Give me recommendations, I've been looking a lot at survival knives/machetes like pic related
They all suck. Get a gun.
>>30767735
Mace.
If you can't get a gun, and want something bladed, just get the biggest machete or kukri you can find. They all run pretty cheap, and the bigger, the better.
If you're scared that you will accidentally injure yourself with it, then it's good enough.
9mm pistols that have 12+ magazines GO! (No glocks)
>>30767721
Like most of them
Browning Hi-Power
anything with a doublestack magwell and not subcompact will hold >12 rounds.
I am in a Firestone Complete Auto Care Center here in MacDill AFB, FL and the Manager was a USMC veteran. His shop is small but the lobby looks like a war museum, I will take you guys on a ride.
Minesweeping device
old school radio
Foreign Currencies
If you guys want a close up of a particular currency let me know.
You think Massachusetts has got it bad? We Canuks are about to get shafted. Time to lose the sks's in a "boating accident boys".

yea, we know, it's several months old.
it wont pass.
trudeau wont pass something like that unless he's got a coalition with the ndp in mind for the next federal election, cuz he'll get btfo by torries otherwise

Well fuck its the first I heard, I know this shit ain't gonna fly, but if they really think even trying this right out the gate is going to give them a good image, then they are fucked in the head.
"I didn't turn with enemy pilots as a rule. I might make one turn—to see what the situation was—but not often. It was too risky."
General John C. Meyer, Vice-Chief of Staff, USAF - 26 Victories, WW-II and Korean Conflict
So most of aerial combat is just people pussying out and playing it safe?
How does anyone get a kill?
By not dying and living to fight when the situation suits them
>>30767470
He's basically saying "If the enemy is obviously baiting you, then it is better to just leave rather than try to fight a spider in its own web."
>>30767470
Because the vast majority of aerial kills are achieved by ambushing enemy planes before they even know you're there. Dogfighting is an absolute last resort because you never want to risk facing an enemy on even vaguely equal terms.
Mauser Action is best action bread.
My M 48 A
my vz-24, i got a field gauge and it doesn't chamber but it seems close. Im pretty new to milsurp, so oes anyone know how many rounds before i should think about taking to a gunsmith?
>>30767656
talk to a gunsmith whenever you think something is wrong with your gun. And stop shooting it then. You don't want to make things worse or blow shit up next to your face
are vz-24's basically the same thing but just in a different caliber?
Are they still a mythical bunch of social rejects trying to find redemption or are they a special forces group like any of the others around the world?
>special forces
The coolest thing they got is regular ass airborne infantry.
They really aren't that great, they are just sent to shit places where the French President doesn't want to risk the lives of actual citizens.
That's a minimi yes? Shit is absolutely sexual.
They're not special forces, they're elite light infantry with airborne and light armor components.
And to answer your first question, in a way, yes. The Legion mostly attracts young men from less prosperous European nations who have no real prospects in life and who don't really fit in anywhere else. But if you're asking if it's still made up of cutthroats and louts, no. However, the training is still brutal (by Western standards anyway), they still fight like hell, and they're still sent to places nobody has ever heard of in place of other units that the French government doesn't feel the need to send. So at least that hasn't changed much.
Out of curiosity how important is it to have a flashlight on your gun?
I keep hearing people say if you're going to only have on accessory on your gun it has to be a light and shit like that.
>>30767256
do you clear rooms at night very often?
>>30767256
Very important, unless you own NODs. Target identification is THE most important thing to have before using a firearm defensively.
>>30767256
Say someone breaks into your home at 3 am. You grab your gun and pop your head out to the hallway and see a general shape of a person there. What then? Your 400+ lumen light or whatever puts you in an advantage because you are now shining a blinding light directly at him in a way that he can't really see where you are (doesn't work at longer distances and in open environments) and you can clearly ID him as a threat or someone else before shooting
Remember the 4 golden rules of shooting?
Hello /k/.
At the beginning of Spring I will be moving to Galena, Alaska for work. I have already decided on an FN 17s as my defensive, recreational, hunting, everything rifle. What I'm curious about is what you guys would generally recommend for an outdoor setup on the gun. My current rifle is just an AR with a light, reflex sight, and other accouterments suited for conventional short/mid defense roles. If you guys have any experience or opinions about which slings, sights, lights, or other additions that you think would be good I'd love to hear them.
>TL;DR
What goes on an innawoods rifle?
>> scar17
Hahhahhahahah. Good luck.
>>30767246
7.62x51 wont stop a charging grizzly bear. I wouldn't trust my life with it at least.
Get a 12 gauge with slugs or a .45-70 Marlin 1895.
>>30767246
Hard to find today. Might change if FN ever ships.
That said, here is mine

Thinking about getting a soft level IIIA carrier that can go under clothes in case SHTF, any suggestions/experience?
>>30767203
>by the way the 3 "a" is just a marketing term.
False. Shut the fuck up if you don't know jack shit.
Levels 1-3A are SOFT ARMOR ratings, designed to stop frag and pistol caliber rounds.
Levels 3-4 are HARD ARMOR ratings, designed to protect from intermediate and full-size rifle rounds.
I assume you mistook III-A with the recently popped "III+" and "++" ratings, which are not official NIJ levels. They're just a fancy way of the manufacturers to say that their armor exceeds Lv III protection requirements, but do not fulfill the Lv IV requirements.
>>30767169
There's dozens of those "concealable" kevlar and dyneema vests on the market. Just choose your poison.
That being said, there are also these super-slim plate carrier options, that while almost require you to use a metal plate to stay sleek, would still be easily concealed, and would protect from rifle rounds + anything lesser..
>>30767203
AR500 is fucking awesome what are you talking about?
>Huge easy menu, fairly fast trackable delivery, dozens of live youtube videos showing their exact level of protection for whatever type of ammo you may ever get shot by so you can know exactly what it will stop. Also the spalding is a very nice touch both in normal and +coatings
>wearing hard body armor above IIIA underneath clothes
Uh what? How huge is your outfit?
Does /k/ approve of the Nelson class battleships? Personally I love them, that visual brutalism and the fact that all the guns are forward, like she gives zero fucks about retreating. Their functional ugliness reminds me of the A-10 Warthog in that they both attain a sort of beauty through sheer brutal "fuck you" aesthetics.
>>30766996
Building one armoured box to house all the guns and ammunition is far more efficient in terms of weight than building two armoured boxes fore and aft.
Initially, they also had an amusing problem with breaking the huge reinforced windows when firing a broadside.
They were arguably the 2nd best treaty battleships after KGV.
Nelson would be pleased with the 'straight at em' design.
>>30766996
It looks cool but Iowa class best class. Yuropoor battleships are just inferior.
I like them. A Nelson class intimidated both Scharnhorst and Gneisenau when they went to attack a convoy being escorted by one (can't remember if it was Nelson or Rodney). When they saw that brutal bastard with nine 16 inch guns pointing at them they turned around and went home.
>ITT: Write a letter to a gun company.
Dear FN,
Please make more FS2000s. They're rad as hell and it's a shame your marketing division doesn't know how to do their job with them. Actually go ahead and get an entirely new marketing division and give them a functional budget this time.
All five of the people that wanted your $8000 poodle shooter bought them already so please stop focusing on it.
People would gladly pay 2k a pop for SCARs but an MSRP of $3,349 is ridiculous. Fix that.
Replace the retarded lego brick PS90 you're currently producing and bring back the PS90 TR.
Also make a subcompact FiveseveN already.
>>30766995
Dear Anon,
Like HK, we couldn't give less of a fuck what you as an American civilian shooter want. Now if you'll excuse us we have some .mil dicks to throat.
Love, FN
>>30766995
Dear Radom.
Please hurry, my money is literally catching my pants on fire and I want to buy an actual non-shit archer.
Also, the ragun would be nice too.
Please see if the ATF will let you start selling soon.
>>30767039
> Daily reminder that HK was the only company to oppose the laws preventing the US market from buying their guns.
I have:
>Savage 110 .30-06 scoped, shoot 3-4 deer with it every year
>Mossberg 88
>.22 Marlin, I think it's a model 25, use it for plinking but I need to get it fixed because it won't eject casings
I want, in order of importance/likely acquisition
>Glock 19 for concealed carry
>Maybe Ruger LCP for concealed carry for my wife
>AR-15
>Another AR-15 for my wife
>.22 Ruger pistol for fun, ideally with suppressor for pretending I'm c00l Oper8or
>10-15 more AR-15s in kits and unfinished lowers for when SHTF
>.22 Gatling gun I'll make myself
>PTR 91

Fuck you it counts.
>>30767315
That isn't a gun.
Is the deagle in .50AE a good gun?
do you see any other handguns that shoot 50ae and can also be used to inflict severe blunt force trauma to a bitch?
I had one. It was fun. It was more of a toy than something I would trust my life to.
>>30766831
Deagles are high maintenance pistols and are pretty much just BBQ guns to show off.
I bought a Saiga 5.45x39 just before Sandysnatch. Ammo was dirt cheap and plentiful. Not so much anymore.
Should I sell it and get an AR?
it's still cheap. Cheaper than an AR.
No, have it converted. Then if you don't like it you can sell it and buy two ARs.
>>30766712
5.45 is still cheap, new production steel cased is 20-25 cents per round, exactly the same if not cheaper than the cheap 7.62x39 or 5.56 If you want an ar go ahead and sell it but if you want to get rid of it because of ammo costs alone that would not make sense when ammo for either would be the same price.
