Okay /K/, I'm having some issues with this Carcano I picked up. As you can see here, you cant chamber another round without the bolt stopping about a quarter of an inch away without a firm push. If you pull the bolt back from this, it double feeds, something that I thought was impossible for a manual action rifle. Does anyone know why or how this happens, or how to fix it?

Despite how much people dislike them, PGO shotguns (particularly with the retro Choate grips or birdsheads) will always have a place in my heart, especially when you are carrying one around in the woods for a long distance.

Would like to know if I'm being stupid or if there's something wrong here. I've removed the bolt from the carrier in my RAS47 quite a few times without issue, though the last few recent tries I can't get the damn thing out

The bolt is pulled back to get the notch out of the carrier, and spun clockwise, one spun to a certain point it should just slide out the front right? I remove the notch from the carrier by pulling it back and spin it clockwise, even slowly, I can't find any spot where the carrier will let it out, and I don't see anything at all that's obstructing it perhaps besides something inside cylinder hole inside the carrier than I can't see

Thanks for any help

your poorly heat-treated bolt has been gettin its ass smashed by those too-hard CRAPCO G2 hammer and become peened. Best to just sell that steaming pile of shit while its still in one piece.

Or ur just fuckin retarded. Its hard to tell with you kids now days.

It fires fine though just cant get the pieces apart for easier cleaning. If it is shitty hardware, would it eventually go to complete shit due to this?

Thinking about taking a road trip across the US. Want to bring a handgun or something for self defense against skinwalkers and shit.

Are there any laws that would prohibit me from bringing a gun across state boarders? I don't plan on open carrying it and in case of the worst possible outcome along this trip.

This is also hopefully be my first gun purchase and any recommendations would be amazing.

Several states prohibit having a loaded gun in your car without a concealed carry license.
>>
I heard truckers carry black powered revolvers
>>
I think there's a national law that allows you to say 'fuck it' to state and local laws regarding firearms when you're just traveling through that state and not staying for extended periods of time. This is 4chan, so you might want to double check on that before you put your nuts on the line.

Why is it so hard to find a Ruger Precision Rifle? Any alternatives?
>in b4 just build a custom
26 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
it's popular and it's not that expensive
your alternatives are things like savages and howas and rem 700s
>>
>>30386366
The 700s are cool but normally need some upgrades to bring it to the point where it's amazing. The savage I have seen isn't that impressive not sure on the howa rifles though the Ruger precision is just so modular and easily upgraded

The RPR is nice, Savages are good if you set them up, same goes with Remy, tho remy's cost a bit more imo.
> just build a rifle.
You can get a factory savage fpc k for like 550, and a 180-Alpha Chassis for 800,
or Tac21 for 700 - butt stock.

It's close to the RPR is cost, but eh. Either way the gun will out shoot you unless you're experienced already.

Lets play a game.
I have a gun that uses relatively uncommon ammunition.
can you guess what it is view these pictures.

The ammunition used for comparison is(from left to right)
>7.62x54r
>.308 Win
>mystery round
>.45 ACP

Also have the mystery round highlighted to avoid confusion

P.S. i will give hints along the way.

Alright, what the fuck is this thing for? I've been looking for sword glossaries but all they've been is generic definitions for shit. Some signs point to basket hilt but what the fuck. I can't imagine what use specifically a hoop on the side of a hilt can have.

China is a paper tiger. Literally the only thing they have going for them is their population base and their cyber-warfare units.

Well, at the "we've still got guns and elections" stage, it's possibly viable to state what your line in the sand is.
>>
>>30385646
Precisely.

It's political theater. If the government actually went totalitarian, any connection with these people would neutralize your ability to resist effectively.

This is intended as a means to score political brownie points, within the framework of a democracy.

Also, I'd presume the ATF has it loaded with informants just in case.

Hey yall,

I'm thinking about getting myself into waterfowl hunting, I live in Maine and we have allot of great spots for sea duck hunting. However I'm not 100% sure about the gun I want. Should I just stick with a 870, or is that a bad choice. Tell me why or why not.
15 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
The only thing I've not liked about the 870 is that it seems that the action can get a little mucky pretty quickly. I recently bought a supernova and the action locks a little tighter and keeps stuff out.

Not sure how the environment is in Maine but over here it gets petty muddy and rainy
>>
>>30385364
It definitely can be muddy, but most of the Waterfowl season is in the fall and cold weather and mud just don't happen
>>
>>30385386
Are you interested in bigger birds as well? I find that being able to use 3 1/2 inch shells can make a difference for turkey/geese hunting, my 870 won't take 3 1/2inch shells

Hey /k/, going to a gun show next month for the first time. Any advice or useful knowledge for a first time buyer? I'm looking for a wonder 9 while I'm there, what are some decent price ranges?

Don't impulse buy. They may be better deals out online or at your lgs.

Make sure to ask permission before picking up a weapon. Some vendors are anal retentive about that shit. And for the love of God don't muzzlesweep everyone around you.

Shop around and try to bargain if you can. Otherwise take your business elsewhere.

Ask to see the bore. All good vendors have a bore light.

Gun shows (at least the ones I've been to) tend to be expensive. However if you want to get a feel for a particular gun there's no place better.
>>
I never been to a gunshow but Im pretty sure its like a comic book or anime convention

A bunch of shit you can get way cheaper online or elsewhere
