Can someone tell me the purpose of these knives other then it's tacticool?
There's an entire fighting style for Karambits.

Found this one on the sidewalk. Is it even worth it to keep it as a drop knife in a bug out bag?
Why did the gunpowder revolution take place in Europe and not China, the birthplace of gunpowder?
>>30986277
Because it did.
>>30986277
Because China was largely a peaceful country with huge wars only every 200 years.
And even in these wars, they fought mere horse nomads or against rebellions.
Because the Chinese don't traditionally do the R&D thing. They invent things.. then decline to follow through on them. Cultural and economic thing. Who wants to bust their ass and spend their money if their invention is going to belong to the Emperor? or better yet, earn him a death sentence because it disturbs social harmony or some shit?
Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather have them not happen at all. Violence is always an ugly thing.
However, do you think it might spark some 2A sentiment when Joe Blow American sees fucking hellfire and chaos like pic related?
I dunno, just a thought.

I'm sure all the craziness the past few years has caused many people to arm themselves. So overall I would say yes.

No

My brick is on Column 19, Section D. My name is listed on the very first page of the laminated book. I served in the 3rd Ranger Battalion.
I receive these postings pretty often. I was wondering if you all were interested. I can copy/paste them here if you wish.
Col. Douglas G. Vincent was a paratrooper in the 82nd before becoming a ranger.
Yes and? Plenty of other Rangers lurk here without needing recognition for their accomplishments.

Easy there bud, he's probably just willing to offer any insight for anyone interested.

Best Optic for a SBR Krink?
Reflex sight, maybe? SBRs aren't going to be great past 200m.

Hey /K/ are reasonably priced 1911s unreliable, like the Remington R1, like opposed to a more modern firearm?
colt 1991 series 70 is the cheapest you should go if you want a reliable 1911
>>30985960
so a more modern pistol would be best? I am in no way looking to spend over 700$ for just the gun itself
>>30985804
Price is in no way an indication of a modern 1911's reliability. It's mostly an indication of materials used, branding, and cosmetic features. Due to variances between manufacturers in both dimensional clearances and quality control standards, the only way to tell if a 1911 is basically reliable is to perform a handful of tests on the construction and assembly of each individual gun.

You know, you are hiding in your basement for the zombies to leave, or you got a bug out bag and camping out innawoods.
You got to have something for fun, otherwise the stress would just make you go mad. Its partly why there is candy in MREs I imagine. Morale, its important.
Whats your morale booster in SHTF? Whats your innawoods fun? Innabasement fun?
Weed.

I'd rather serve in the Kaiserliche Marine, thank you. At least they got to say no to their suicide missions in a way.
If someone makes a gun for themselves legally as an individual, and then later files for an FFL, can you transfer the guns you made as an individual to your FFL?
Now when you say make...
>make your own guns
>legally
>>30985689
You'd have to file a form and put a serial number on it, but you can do it.
>>30985953
Not OP, but yes anon, you can legally make your own guns.

Pay someone with a manufacturer's license, you can't keep it, but you are allowed to shoot it under the supervision of the license holder, IIRC.

Anywhere from 250~ to 2000+++ depending on authenticity. I recommend building one yourself as it is somewhat cheaper and more "enlightening" and personal.
BP is good fun, just really dirty. Got into casting my own lead balls. I definitely have a greater appreciation for the old technology.

Why do people use PCCs as short range defensive weapons when semi auto shotguns exist?
>>30985110
>Why do people use PCCs as short range defensive weapons when semi auto shotguns exist?
Recoil. Capacity.
>>30985168
I suppose that makes sense for larger engagements but I'll take 12 round mags of buckshot over 30 round mags of 9mm for home defense. If 24 or 36 volleys of buckshot can't kill all the invaders I've got a serious fucking problem.
>>30985110
Some of us live with other people. Also, you can't silence a shotgun well.
