When did Generals stop mattering when it came to actually running the Army?
Now they seem to either be pure PR people or signature machines for other people's ideas.
What happened to Generals who led in the tradition of Hannibal, Richard the Lionheart, and Napoleon?

What does /k/ think of the new Jericho pistols? Are they space cowboy worthy?
>>30433056
It's a CZ75 made by Joos
I like the way they look.
Their "Desert Eagle" bullshit marketing makes me not want to buy it.
I'd only want one with the normal Jericho markings
Here, have some girls with guns.

Rock river entry tactical
How do the Japanese stand as a military force during WWII compared to the other nations? How effective were they?
Beyond sea and air during the early years their equipment and many tactics were either outdated or obsolete.
Their basic ammunition standardization (none) was a prime example of just utterly incompetent their high command were in terms of logistics and longterm warfare.

Most of these "contests" are fabrications of the Chinese following the war (and in some cases during the war in an attempt to induce American intervention)
I'll put it like this.
As far as their ground forces were concerned. They had the best WW1 Army, in WW2.
If they hadn't invested so much into carriers and airplanes before the war. It would also apply to their navy.
Logistically, they were complete shit. Never established convoys to get supplies through. They just sent what ever ship they had, on its own, hoping it got to its destination. Which is why US submarines were so effective in destroying their supply lines. They resorted to using submarines as tankers and cargo ships at the end of the war. It was the only way to get anything back to Japan.
Which is another one of their problems. They misused submarines. They left them as scouts for fleets. Instead of letting them run loose to sink enemy logistics shipping.
They didn't rotate experienced pilots back to Japan to train up new pilots. So every time a pilot was shot down. His experience was lost and he was replaced by a completely green pilot.
They only did well because they faced a China in the midst of a decades long civil war and undermanned and under equipped western colonial forces. They fought the Soviets once before the war proper and got BTFO. Which is why Japan never attacked the Soviets during the war.
They had two nuclear weapons programs. One run by the navy near Tokyo. They knew how to enrich uranium and build a bomb. Yet they had no uranium ore or heavy water. The Army ran their program in korea. Where they had access to uranium ore. We don't really know how far the Army program got. Since the Soviets looted everything in Korea and sent it back to Russia. Though there is a story about a Japanese officer in korea. He tells a reporter in an American Army unit that he witnessed a huge fireball and mushroom cloud off the coast of korea just before the war ended. Though I doubt the Japanese army would have wasted material on a test fire like that. If they thought they had a working bomb. They would have used it against the Soviets.

Open carrying hand guns of choice.
You never know what can happen at Applebees
I have a problem /k/,
I come from South Dakota and am 100% from the Lakota tribe. My ancestors run back many generations, my family even has pre-Anglo relics.
My family and my people love guns, I've been shooting since I was 5 and we have a giant vault room with over 100 rifles, handguns, and shotguns, even 19th century lever action rifles.
But things changed when I moved to Texas when I got accepted to UT Dallas for post grad. I brought some guns from home, and would go to the range and never liked my experiences there. I always got stares from all the white people, some asked if I was middle eastern, some asked if I was from ISIS, and a lot gave me the cold shoulder. Thought it could have been this one range but every gun shop or range I went to I felt like I was either looked down upon or judged based on the color of my skin.
I like the second things they do, we probably had similar experiences with firearms like hunting and shit, but they treated me like shit cause I'm not white.
People always told me that gun culture was a white club, but I didn't believe it. What the fuck /k/? My people have been killed off, we have had our rigets then away, we have been disarmed, our past is what white people are afraid of now.
Why all the hate /k/?

Just wear a head dress and carry a tomahawk to avoid confusion.

Its sad, but on the other hand, you couldn't have know you were moving to such a shit part of the state. Dallas is the most right-wing part of Texas, and they take their conservatism to extremes. See if you can get into a school in Austin or Houston or San Antonio, where people don't have their heads stuck up their asses.
Is sending soldiers "care packages" filled with gay porn and dildos treason?

you are stuck in a mass shooting situation of your choice, be it a mall, office building, school, whatever
the catch is you only have your most impractical weapon that you own to defend yourself

Do Glocks have any negatives, if you get a drop-in trigger kit and some metal sights?

You'll be made fun of for owning a glawknade. Other than that they're fine.

Guaranteed replies: the thread.
They're great pistols. Reliable and affordable. Don't like em? Don't buy one.
>>30430880
>made of plastic
>gross striker trigger (kind of redundant)
>subpar but not offensive ergonomics
>generally overpriced for what it is if new
Other then that, fine guns. nothing really wrong with them. aftermarket is hella abundant and mags are cheap (and made of plastic, gross!) They're just a lot less unique these days. In a sea of striker fired polymer frames, they fail to stand out with anything other then their brand.
Favorite aircraft of WWII.
It's the F4U Corsair for me.
I like the F4U, the P-38, the B-17, and the Catalina.

Good taste
Anyone in GA know a good spot in the national forest to shoot at that's secluded. I want to host a meet up there since the north GA boys never get one close. Could do a range but just going deep innawoods sounds more fun.

Private land is what you're looking for.
>>30430612
My grand father has some private land, but he wasn't keen about the idea of 10+ autists with guns from the internet showing up and shooting shit
I don't believe you can just jump out of your shitbox in a WMA and go off shooting in the woods.
There is a range though.
