Hi /k/omanndos.
I have a mossberg 500 for hd. But, being a poor-fag, I can't afford a tactical rail mount and expensive flashlights.
So I just took the clamp that came in the box with my mossberg, clamped it around end of magtube, and clamped a flashlight on it.
Pic related.
Tell me how much of a dumb ass I am /k/
I'm new to prepping for urbanomics.
Will reply with flashlight.
>>30773288
Shit I bought 2 new 590s and I never got a nifty clamp, what the heck
>>30773304
My Mossberg was offered with an 18.5'' barrel and a 26'' barrel. they where clamped together with the clamp pictured in the box.
This is the Luger my great grandpappy took off a dead kraut somewhere in France during WWII. Apparently the guy had just killed several of my great grandpas squadmates, so he took the Luger as a trophy from his body, then carried it for the rest of the war.
Rated in pristine condition, and it has the exceptionally rare Kü marks, of which only about 5000 pistols are known to exist.
What exceptionally rare or story-having guns do you own?
>>30773165
The Kü marks
i got an sks from vietnam my grandpa picked up
Jennings in 25 auto that was used in a murder/attempted murder
Mauser used during spanish civil war
Model 10 from an Australian police officer
AK stockset from an Azerbaijani muslim that got killed in yugo conflicts
Does /k/ use boat tail rounds or regular rounds with their AR-15s (in .223 or 5.56)? Right now on PSA American Eagle 223 55GR FMJ BT is just 10 cents cheaper than the regular bullets. From what im reading the benefits of BT don't kick in until 300 yards. Are there are disadvantages of BT rounds?
>>30773128
I don't believe there are any meaningful disadvantages to boat tail rounds. Besides limiting your selection of seating depths, but that really doesn't matter too much in 223.
>>30773128
Old school gun writers held that they wore out your barrel faster. No idea if that's true with modern steels.
>>30773256
And this is why your retarded face is filtered, just not on my phone
Hey /k/ommandos, been looking into buying a hunting rifle. it'd be my first gun owned, and a starter so i'd be looking for something that uses cheaper ammo.
Pick related one of the guns im looking at.
bump with the other one im looking at
first is savage arms axis ii xp, first is the remington 783
savage axis, ruger american, remington 783 are good choices
caliber depends on the game, but .308 and .30-06 will take almost all north american game.

So I have decided to Get a Semi-Auto Rifle in .308 and Seeing as the SCAR SSR is in the wind at the moment I am on the fence on weather or not to get a SCAR-H Or Just an AR-10. It's not going to be used for CQB activities I will probably end up putting a Vortex PST FFP on it but for the most part it will only be a 25-800 Yard Gun. I may end up getting a suppressor for it in the future but that's Another thread. The most important qualities I am looking for are (in order) Accuracy, Weight, Portability. Thoughts? AR-10 or SCAR H for the the Next Purchase.
>>30772961
If you spend SCAR money on an AR-10, you'll almost certainly be more accurate, but the SCAR is much lighter than any off the shelf AR-10 style rifle.
I'm just sitting here getting mad, though, because it's been over a year and there's still no aftermarket support for the DPMS LR308 G2.
It's a factory .308 AR that's lighter AND more accurate than a SCAR, but also lol DPMS, I'm not buying factory rifles from those clowns.
>also my goal is a 20 inch 6.5 Creedmore that's under 9 lbs with optic and can. I could make one today if I was willing to buy a factory rifle (pretty much just for the bolt, receivers, and barrel extension, fugg) and have a custom barrel made from a blank...
>>30773043
>not buying factory rifles
I have a DPMS Mini-SASS that shoots 1/2 MOA with SMK 77's.
There not all bad. Just don't get the shit ones.
>>30772961
>20 inch 6.5 Creedmore
OP here.
I have RPR in 6.5 and its Awesome. You will not be disappointed with the Cartridge.
Will look at the GII and see where it sits on the scales.

Question: what kind of gun did he shoot himself with?
We're did this hardcore thug go after he shot himself?
It was a .22 Phoenix Arms Range Master... A gun cheaper than a Hi-Point.
>>30772699
Lo caliber, probaby a cheap throwaway, maybe a 38, but damage would be more iirc
Since I live in Europe and cannot legally acquire a gun to defend myself against the invading armies of Islam and all the leftist cucks don't want to admit there is a problem, this sort of thing will be my only weapon when shit finally hits the fan. Before you say it, no I don't plan on using it in a fight with random people or to show off, I would keep something like this under my bed in case I am in real danger because obiviously things will get alot more dangerous and clearly the people need to defend themselves because the state will not
replace batteries with doorknobs and your good to go
>>30772708
Why ?
I'm not arguing against you, just curious
>>30772716
way harder hitting, larger surface area. depending on knobs oblong shape can cause cuts.
get heavy duty doorknobs. or really any heavy metal object you can buy at hardware stores. such as metal brackets and other fasteners. Pipe too.
What's it like getting shot?
bags of sand
sledge hammer, burning, oh god the pain, cold, morphine, soreness

Hello /k/ I want to try something with you guys.
Let's design a gun!
We're going to be starting from the bottom up and we're going to get real darn detailed here so i'm going to need your help!
sketches, detailed descriptions, and general ideas are greatly appreciated! let's get innovative and collaborate on something?
I will be updating with schematics and renders of the gun during the process and /k/ will direct the whole effort.
This might not work like i'm hoping it will so let's please try to keep the shit-posting to a minimum.
Just a few things before we start; don't say "add a trigger" give me a reference or a detailed description of how the trigger should be designed to produce the most comfortable ergonomics, and to produce the most efficient design in the weapon. (Same goes for any other part of the gun.)
>>30772510
Taurus pls go
>>30772530
I work with keltec and we're trying to rip off your guys ideas for our next design.
>>30772510
shameless bump.
I would put some of my ideas forwards, but I want to see what we as a collective could come up with.
So the other day I made a thread about getting my LTC here in Texas and a lot of you guys mentioned Texas Law Shield. No big surprise they came and spoke to the class and offered their platinum membership. Are they legitimate? Are they worth it? Thoughts?
Read the fucking fine print is all I have to say. None of the self-defense insurances seemed worthwhile when I read through their text but I'm not a Texan so I didn't read this one. Remember that cases can cost YUGE amounts of coin--Zimmerman is on the hook for like 2mil. Insurances work by a lot of people paying in a little and then just a few needing to pull out a lot. Do you think any of these insurances have enough people paying in a little for you to pull out a lot if need be--oh and to cover costs for their site, and the salary for the guy who is managing it, and other sundry expenses...? Do they guarantee that when you need them most they won't say "oh because of line 34.b we don't have to help you at all sorry sucker"?
READ THE FINE PRINT.
