Alright /K/ommandos i need some legal help, advise. So went to purchase my first handgun, i live in TN so the gun laws are pretty lax. Anyway when they ran my background check my name redflagged. Well let me tell you a little about my past, ive been to jail about a dozen times never for serious crimes mostly bar room brawls and 2 or 3 times for driving on revoked liceancse. I have no felonies or domestic's. The last time i went to jail was for driving on revoked and that was over 5 years ago. The only thing i can think of is an order of protection my ex signed on me but that was well over 13 years ago . How long are they do they last? Am i gonna have to have her remove it.
Pic related, gun i tried to purchase

>how long do they last
lol
>>30327612
Yeah i dont get why thats funny, anyway please help
>>30327535
Do you have a restraining order, DUI, or any convictions for those bar brawls?
You seriously need to just talk to a lawyer because it looks like you have a mess of shit that could potentially keep you from buying a firearm.
aestheticly pleasing photos

Come on faggots, get on this shit.

Jesus Christ. I hate when fellow curryniggers do this shit. Uncle Tajing it up for those cocksuckers, how appropriate.
The I-594 slippery-slope just got a little more
slippery.
>"to temporarily prevent individuals who are at high risk of harming themselves or others from accessing firearms by allowing family, household members, and police to obtain a court order when there is demonstrated evidence that the person poses a significant danger, including danger as a result of a dangerous mental health crisis or violent behavior."
Well as expected here we go with our 1st initiative for this November
http://sos.wa.gov/_assets/elections/initiatives/FinalText_1016.pdf
Well, it's better than California's version at least, in that it requires you to present evidence that someone is a threat.
>>30327124
Naw son. Not in my state. Not if I can help it.
>>30327224
> what every washington said before I-594 trying to fight I-594
Ok /k/, it's CC time!
What kind of clothes do you wear when you are CCing? Do you have a double stack or single stack pistol? Do you use different guns for different seasons/outfits?
Please teach me your ways.
It depends. Are you a big guy?
>>30327143
for you
>>30327143
memes aside, I'm skinny little fuck that weighs in at 160 at six feet zero inches.
Alright /k/, i have decided to buy at least 3 guns, keep in mind that where i live imports are tight and there isn't that much variation on guns.
I want to purchase a 22.lr, a 38 revolver and a 9mm or 380 depending on what is more easy to CC.
What does /k/ think of the calibers that i want to purchase?
What good guns are on those calibers.
I will be a first time gun owner.
>>30327032
Any advise is apreciated.
>>30327032
M&P shield is a good choice for a 9mm CCW. I own one, and love it. It's also fun to plink with.
>>30327085
this or glawk brand glawk
Never been turkey hunting before, but why does turkey hunting demand such insanely powerful ammunition?
I can shoot any .30 06 rifle all day but a box of these left me traumatized.
>>30326984
turkeys are plump, and you need some range on those fuckers sometimes.
>>30326984
Turkeys are hardcore. I've had them tank those rounds and keep going. One time I hit one and didn't penetrate the chest through the wing, and being young and dumb I charged into the brush after it and tackled the fucker since it couldn't fly away (and ammo was expensive as a young teen).
>>30327039
Then why don't rifles make more sense? Is the bird=shotgun logic too strong?
Could a Soldier who was taught advanced hand-to-hand fighting styles be charged with manslaughter or the like if he kills a regular joe?
pretty he'll be charged for killing a man regardless of training
>>30326915
Like in the movie? Sure, he was defending himself and his girl and the dumb cunt fell wrong
there was a case in canada where some karate superblackbelt expert seriously injured an assailant during self defence, and the assailant tried to turn the case around saying that he (the assailant) was a victim of assault w/ deadly weapon because he (the karate expert/real victim) did not warn the assailant that he knew martial arts before defending himself
im pretty sure the assailant was convicted, but there is precedent about neutralizing the threat. it just depends on your jurisdictions laws; some places authorize the use of deadly force, others only allow the victim to use as much force as necessary to defend themselves. which would mean, in the case of the latter, you have to retreat as soon as you are able. e.g. if you are getting mugged and you use a knife to defend yourself and you cut the guy and he backs off, you now have to run away and call the police. if you continue to advance and stab this guy once he's no longer a threat, then you are now assaulting him (in some jurisdictions)
Could a weapon still work properly and for long periods if there was a certain amount of oxygen in the air?
Say there was double the amount of oxygen in the air than what there was theorized back in the age of the dinosaurs.
I assume it would be similar to pic related where the explosive force behind the gun was too powerful.
>>30326892
Now, im no expert. But its my knowledge that firearms contain their own propellant in the cartridge themselves. so technically if you could keep one sealed. itd work in space. after you figured out how to keep a barrel from exploding in vacuum because of the lack of external pressure.
>>30326892
I don't believe this would be an issue, unless you were using a blackpowder firearm.
You might have increased rust issues.
>>30326892
Muzzle flashes would be bigger and carbon fouling might decrease since more powder would combust completely. Not sure if metals in the gun would see adverse effects from potentially getting briefly super-heated in a pure oxygen environment (metals will burn if its hot or oxygenated enough).
why is the right "ear" in the smle offset? I assumed it was for wind age adjustment, but why only on one side?
>>30326630
The Mk III had windage adjustment there, the protective ears remained the same.
>>30326630
>>30326755
The protector is for protecting the rear sight.
The reason the left is not bent like the right is so it won't interfere with the volley sights on the MkIII.
>>30326755
This. The knob was removed on teh simplified "III*" wartime model.
How do I go about ordering a pallet (or more) of ammunition with a group of friends? What are the rules for this shit and where do I buy it? Do we need to form some sort of trust or legal entity? How many ATF/DHS agents are going to show up to shoot my dog? I live in Pennsylvania, if that matters.
Also, bulk purchase thread. How big do you buy? Most I've ever got at once was two cans of 7.62 Nagant and two Nagant revolvers. I don't usually buy more than 1000 or 2000 rounds of anything at a time, but I've had a lot more range time lately than I used to get.
7N6 crates, I bought a can last time, just got a crate, looking at another pair of crates packaged with an AK next
>>30326551
>pair of crates packaged with an AK
Is that a deal someone has going on right now?
Call up sgammo maybe they'll cut you a deal?
Compared to the BDU does the ABU work better in hot weather or worse? Does it still melt when it is too hot outside?
>Does it still melt when it is too hot outside?
that literally has never happened. Are you retarded?
>>30326468
I heard that it had performance issues in the middle east and would partially melt but that clarifies that question.
>>30326445
ABU uniforms were almost all made in winter weight for some retarded reason. Deployed airmen more often wore DCU, UCP, or multicam depending on the time period.
>>30326510
As for BDU melting in hot weather, I have literally never heard of this. People still wear parts of summer weight BDU in deployment.
I'm curious.
>>30326431

> First Prototype Of Combat Exoskeleton That Stops Bullets With Liquid Armor Will Be Ready In 2018
> The special unit of the United States Armed Forces, Special Operations Command (SOCOM), is busy overseeing a new warfare technology that will be capable of performing functions similar to the armor of Iron Man.
> Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), United States, are building a combat exoskeleton (armor) called Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit (TALOS) for SOCOM. It is said the TALOS project started way back in 2013. SOCOM claims that the Navy SEALs and Special Forces would use the suit for special operations. It has been revealed that the first prototype of TALOS will be ready by 2018.
Would they waste such tech on a replaceable grunt?
>>30326427
>that will be capable of performing functions similar to the armor of Iron Man
Why they lie like this? Why can't they lower their expectations down to something like Exo-Man?
>>30326427
Eventually? Yes.
More likely, we'd see them as either urban assault units or heavy weapons carriers. I mean, you could plausibly carry an 81mm mortar singlehandedly with powered armor.
>>30326492
Different Iron Man I suppose
What's the smallest .357 SIX shooter on the market today?
>Pic very much unrelated
Bump. Anyone?
>>30326350
>.327 Fed
>>30327653
I want to be able to fire .38 special too, that's why I asked specifically for a (small) .357 magnum capable six shooter.
