Would you/do you run this ammo in YOUR AR? Or is it truly shit tier?
Getting ready to purchase a decent amount of 5.56/,223 - will shell out the extra cash, but why do it if you don't have to?
Downsides of running this stuff in your AR?
I shoot the shit out of it in my AKs, but wasn't sure about reliability in a weapon with tighter tolerances.
>>30601203
Golden tiger is good shit, but in general, yes, steel is shit
>>30601203
>tighter tolerances.
Please die
>>30601203
i shoot whatever i have and sometimes mix magazines with 20 or more different manufacturers and reloads
i didn't buy a hybrid car that i intend to give my children when i die. i bought a rifle
This thread is to discuss the idea of "S.F. require mental, not psyhical, expertise in recruits". I heard many comments among such line and i would like to collect examples and data.
i heard recruits get underfed, sometimes beaten up, and "weak" thin people generally pass the test. This is in opposition to the big muscle mass=true strenght idea which is so prevalent in most of society today.
>>30601130
what
>>30601160
im asking for examples of special forces tests that test the mental stamina and mental strenght of a candidate
>>30601130
maybe
You have a $350 spending limit
Your job is to build a urban operating outfit for a South American environment. The only thing to worry about is shoes, shirt, pants and a suitable backpack. Try to build the best kit. Try to be conspicuous.
>>30601077
im not doing your shopping for you op
>>30601106
What if I give you lewd anime girls, or perhaps smug ones
/k/ please come to me in my time of need. I just got a C308(G3).
I spent 4 hours looking for a wooden stock/handguard . I couldn't find shit. Please help.
>>30601059
But you already have one comrade, it was inside you all along.
I'm talking way up your butthole, like all the way up your butthole.
>>30601059
I couldn't find any wood g3 stock sets so I modified cetme stuff with a lag bolt and some drilling and welding, this is the finished product
>>30601102
I only wish
Is there any alternative to the hi point that is reliable but also relatively cheap?
>>30600916
Bersa Thunder for a reliable .380
And well, I guess you can get Turk shit
>>30600916
For $150? No.
For $250ish (including FFL/shipping if bought online) you can get a Taurus Millennium G2, but they you're gambling with Taurus quality control. Say what you want about Hi-Point but they've never had to recall a million pistols for accidentally when dropped.
If you're OK with .380, new Bersa Thunders are $300 these days, but still good pistols.
You can find a load of used and trade-in Glocks and M&Ps for $350+ new, so once you get to this price range you're safe. There's lots of choices.
>>30600975
I've heard that hating on Hi Point is basically a meme for gun owners, but that they are actually okay for the price.
Alright. Little shitfaced right now and had an idea whilst thinking about what happens if shit hits the fan and I need a rifle that can penetrate thick slabs of concrete and steel. Would it be possible to fire a .50 caliber raufoss round or conventional ball or AP-I bullets themselves from a percussion .50 caliber rifle. Anyone of you anons brave enough to actually test this. I want to know whether or not if I had a musket and came across a large amount of .50bmg but no ma deuce or Barrett to fire it, I'll still be able to kill vehicles and other hard targets.
>>30600723
Anyone up for an anti-tank musket?
>>30600723
What use would any loyal subject of the crown have for a musket that can pierce a fort?

Can someone please explain the strategy and tactics that were used in the gulf war?
The commanding general flew back to the US halfway through to do exactly that. The whole explanation is on YouTube. Look it up and get back to us with what you learned.
Be more specific in your questions op. As far as the history of warfare goes it probably remains the most mechanized confrontation recorded. Outside of the battle of Kuwait Airport, Khafji, and special recon missions of the 10th sfg very little infantry action occurred.

India to produce licensed F16s block D, instead.
http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/economy/in-exclusive-deal-india-to-get-most-advanced-f16-fighter-jets-by-201920/article8835851.ece
Because who wants a fake 4th gen fighter with the actual capabilities of a 3rd gen fighter, no AESA, and engines which break down every 400 hours.
>>30599860
You know the PAK-FA is total trash when the Indians don't even want it. Russians confirmed for #1 subhumans.
>>30599860
What is India even doing? I thought they were buying Rafales and Su-30?
Now they want F-16's too?
>>30599911
It'll be interesting if India buys all 3 for the lulz.
We'll see French, Russian and American planes flying in the same nation's air force.
Any thoughts on what's become a must buy before the end of the year? Talking mostly handguns here, well aware of the AR situation. I figure with all the shit going on here, even more companies are going to be pulling out.
>>30599794
combo of hd ammo you dont find locally and bulk buys. having a hard time deciding what and balancing it
>>30599794
if you're in Cali, prioritize getting the fuck out. Otherwise I'd go with ammo over guns.
>>30599794
Ammo over guns cause if in november Newsom gets his wish youre going to need to need some fucking voodoo magic to get ammo in any kind of reasonable timeframe
For their grenades and stuff. or maybe Discovery? or did they contract the whole thing out? I remember explosives experts. what would atf think when they see requests?
>>30599737
they say it every fucking time they blow something up
"heres our explosives expert from local law enforcement yadda yadda"
>>30599737
San Francisco Police Bomb Squad
Pretty sure they just brought some guy along with the proper authorization who operated the explosives and they just filmed it.
Could Taiwan realistically hold back a PRC naval invasion, or would they desperately need allied support?
>>30599534
Realistically?
Taiwan would get rekt without the USA.
>>30599534
Just PLAN vs Taiwan? Hell no.
>>30599534
They'd lose on sea and in the air, but not without doing a more-than-expected amount of damage first. People severely underestimate how effective they could be in a defensive land campaign though.
Pic related it's what I bought today from Academy.
I have this compulsion that I want nobody else to have .22lr ammo except me. Is that weird?
This is like 1% of my .22lr horde.
>>30599470
why don't you choot 'em?
>>30599470
This >>30599482
>Academy
How much was that per box? $50?
>>30599482
I'm an ammo hoarder. All of my spare money goes to guns and ammo.
I wouldn't want to shoot any of it. Unless it was to defend myself in a civil war, or during home invasions.
I have hundreds of thousands of rounds total among all of my ammo (in all calibers).
Just ordered another 3k of brass cased 9mm for $540 shipped. I love getting good deals.
What are the differences (if any) with Glocks that say USA on the side vs. Glocks that say Austria on the side (besides where they are made).
Is the quality the same? Do you prefer one over the other?
Austrian Glocks use at least one of Hitler's pubes in every gun. They sneak it in to the injection molding phase and hope nobody notices. That's why they're produced in smaller volume than the made in USA ones.
>>30599570
What conditioner do you think they used to keep them supple for 70+ years? Pantene maybe?
>>30599427
The actual answer is in the finish to the slide. The Austrians use one (Tennifer? could be wrong) which is not allowed to be used in the USA because of the EPA. USA slide finish slightly different, *said* to be inferior (the most environmentally harmful shit is always the best). Other than that, no difference. Googly verify if you like, the gist is correct.
Anybody knows about the quality and history about this?
It's made in Spain, chambered in .38Spl. Manufactured around 1920-1930. It's worth about $150. Don't fire it without having a gunsmith check it out first; in all likelihood it has poor lockup.
