How would war (on both a strategic and tactical level) change if we came out with bombs equaling or exceeding nuclear weapon yields without the radiation issues? Would MAD now be more of a high speed battle of attrition rather than an assumed death pact or would we simply blow each other up so much without worry that all the dust and fires would end up being nearly as bad in the short term vs isolated but highly toxic fallout plumes from major targets getting hit?
>>29748653
The radiation is only a minor part of MAD. There would be little to no change in strategic doctrine, although you might see use of .5-1kt weapons tactically with less international blowback.

>you will never see a continetnal canal built by a continual chain explosion of small non-nukes
ohh nuclear war okay first thing first read the Kearny report it was written way back during the cold war even during the hight of the war fallout risk was minimal as fallout is generated by ineficent use of fission material and ground level detonation which is something modern hydrogen bombs avoid. Now some one might say but anon thousands of bombs make lots of fallout to that I say nonsense we detonated 1000s of nuclear weapons in testing over the decades and have had 2 major nuclear reactor failures yet the world is not a radioactive waste land nuclear war is survivable and winnable

I'm pretty sure there has to be some paintball place that has some plywood shaks to simulate somewhere STALKERy
Would be fun if they had buckets of CS gas to simulate a radioactive leak or something.

Um... Good bait, I guess?
>>29748554
You should probably check your local mall
What do I have to do to get one of these?
I want a 223 rifle that isnt a DI ar15. (already have one)
Any other suggestions? (FNC is name banned in my shit state)
>>29748547
No idea.
What about a bullpup? AUGs are pretty neat.
Or a 5.56 Galil would be my two suggestions.
Aug, Scar, Hebrew Hammer, Galil, 5.56 AK, SL8, etc.
You have plenty if good options
>>29748547
>What do I have to do to get one of these?
Go to Japan and steal one from the JSDF.
So /k, I got my tax return and want to get a gun with it. I'm massive poorfag, so this is going to be my second gun, and first handgun.
I've shot handguns plenty before, so experience isn't an issue. The issue is cost.
I have ~$350 to drop, and I'd prefer to get a pistol and have a little left over to cover shipping and FFL within that limit. I reside in Commiefornia, so limitations of law are a consideration I have to take.
My choice so far has been the P64 Makarov. I like the look, and the gun has decent reviews. Any other suggestions/ comments on the quality of the gun, or concerns?
Pic is googled, but its the same model.
>Makarov
Heard the P64 is cheap. It's not a "real" Makarov either.
Buy a Bulgarian Makarov for $300. That's what I got and I love it. Ammo isn't too bad either - 15$ for 50 Tulammo.
But don't buy a FEG or P64.
>>29748462
Follow this anons advice. Bunch of places are running killer deals on maks with 2 mags and often 2 grips and holster for 300
So I'm in the market for a big bore AR and I was wondering if people could give me their experiences with them. I'm leaning towards the .458 SOCOM and I'd like to suppress it. I wanted to use it for targets and hunting hogs.
>>29748334
.458 socom ammo costs like twice as much as .50 beo. Plus you can get the ball tickling satisfaction of having a half inch projectile. .458 is just spending a shit load to come really close to owning the biggest caliber ar you can but not quite making it imo
Those rounds look so funny with their little rims. Like an elephant standing on a stool
>>29748644
If I got either, would it be ridiculous for home defense? How would it perform out of a 10 inch barrel?

I wish I could experience the feel of fighting in a righteous war of national liberation against a brutal and absolutely evil outside invader.

Are Taurus just middle of the road type of guns? Never fired one, though some their revolvers look pretty spiffy.
>>29748202
Taurus are below middle of the road, they are some of the worst you can buy.
>those casings
Gore is not allowed on blue boards, OP
>>29748202
is not bad, comrade. has strong firing pin
99% of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Only bad thing i can really find is Bushnell changed the emitter from the 4 o'clock position to the 6 o'clock position and it caused problem with co-witnessing. Since then they listened to customers and went back to 4 o'clock.
Other than that fuck up the only reviews are from people with obvious astigmatism complaining about the dot looking shitty.
Looking for /k/ommandos with actual experience with the TRS-25 not fat couch commandos with aimpoints and more money than rolls of fat.
If you're gonna poorfag on the optic, at the very least get yourself a basic PA...
I have this optic and it's been good to me.
>>29748135
Red dots in general are stupid easy.
If on an AR tune the brightness to where its kjjst barely visible and zero it to 25M one cm below center mass on a respective 300m silhouette target. Now you're zeroed all the way to 500m.
Keep both eyes open, focus on your target, wait for the dot to cover it, and squeeze the trigger. Tada.
Nothing to be redpilled on, its a fuckimg optic and pretty damn simple.

LIBERTARIAN COMBO BREAKER
Anyone have any experience with or recommendations for, a loudener? Might pick one up, but not sure if 1300$ is too much for a used victrola.
Also how do I fill out a transfer request?
Why would they make this? I mean I fucking love it, but for what purpose?

Well, the day finally came. I completed my Samurai Edge project. In honor of this glorious day, post your custom guns (or custom guns in general).
I'll post what few pictures I have of this one. Hopefully conditions are a bit better tomorrow and I can get some better shots.

Where did you get the slide work done?
1800s double action revolvers I wanna see em.
Don't care how effective they are.
They're all beautiful.
Double points for folding triggers and bobbed hammers.

Here is my 1882 Swiss Ordnance Revolver. Gate loading with an Abadie system.
>>29749572
Should I get one? I've been wanting an 1800s service revolver that's not a single action army.
Recommend me a .45 cal suppressor, /k/
My main host will by my 1911, with secondary use on a VZ-61 SBR
I've been considering the AAC TI-RANT .45 because it is hearing safe when dry. The Osprey is as well but I personally find it ugly. I only really want to buy one can for pistols, so .45 seems the way to go.
The TI-RANT would run me $804 all said and done; way better than a few years ago when I was looking and the can alone was $800.
The other options (in stock) that I am looking at are the Silencerco Octane 45HD and the YHM SIDEWINDER. I haven't been able to find a whole lot of comparisons between them so I suppose my question is which suppressor would you guys recommend?
>>29747614
I have a ti-rant .45 I really like everything about it other than the finish on the outside. it scratches a little too easy for my liking. but I got mine almost 6 years ago now so they might of changed the outer finish. AMA I also have a vid of the sound comparison
>>29747781
I suppose that means they hold up pretty nicely? It's not the longest can out there, but does the 7.5" ever feel like a whole lot?
Have you ever put it on a 9mm gun?
>>29747798
> they hold up pretty nicely
it probably has about 15-20k rounds through it cans don't really wear out unless you have a baffle strike.
>does the 7.5" ever feel like a whole lot?
it is a noticeable weight on the end of the gun. with an empty mag it will drag the front of the gun down. with a loaded mag it balances rather well
>Have you ever put it on a 9mm gun?
yeah here it is on my sig
What's it like to fight american soldiers?
its easy if you use ied's along roads, otherwise the poles could probably equal them

Lots of gunfire and then getting blown up by CAS/artillery.
