How do I survive a home invasion with /noguns/
>>30794434
Add a set of deadbolts (that go top and bottom) and a properly strong door to your room. Lock this door if you suspect a home invasion, call the police, and wait.
Then the police arrive and the guy has been gone for 20 minutes. You fill out a report and then mourn the loss of your TV. The police then do nothing.
Have fun.

or visit a home depot with $20 and build a shotgun
Hey /k/, I have a problem.
I have an SKS, specifically a 1959 dated Chinese SKS with a milled bolt and lightening cut and the factories mark. The problem is that I bought a pack of 20 NCStar stripper clips and wiped the oil off them, and much of the time when I try to push in rounds, the stripper clip goes inside the gun itself and often times disengages the bolt lock, pushing forward and wedging itself even worse. It is a great nuisance and I can't figure out why it does this. I am using Golden Tiger 124 grain FMJ boat tailed, steel-cased ammo.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Forgive upside down picture autism aswell, fuck Camera
>>30794390
NCStar clips are complete shit.
>>30794390
You're using the stripper clip notch at the front of the bolt right? If you are, and when you push down on the rounds with your thumb the stripper clip is jamming down into the rifle's magazine well along with the ammunition, it means that the stripper clips you have are likely defective and/or not designed for your particular type of SKS. There are supposed to be protrusions on either side of the stripper clip that physically prevent the stripper clip from going too deeply into the magwell. From the sounds of it, that's not happening. If you know anyone who has good, working stripper clips, try those.
Other questions to consider:
Is the rifle in good condition? All original parts? Has it been bubba'd in any way that you can tell?
Unless you have a working SKS and stripper clips to compare it to, you might want to see a gunsmith. Or, you might be better off switching to tapco 20 rounders. There's a "duckbill-less" mod as well as a couple other magazine types available. See this website - http://www.thesksmagadapter.com/our-products/
Personally, I just load my SKS manually, without stripper clips. I find it helps me not blow all my range ammo in 10 minutes.
I've been looking into getting an ar-15 and this is one I've had my eye on, is it good for the price?

I noticed my gas tube was discolored when taking my hand guard off with what seems to be black build up of some sort close to the gas block. I was wondering what is going on here. Do I need a new gas tube?
>stainless steel so it's not rust
Probably just carbon fouling from the gas block. Wipe it off with Flitz and a rag if it bothers you and you want to polish it, I just shoot it.
You need a new gas tube when your rifle stops cycling properly, until then it's fine.
>>30793904
Yeah, as >>30793965 said, it's normal. I freak at first when I built my first AR, trained on the M4. That post/gas block doesn't do that at all, rebuilt my rifle, after typing the right phrase to find out it's normal as long as block isn't getting loose.
>>30794033
>>30793965
So pretty much the stainless steel look is aesthetics pretty much? I was just caught off guard today because I was doing a deep clean for a long term storage as I will be leaving for college soon. I was worried a little bit that the gas tube was damaged and that it would blow up on me if I didn't get it checked out...again just a freak out as I was not used to seeing this.

How do I get a blessed glock?
I am afraid of skinwalker attacks. Would a vatican blessed glock be a good defense against that and vampires?
I have a saiga also. Aren't all of the arms out of the saiga factory blessed by orthadox priests?
>>30793711
If you can find a Catholic priest, he might be willing to bless a gun for you.
Expect a "never to be drawn in anger" line, tho...
>>30793711
Wouldn't you need to bless the bullets? If not, why not just bless your hand so it works on all guns, and it would give you the option of a divine bitch slap.
>>30793711
I've been actually thinking about finding an orthodox priest to bless my guns.
>>30794541
>If you can find a Catholic priest, he might be willing to bless a gun for you.
catholics are fucking cucks. he'd probably call cops on you for even asking something like that.
Was $30 a decent price for this Marlin model 60?? It's got some barrel rust and it has "AK22" crudely carved into the stock...
>>30793692
$30 for any gun that will function more than a few shots is worth it.
clean it as best you can and maybe lurk ebay or rimfire central for a cheap stock.
>new stock
>wd40
>camo rustoleum
>sell it to some dumbass
easy money OP
As long as it's mechanically sound, and the bore isn't in horrible condition, you got yourself a great deal, the Model 60 is a great little 22.
So I downloaded a movie called Daylight's End which stars Johnny Strong and Lance Henriksen (I like both of them) and as I'm watching this, I notice that one of the bad guys looks fucking familiar.
It's definitely none other than JAMES YEAGER! Here's a screenshot of him operating with an AK. He also has a Glock as well.
Haters gonna hate but Yeager's now a movie star... something all you haters will never be.

When did he dive into a ditch?
Is this a good choice for my first gun? It won't leave my house. It would just stay in a hand-safe by my bedside in case I have to stop home invaders.
>>30793547
it'll work just fine for that. get a light mounted on its rail.
>>30793547
I'm not a fan of Glocks, but that's just personal preference. It'll work fine for what you want it for.
Look at the Springfield XD line before you make a decision. Same basic style, but I prefer how they feel.
>>30793547
Yeah, it's a solid gun. This was my first one, and I bought it for the same intended purpose as yours. It did jam on me at the shooting range today, though.

thing is, they're 5,000$ each
i have the money to pay for it outright.
i know they are generally uncommon guns to find, but is 5,000$ too much? should i just wait until i find cheaper ones?
DO IT FAGGOT
>>30793481
What state is this in?
If you can't do your own research on a $5 thou purchase, you probably shouldn't buy it.
