What, in your opinion, is the best general purpose rifle round? I think the 45-70 is a strong contender.

We always talk about how Operator some of our nations respective Operators are but how about we change that and talk about what we think are some of the shittiest operators. Now I don't mean the least operator of all the operators. I'm talking of the operators who are meant for certain task and fuck it up the most or not the best or even operator at it. Can also use this as a thread to post people who think they are Operator but actually are a joke.

The handguards on the A1s were shit, they cracked and the little fins broke off in the field all the time. The A2 sights are more adjustable and better protected.

The A2 is more certainly "better" but the A1 is a more comfortable rifle with the A1 Pistol Grip and shorter stock, and it looks more prolific.
>>
That A1 on the bottom has an A2 lower...
>>
>>30425086
I used the A1 in the Infantry. The A2 is all around better. Zero contest. Fuck aesthetics.

Alright /k/, I am by no means a gun expert, so bear with me, but I've been thinking about this idea I had for a new assault rifle design. The crux of the firing cycle is as follows:

>first, a magazine is inserted into the gun
>the user charges the gun by rotating the rotating chamber counter-clockwise (relative to the left side of the gun)
>the rotating chamber will cock the bolt via a rack-and-pinion gear
>the rotating chamber will also pull up on the chamber loader via a spring
>the chamber loader will push a caseless ammunition cartridge into the chamber, which is now positioned such that the cartridge can slide into the now-vertical chamber
>the user releases the rotating chamber, causing it to spring back into the firing position, with the cartridge positioned horizontally
>the user now pulls the trigger, releasing the bolt
>the bolt ignites the caseless ammunition, firing the bullet
>the expanding gas proceeds down the barrel, and into the gas chamber
>the expanding gas presses against the piston inside of the gas chamber, rotating the rotating chamber as well as cocking the bold via the same rack-and-pinion gear
>the cycle continues automatically so long as the trigger remains depressed

So, it's probably a crazy idea, but I wanted to see If its feasible or even practical at all. I want to hear your criticisms and/or insights.

The AGM-45 Shrike was an anti radiation missile developed in the early 1960s. It was based on a modified AIM-7 Sparrow body. It's purpose was to be fired towards and home in on the radiation from enemy SAM radars.

The bird sharing the same name, the Shrike, is a small bird which is known to kill it's prey (insects, usually) by snatching them and diving to impale them into thistles, thorns, or barbed wire fences, coming back later to eat.

Marines of /k/,

I'm planning on joining the Corps as an MP and then becoming a cop instead of going to college and doing the same thing. This isn't really a deal breaker for joining the Corps but one thing I'm wondering is how do you go about getting with women while living on a predominantly male barracks and moving around all the time? I feel like if I go to college getting women would be much easier.

Next time we'll definitely need more tables, and a closer spot to shoot, the Hotel didn't give anybody supercancer (yet) and didn't collapse on us, which I'm definitely thankful for. I didn't expect to be taking about 3/4 of you down on Sunday morning, and turns we left the guys behind to deal with the range trash I had no idea still existed, so that could have gone better. Other than that and some other minor issues I think that was a pretty fuckin' fun weekend t.b.h

Just picked up this SW3 at a gun show for $875 with 12 mags, 6 never used. The guy said he never shot it much and it appeared very clean on the inside when I took it apart. Did I do good?

What is the best way to deal with these things?

After seeing so many police departments buying this shit, I am getting more and more convinced the government is actually preparing for some kind of power play. I've also seen unconfirmed reports (pic related) of "UN" marked vehicles in the US.

I have no intention of being a pawn to a globalist government. In the tragic event that the United States (or what used to be called the USA but is now more appropriately called the Whore of Babylon) erupts in all-out civil war, how can ordinary civilians defend themselves against armored vehicles?
