It was the original revolver capacity going back to the 1850s, and was basically the 1850s version of a Tec-9 or Uzi given that all non-revolver pistols were still lolsingleshot. It's a design that has worked well from black powder through modern cartridges. There are ten shot .22lr target revolvers, but most people buying revolvers are getting them in .38 special / .357 magnum or larger so six shots is still a simple, durable design with plenty of punch.

They tend to be a bit unreliable, not terribly accurate, and mags cost more than they should, but if you're in a state that cucked the AR and you really want semi auto .223 it's probably your best bet.

If you're going to spend four figures on a black Garand-family rifle with removable magazines, get an M1A Scout Squad.

Well, there are lots of different types of muzzle loaders, anon.
First, are you looking for a shotgun, a rifle, or a pistol.
Second, do you want a traditional style or a modern style.
Third, what's you optimum price range. (good traditional muzzle loaders go pretty high up).
