Is it time to consider power armor for counter terrorism? It's still too limited for military use as there's no ideal power source and enemies would have access to anti armor weapons. While terrorist attacks are increasingly shifting to infantry attacks using rifles. SWAT and CT groups do not have an ideal way to deal with these attacks, they don't have the option of throwing grenades or leveling buildings as the military can in war. They don't have enough protection to rush groups of trained people using rifles as they take casualties and end up having to take cover giving terrorists time to kill large groups of hostages. Snipers have trouble in modern commercial buildings as the thick laminated glass causes problems and if they switch to more powerful weapons they risk killing people behind the target. Even if they manage to kill one, when they are in groups it's unlikely they can get them all at the same time.

Power armor would limit the effect of these attacks, it's nearly impossible to stop them getting rifles, if you have powered armor resistant to military rifles there's a much lower chance of them being able to get anti armor weapons. Even if they did manage to get something it's going to be heavy to carry around, likely have poor accuracy and be difficult to use in close quarters.

Powered armor would also be much faster to deploy, 2 or 3 of them could easily end an attack, as they wouldn't need much support so enemies wouldn't have the time to prepare like they do when police carefully set up behind cover and slowly advance.

Latest lithium cells should be ok. They are around 300wh per kilogram, assuming the powered armor uses 5kw on average you need under 20kg to run it for one hour.

5KW average output is likely a very high estimate, it would mean you were using bursts of 40KW+ 100kg or so of armor doesn't need 80x as much strength as a human.

I've always been a loops guy for my holsters but now that I have a tiny single stack it'd be nice to have something I could use without a belt. How do the clips like pic related perform for elastic waist shorts? Do I need clips with teeth at the end instead?

Those are belt clips. If you want to carry in gym shorts then get a sticky holster.

I recommend a holster with a spring steel clip with a tooth. I know Dark Star Gear does them as custom orders. I think JM Custom does as well.

I dont see much talk of dogs while bugging out innawoods.

All liabilitys aside, an indicator dog with moderate obedience training would be invaluable while moving through the bush or forest.

Im not suggesting attack dogs or anything like that but if your on point and see your dogs ears prick up that gives you the upper hand and surely warrants humping the extra weight of dog chow.

At camp he would be great for keeping guard, keeping me company/warm and attacking intruders. But thats about it

Technically, my first purchase was a Mossberg Plinkster from Walmart when they had them on sale. However, I purchased this not long after from an actual gunstore, so I like to pretend this was my first purchase.

Plus, I have no pictures of the plinkster.

Ok, to preface this, I am a very anxious person. But I feel that it kinda gets out of hand. I'm fairly new to firearms and whenever I hold a loaded gun and know that I'm going to shoot with it I have this insane, unstoppable urge to shit. What the hell is going on? My dad told me that it has something to do with the primal fight or flight reflex. He told me that back in his army days, whenever a big operation lied ahead the toilets were always occupied and that it's normal to some extend. But this is ridiculous, it's not like I'm going on a suicide mission, I'm just about to shoot some inanimate objects. Every 6 old girl handles is better than me. Anyone else got similar ecperiences?

>Britain looks set to lift the ban on women serving in ground combat roles in the UK military, according to reports.
Prime Minister David Cameron is reported to be preparing to make the announcement during the Nato summit which opened in Polish capital Warsaw on Thursday.
The Government has carried out a consultation on lifting the ban, and Downing Street said an announcement would be made "in due course".

She seemed like she did a pretty good job
If she can do that for the entire payload without getting fatigued as shit I wouldn't have a problem.

Also, If women expect to serve combat roles, they should 100% expect to be gang raped if they are ever captured
