I free floated my barrel by bedding the action and full length of barrel in RTV and then i cut out the RTV up to the point where the balance of the barrel+action was equal. Then i samded the barel so there was no connection.

Took it out yesterday for my GF's first time shooting and it shot pretty well. We werent doing any serious shooting and the scope on in is pretty far from zeroed and it is a faitly shit scope but we were just iut there tobhave fun, not hit a can at 100 yards. In a week or two I'm going on my owm to zero it and run accuracy testing with several different ammos. Guessing itll hit abiut 1moa which is all i really need a 10/22 to fo at this time.

It's good at what it does and would be great for competition or someone who has a decent bit of cash for optics and doesn't want to do a regular 1-4x or a low power scope with piggyback red dot or aimpoint + magnifier.
I don't compete and would not benefit from it, and I wouldn't consider it for military uses.

Owned one for past 10 years 26" I shot trap and skeet with. Other than a bore snake I haven't cleaned it once. Shot a consistent 100-200 round a weekend for 2 years during college while shooting trap and skeet. Never had malfunction until about 3 months ago shooting sporting clays, it started ejecting the next shell in the tube instead of loading it and a quick spray of rem oil didn't fix it so it's been laying on my floor to be disassembled and cleaned.

I highly reccomend it. If I bought again I'd get the pistol grip since it'll be nicer for shooting buck and slugs in shotgun action matches.
