Anyone know of any good deals going on for complete ar15 uppers? All the shootings seem to have skyrocketed demand and price

I have been. They all suck. Dammit /k/ I just want to build my ar before that bitch Hillary is elected without having to sell a testicle to finance it. Oh well I suppose nothing can be done about it. You guys are my go-to guys when it comes to good deals.
>>30782226
Manufacturers generally fulfill orders with distributors before they start selling straight from the factory again. It's just smart business. Find a LGS who has them or is willing to order you one.
So guys i'm thinking about picking up one of these. The reasons are: I want to work on one, their cheap, their reliable.
Talk me out of it guys.
>inb4 Get a kel-tec sub 2000 they don't come in 45.
Are those the stock ironsights?
>>30782215
no their after market
>>30782201
.45 you say? Why not go with superior Swiss engineering?
Actually, you might want to look around for "Mec-Tech" carbines. They're an upper that attaches to Glock pistols. Pretty neat.
So, it's not really WWI, but it will at least be entertaining, right?
If the files from the alpha are to be believed, though, they've already made some boneheaded choices on guns.

Yeah, it'll probably be fun, and it'll be a gorgeous game, but it won't be a good WW1 game at all.

he didnt need to shoot her and probably shouldnt have but in most places he was legally within his right.
>>30782035
Legally within rights. She had scissors held in a position ready to strike and she was walking towards with him purpose. If she was fearful for her life, she would have stopped, ran, or laid down.
I'm not sure if I would have shot her, its easier to just run (and I'm also not a cop so shooting people takes a lot of free time to defend against), but he was legally capable of shooting her because she was wielding a weapon and definitely appeared to want to use it.
Also looking for matching gear, links are much appreciated.

would this be okay for hunting in the Northern US/Southern Canada?
>>30782045
Web pages that have these listed for sale say wind resistant, water proof, breathable, and has rip-stop fabric. Is any of this true? I dunno, but if it is then yes. Yes it would be okay.
Masshole here just picked up my LTC today. I wanted a 1911 for my first handgun any recommendation on brand? WW2 style preferred. Other good first handguns?

auto ordinance is like 500 bucks, looks nearly exactly like your picture, very solid all around

You posted WW1 style though.

Too fat to carry comfortably. Tools are too small and fragile to be of much real use.

Hey anyone got the STALKER challenge infographics on hand? I don't seem to have them
/k/, 30 rounds a minute is just way too fast, it seems. That's one every 2 seconds.
Is this the kind of shit that gets cali-like laws passed? Cap mags, make them hard to remove so you can't get a shot off every 2 seconds?

You could always buy a drum.

Or a police van.
Are chrome-lined barrels necessary, specifically in an AR-style rifle?
I ask because I'm looking for an upper for the lower I just finished, and I don't really believe I'll shoot this enough to warrant the extra $100+ on a chrome-lined barrel instead of a straight melonite-treated chrome-moly barrel.
pic unrelated, obviously.
>>30780958
I think you answered your own question, anon.
>>30781023
I'm just wondering if there's anything I'm missing when it comes to chromed barrels.
>>30780958
Go chrome or go home.
I'm bored and have the smith and wesson book. Anyone need help with identification? Production years? Other info?
Nobody?

Hey /k/, i've been doing a little research into 3D printed rifles. I haven't been able to find too much of what i'm wanting to know, however.
Basically what i'm curious about is, what parts on a rifle, specifically an AKM, could be replaced with plastic 3D printed parts without having to worry too much about eventual failure? I know that there have been rifles printed entirely out of plastic, but from what i read, these will shit out after a few hundred rounds of fire (no surprise here).
not this meme again
you can 3d print parts for any weapon
but if you actually want them to be decent and not break you need to spend the money on an expensive printer
a little $200 babys first 3d printer will not work

>>30780937
Yeah but i'd imagine certain parts will shit out after a while simply by virtue of being plastic. Which ones can you replace with 3D printed parts without this being too much of a concern?
Who /unusualcc/ here? Started carrying a Romanian tokarev.
Pros
>7.62x25 STRONK
>Points well without sighting in.
>Authoritative looking.
>Light recoil
>Cheap. Would not be too upset if cops "misplaced" it.
>Retard tough.
>Probably was used to kill gypsies.
Cons
>Not drop safe.
>Ugly import safety.
>Kinda heavy.
>Buy ammo online or no where.
>Ammo hurts poorfag budgets.
I love it.

Can a skilled gunsmith make this a reality? Why the fuck would anyone need an anti material rifle that long, its too fucking heavy and too long.
Why does it have to be an anti material rifle anyway? Who the fuck shoots at a tank with it (except for the russian rebels in ukraine but thats just for show)?
You take the shorter, but still the same thing as the ancient soviet grandma of the RPG and have the same fun with it, if not more.
Its excellent for close quarters combat and you can kill 4 people with one shot. Why hasnt anyone thought of this before?
>>30780805
>A huge fucking obrez
I came, someone needs to CC this.
its retarded, most if not all the powder would be wasted as a fire ball instead of being used to propel the bullet. i doubt there'd be enough gas to actually cycle the action let alone strip and rechamber a round. then the actual bullet it self wouldn't have anywhere near the same effectiveness since the barrel's rifling wouldn't have had enough twist rate to stabilize it our length to encapsulate the powder to propel it.
