Hi /k/, just got this baby in mint condition in exchange for basically nothing.
In honor of that, lets start a ww2 and earlier acquisition thread. If you got 'em, post them.
RIP OP's dog
>>30558099
I gave a replica cavalry saber for it. The owner needed it for decoration in his bar.
My dog is in good health, don't you worry.
>>30558097
So what do deactivated MP38/40s cost in your country, OP?
Thoughts? Opinions? Do you think their survey group was representative of people you interact with?
>>30558084
So far, anyone I know who thinks AR-15s or other high-capacity semi-auto rifles should be outlawed I've been able to convince otherwise. Anyone with half a brain thinks twice about the issue at hand when shown statistics indicating that the overwhelming majority of gun crime is committed with handguns and that mass shootings committed with rifles, though scary, are statistically irrelevant.
Informed persons are an anti-gunner's worst nightmare.
>the current year
>interacting with people
> Pump shotgun considered less dangerous than a bolt action hunting rifle
I already know this is a stir-shit-up article, but this doesn't make sense, even considering. I would assume even the most sheltered of urban women would associate a bolt action rifle with hunting, and be aware of the shotgun's faster rate of fire.

Anyone here working as an emergency responder? What's the seediest crap you have dealt with?
And a question for EMTs and firefighters, when faced with violent offenders what is your gameplan? Are there any EMTs and firefighters that are allowed to be armed? Or are you essentially on your own?
>>30558013
I'm in a suburban town on a volunteer fire dept. Our police dept is always on scene before us unless we're coming back and roll up on something. If we're faced with a violent offender we just let the police handle it because that's their job, not ours.
hello I'm an emergency internet responder. In cases of extreme butthurt I come and fan the flames more
So, has any one here ever fired one of these? From all I've seen and heard it seems like utter trash. Looks really dumb too
There's a custom outfitter somewhere who'll rebuild a H&K SL8 into a semi-auto clone of the XM8, I think MAC on YouTube had one.
I don't know exactly how close that is, but given that the XM8 is heavily based on the G36, I'd say it would be pretty close. So I'd say, if based on the model in your picture (not the last XM8 model), it would be kind of like a weird feeling G36, all in all.
The final XM8 model, before it was abandoned, was somewhat better, had proper rails and stuff.
>>30557942
Considering the XM8 was amongst the best performing in the M4-SCAR16-XM8-G36 tests, I'd say it's performing pretty well?
Remember it's from a time when Picatinny-o'clock and modular stuff everywhere wasn't a thing. It was pretty innovative with the swappable stocks and handguards though.
>>30558132
And personally I think they look cool as fuck. Give it a stock like the new G36KV, picatinny forend, and a flat top rail and it'd be pretty damn sleek.
Is it true? Does the military not provide soldiers with sunblock?
>>30557509
No we do not but the stuff at the BX is 13$ a bottle!
>>30557509
No they don't. You buy your own.
In fact, you can be charged for destroying government property if you allow yourself to be so sun burnt you can't perform your duties.
>>30557509
in the muhreens the GAS/BAS (medical section) will give you some if you ask

Anyone a member of the Ohio defense force? Thinking about joining since the Ohio military reserve stopped training with guns. No prior military experience but I feel twang of guilt for not serving when I was young.
>>30557479
I lived in Cincinnati for 2 years. Ohio is kind of gay.
Also, don't steel the Flash's logo.
>>30557491
Cincinnati is nice but not representative of the whole state, I think you were in the wrong neighborhood when you came up with your homosexual judgement.
>>30557508
I miss Cincinnati chilli I'll tell you that much. Gold Star > Skyline.
I was in the Infantry my man, you can join militia stuff like that if you want, but having expectations of any real training or readiness I doubt it.
Thinking about grabbing a M&P15-22 for range training since it's similar to the AR-15, plus I don't need it for defense right now, then later on grabbing a 9mm pistol, and once im good enough with the M&P15-22, grab a AR-15 (assuming it hasn't been banned yet).
Do any of you have any other suggestions? Not really interested in the 10/22 because of the looks, as well as how difficult it is to clean and such.
>Not really interested in the 10/22 because of the looks
Get a marlin model 60 and stop being tryhard
>>30557124
Just get an AR-15 with a .22 upper receiver famalam
>>30557210
>Just get an AR-15 with a .22 upper receiver famalam
JP-22 & Nordic uppers are the top tier for AR15s in .22LR afaik.
Cost a pretty penny.
Hey /k/, what guns would you recommend for women? I'm not a grill myself, but I need to pick something out for one. Right now I'm thinking something like a Ruger LC9S, but I dunno.
>P.S. can women handle 9mm, is racking the slide on guns really an issue for them, and should I get one with a safety?
>>30556422
let her decide for herself
Get her to try full-size guns too. Most tiny guns are difficult to handle, especially if you have weak hands or sensitive fingers
>>30556422
Start with a 22 after they get used to it go to 9mm
Anybody know what gun this is?

nice joke OP
>>30556126
Colorado turned blue in the first place because of assholes like you leaving for greener pastures but bringing your "California values" with you. Californians are like third world trash that leaves their shithole only to turn their host country into the same thing they left in the first place.
>>30556126
>Where in colorado do i move?
Fuck off, we're full.
Requesting pics of Gandhi firearm tips.

Apparently yes.
More specifically the one about the smoke wagon and moving out of someone's sights.
Do you still love me right? You still loved my brother when he became a tranny and started living as a woman.
>>30555739
you're dead to me. faggot.
>>30555739
Your brother became a cute girl and would make sluty poses for me with guns while in thigh highs. You are the one who is just a faggot.
>>30555739
his being a brain damaged fag wasn't a choice. never contact us again.
OK, so I has a question, /k/. would I be able to, for the purposes of remaining compliant while I'm still in california, insert a set screw in the hole of my PTR91's bullet button? Or would this not be enough in the eyes of johnny law?
Pic related; could I insert a small set screw into that hole, rendering the evil magic bullet button unoperable? I'd totes screw that bitch right back out when shooting on private property, but trips to the range are gonna get weird if they start enforcing that buillshit.
>>30555732
dont think so. the law stipulates that the action has to be at least partially disassembled in order for the magazine to be removed or reloaded.
just find the actual wording of the law tho
>>30556172
OK. so upon further review of the wording, I am still in a pickle, since the magazine and action are both contained within the single piece receiver.
How would one even go about making that compliant? Jesus fuck, I cannot wait to move out of state once the wife and I finish school. I might as well order some kydex, make a monsterman grip, and just remove the fucking bullet button.
>>30556512
shit, I left this part out. The PTR's action is laid out in such a way that you can't really "break it open" like an AR15 or otherwise disassemble it to gain access to the magazine. As such, would this mean I'd have to lock the bolt back and load rounds in through the ejection slot?
Hey where can I get a california legal Hotch Kekler MP5K chambered in 7.62x54.
>pic totally irrelevant
