3 Day weekend motherfuckers (apologies in advance to those of you who have to work at some point during it)
Post your favorite /k/ related pics about anything. Guns, nukes, swords, planes, obscure weapons, forgotten battles, samurai armor for cats, whatever. You all have a collection, now let it shine
Don't respond to any shitposters, just dump and have fun

Without starting a thread war, which is better in a 'The Revolution Has Come" scenario, AR10 or AR15?
Acceptable replies are:
- AR10
- AR15
You can also add ONE comment as to why, e.g.:
- AR10 - better range
- AR15 - easier to find ammo
You guys DO know The Revolution is around the corner, right?
Either will work. Both will be needed.
At 10 because it's my fav gun to use in games.
Pick the one with the side mounted iron sights
How relevant are bayonets? Do they ever see much use at all? Are there any situations where having one could actually be useful anymore, or are they just an antiquated concept from a bygone age?
Does having a bayonet attached cause any loss of accuracy or other negative effects beyond just adding more weight to the end of your gun?
Would it be possible to have a freefloat barrel with a bayonet on it? Could that even be a feasible idea or would it just result in a bent, beat up barrel without the support of a full barrel shroud? Most of the time it just looks like the only way to get a bayonet on your AR-15 is to use the A2 style gas block because it's hard to find any other solution to include a bayonet lug, and most long handguards go far enough to make it impossible to affix a bayonet even if you had a lug for one on your gas block.
Apparently there is a video floating around of Canadians affixing bayonets during a section attack in afg. Probably a funker video
Is there anything stupider than a pistol bayonet?
They're still pretty useful

So prior to the ATF saying no more shouldering... did anyone find out how the Blade was as an improv stock compared to the Sig Brace? I'm just curious if that thin stick of plastic was actually good for anything in that regard.
It's better than the sig brace.
>so the ATF said
Go to a range, shoulder the brace or the blade
See who gives a fuck.
Shit, call the fucking ATF and have them come out and watch you. They won't care.

1920's so it's an outdated 100 year old standard...
Dammit Gary!

just like their political ideologies, it's horribly out of date and restricting.
Thinking of getting a Glock 26 soon. Anyone from/k/ own one ?
>>31199337
I own 1
No reason to get the 26 now that the 43 is out
>>31199337
i also own one, it is my most favorite glock over the 23 and the 43. all gen 4's. it's more fun to shoot than the others, and i have a silencerco suppressed barrel for it to go with the silencerco osprey suppressor
Galil SAR (5.56x45mm) vs AK74(5.45x39mm)
As both an all around better rifle and as a better choice for a standard issue infantry rifle.
thats a hard ass question, gonna have to go with the AK74, it has less recoil, weighs less, and isnt made by jews
>>31199234
Obvious Jew problem aside, the increase weight would allow it to have less recoil, along with its ambidextrous features would make it easier to use. Along with the iron sights featuring aperture sights allowing greater accuracy.
>>31199198
74 is cute!
Cute!

Janes BTFO
How the mighty has fallen, old Janes paperback books are considered accurate as fuck but then the current online journalists of Janes are at the level of tabloid journalism.
Their not even objective journalists, their NATO mouthpieces.

Russia is a joke, they can't afford to finish the program with an economy the size of fucking Mexico. PakFA is vaporware, like so many other Russian projects.
India just signed a Logistics Supply Agreement with US of A.
They are going to buy the F-35 now, might be one of the largest operators too considering their requirements. Without their money and orders PakFA is FINISHED.

That's just kind of sad.

Arsenal Thread!

Fuck you, OP. I'm jealous. I own a bunch of Milsurp guns, a lever gun in .30-30, a few 10/22s, and 2 black powder muzzleloaders
>i'm not even a yuro or australia fag, I'm just a poorfag in commiefornia
>>31198446
holy fuck them masuers. What guns do you use for carry?
Also r8? Missing my 500 and CZ75B
>>31198512
Most of the center fire pistols were older carry guns. I now carry my M&P9 IWB with a Steathgear Onyx holster. For backup, home/gym carry, i flipflop between the NAA, FIE, 42, and LCP.
Actually replaced the Shield with a M&P9c and sold the 442. Now added an FNX-9 to the collection. I'll be updating the pic as soon as my MPX gets back from getting its K-conversion done.
There is also a Rossi 20ga single shot and black powder 1858 .44 missing from the pic since they were having work done during the taking of this photo.
My unit has allowed for Tomahawks as a nod to neighboring first nations tribes so you bet your ass I'm getting one. It has to be max 18" total lenght, conservative in color and it has to be a Tomahawk, no double sided shit.
Suggestions? I was reading about the Colt X-1 which seems nice.
>>31198418
Get a SOG
>>31198418
How are you even going to carry it? Just on your pack?
>>31198912
On my tac vest
In a purely turn based fight what is the best airframe available?
Assume equal fuel and pilot capabilities, planes are at right angles and terrain masked. BVR is not an option as the pilots spot their target at the merge.
>>31198370
>implying dogfighting is even a thing anymore
>>31198381
>Radar can't see through terrain
>Radar can still only see a limited axis in front of the aircraft
>ROE still restricts BVR engagements in situations that aren't all out war.
> high off boresight and LOAL are a long way from being useful in a turn fight.
But yeah sure, there will never be another dogfight. Air forces just do it for fun.
>>31198370
hey there
What do you think of it?
>Also, general WH40k weapons thread
>>31198290
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Lasgun
>120-200 shot worth of battery power
>can be recharged using generators, heat, or even the sun
>power of a .22LR to a .50 cal depending on what setting it is on as well as fluff
>no recoil
Only problem is that is significantly under powered for the universe it is (that's the point though) and if someone lays down a smoke grenade or something it can reduce the power of the laser significantly.
>>31198339
Yeah, it is a great gun, but the fact that everything on WH40k is so god damn overpowered makes it useless.
Also, you forgot the best part:
>Battery can be recharged by:
>Other bateries
>Direct voltage
>Placing them into a fire
>Particularly strong sun

I would prefer a Krieg pattern
I need a pop up tent for infantry style bivouacking, most important aspects are it has to be waterproof and it has to be small, 1-2 person. I'm spending close to 90 days in the field so it would improve my quality of life quite a lot to have instant sleep whenever we get somewhere.
>>31198216
what is your spending cap?
>>31198216
Best option?

I agree with this its the only 4 season lightweight IR compliant tent available to citizens of the empire for under 1k
