With an exploded view of a firearm, do you think you could manufacture that firearm?
>>31104220
not likely. a number of details are obscured in an exploded view and no dimensions are given. Now if we had detailed dimensions of say the bolt of a weapon and an exploded view it might be possible to make something very similar to the original firearm although parts likely wouldn't interchange.
>>31104220
no because there are no fucking measurements you faggot.
Literally impossible without a 3D printer.
Do you watch Ian? Also general /k/ youtube thread
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzSXvhGdfzo
>>31104178
Who the fuck doesn't watch Ian? Some kind of gaylords?
>>31104178
Of course.
I genuinely miss the days when he actually pulled apart the guns to show how they worked though
>>31104189
Yeah what ever happened to that?
Is it a bad idea to only wear sneakers for when SHTF? If I went innawoods with just sneakers, would that be a bad idea? If so, can anyone recommend me a good pair of boots?
>>31104009
Lace up ariat boots.
~$160
Lace up Justin boots.
~$100
Don't get steel toe. Don't get wolverine, the sole falls off, I've had it happen.
Only bought Justin for quite awhile. Just got these ariats. I like them, justin make them cheaper but just as good.
Pull on boots come off when running, and when in mud. But they are easier to warerproof. Lace ups have a tendency to let water in through the toung, but provide ankle support and flexibility.
What ever you get grab a can of mink oil too, oil them.
>>31104009
Salomon or Oboz boots are amazing
sneakers are going to be fairly miserable when wet, or carrying a pack, have no ankle support, and the tread is far from ideal for the terrain.
>>31104009
>>31104158
>have no ankle support
this is the biggest issue.
I NEED AIR SUPPORT NOW, GODDAMMIT.
>>31103822
thx 4 u cervix
gotta get at least 6 kills first sir :^)
I NEED TECH SUPPORT NOW. GODDAMMIT.
How effective would America's war on drugs be if they took the Duterte approach of basically killing every dealer they find?
Depends if you like being a 3rd world shithole or not.
drugs would be more expensive, and there would be a larger number of dealers, with shorter, lower-risk careers, making a smaller number of deals for the same amount of money (potentially reducing the number of total apprehensions)
meanwhile, the constitution would have no value whatsoever, as this situation means that we've established a precedent of disregarding basically all judicial protections and have handed a blank check to the government to kill American citizens.
>>31103789
Basically this. Trash will be trash anywhere but the more brutal the government the more the general public will subvert it to the detriment of development.
What does /k/ use for defensive ammo? CC? HD? Discuss and berate others choices. Pic related is what I'm currently using.
>>31103744
Hydra shoks? Wow welcome to the 80s.
Act like the tool making modern human you are and have a go at pic related.
>>31103759
Why fix what ain't broke?
>>31103828
Because we're fucking humans, and a mindset like yours would have kept us in the stone age.
Trips opens the box.
Quads win what's inside.

He'll probably have a heart attack before he can do anything.
>I guess Crispy Creme thinks he has a shot in 2020 when Hillary’s up for reelection.
One of the few times when an internet news story's comment section is actually reasonable.
>>31103510
t.defeatist faggot
Don't tread on me thread.
Why was American cold war tank design so god awful?
They had the British as their allies, why weren't they able to learn anything from the British Centurions?
while you have a LITTLE bit of a point here (i mean very little), i can just feel how bad of a thread this is going to be
>>31103173
Why are you such a homo?
>>31103173
What's bad about it? Honest question, tell me what arguments you have about them.
Alright, so a good friend of mine wants to get and AK and was looking into getting this RAS47 Magpul by Century Arms.
I'm a /v/irgin and have very little knowledge of guns, but I've heard that Century Arms is a little spotty. Is that true? What the best AK to get for sub $1000
Ras is shit. If he wants century, get a wasr.
>>31103156
>wasr
kys
>>31103158
No you moron, wasr is a great AK
you're now tasked with designing the new M4A2 rifle for the US military.
since they thought its better than replacing the A1s with w new rifle.
what do you do?
price must be below 2000$ with accessories and optics (if found necessary)
>>31103141
I spray paint them tan, add a shoulder thing that goes up and have chris kyle's ghost advertise them on national TV. Also seel a few to the civilian market but for a fuckton of monies so we're so exclusive & shit.
Basically, H&K 416K
>>31103141
Replace the FSB with a low-pro gas block, if I can, move it to mid-length instead of carbine position. Move the front handguard retainer to original rifle-length position. Throw in a flip-up front sight w/ rail grabber. Swap the A2 grip out for one of those "customizable" jobs with different widths, textures, etc. I think that'd do it.
>>31103222
would you make it full auto or 3rd burst?
Do you think its possible to build an ICBM that travels under water. Not a submarine launch platform but something like lets say china builds and launches a multi stage rocket. It travels under water across the Pacific ocean similar to a torpedo and then once its close enough to the intended country to bypass defense countermeasures it launches out of water and flies to the target. Say California. It could be radio controlled for the first stages to make sure it does not hit anything while in the water then switch to a targeting mechanism.
Just a thought. Is it feasible. Anyone want to build on the thought and tell me their thoughts.
RC is tough to do underwater
Yeah.
What does /k/ think about the Ares SCR?
>>31103052
Its neat
>>31103052
It shouldn't have to exist.
>>31103066
Is it any good? I am in a very restrictive state so I might buy a couple
>>31103116
Very true, but I am sure there is a market for people who like the featureless look at least.
I want to buy my son (12 years old right now) a gun so I can teach him gun safety and how to operate.
What should I get him? I want it to be something that's easy to fire for a boy but something he can also grow up with.
>>31102344
a pellet gun
10/22
or if you want a bolt gun
Marlin xt-22
>>31102351
Already bought him a Daisy pellet gun and Taught him about trigger discipline and never pointing it at people / things.
>>31102357
Thanks anon, I may get both of those actually.
