
-Add a helpful label on the muzzle stating 'this end towards enemy'
does this question show up on the ASVAB? I need to know if I should study for it
>>29732617
>can you name four (4) ways a soldier can prevent firearm related accidents on the job?
I only know one
>remember to have the safety on your M9 before engaging in a quickdraw duel with a buddy
Do you think we should have a /k/ game/movie/anything idea thread?
Why don't you just start a thread like that instead of skirting around it like. a fag?
Anyway. A movie about the vietnam war as seen through the eyes of a VC would be pretty interesting
>>29732496
/ak/ is busy with some /k/omic. That's all I know.
a cold war flight simulator would be neat.
dedicated to shit like the B52, XB70, etc.
bonus points if its like DCS and you actually get to blow shit up, preferably with nukes
What are some clothes you'd operate in? I heard Deluth trading co makes the God tier cargo pants, and people prefer them over shit like 5.11 Stryke pants.
Are knee pads good to have or just a meme?
>>29732369
They are really nice but if it gets over 85 where you live get ready for super sweaty balls. They breathe for shit in the summer.
>>29732369
>Are knee pads good to have or just a meme?
Good for combat, less useful in SHTF, unless your plan is to form a group and operate everyone else into submission with small unit tactics.
>>29732369
If you live where it's hot, prepare for ball soup.
Why has there been a general 30kt speed limit on the vast majority of warships created in the past century?
Why haven't we been able to bump that average speed up?
>>29732316
Hydrodynamics and hull speed. Hull speed is proportional to the square root of water line length. So longer goes faster, but not by much. Pushing a ship over hull speed takes a lot of power.

Would a tall, strong woman with actual training to match that of an equally wealthy knight/lord actually fair this well in combat? This woman literally one shots anyone who comes in contact with her.
Her armor/weapons are supplied by a very rich family and she's been fighting since she was a child but is it accurate?
No magical stuff, only discussion on actual swords/sword fighting, armor/combat un armored, and fighting from horseback.
GoT children should have their own containment board.
>>29732231
No, but it's fiction and strong women are my fetish
>>29732231
Has it ever been common? No? There is a reason you see it in movies and video games
Does anyone have any experience with the lee classic loaders? I am extremely interested in them because of the $30 price tag, that includes everything you need to start reloading. (Minus raw materials.) the only reason I have not ordered one of these kits yet, is because they do not recommend using this kit, if you intend to use the rounds in a semi auto weapon. I plan on reloading .223 for my ar. Does anyone know why they recommend that?
Bump for info
>>29732136
>>29732183
Loading on one of those hand presses is going to be extremely slow. I think you would be lucky to generate 20-30 rounds per hour.
The Lee Anniversary Kit should be the bare minimum for a new reloader.
>>29732279
I don't mind if it's so going. I'm just looking for info on why it isn't recommended for use with semi auto weapons
