Is paintball a good way to train for combat?
If the balls are frozen and you don't wear protective gear, maybe.
>>31389835
In terms of group cohesiveness and tactics? Possibly.
In terms of being ready for actual, genuine combat? Fuck no.
>>31389847
Is it important to build up pain tolerance to being shot? You sound like you've seen a lot of combat and tanked a lot of gunshots so please explain.
NYC is safe, nobody needs a gun there.
Wtf was on that dudes head?
Headlamp?

Today an F35 used its next generation integrated sensors to guide an SM 6 into a target over the horizon.
It can shoot down threats without firing a missile of its own.

I'm gonna bring this up next time I see somebody say that the Navy needs a new Tomcat replacement. The F-35C can perform fleet defense on a level far beyond the Tomcat if it can actually guide Standard Missiles towards targets that would normally be beyond range.
>>31389636
Whats the intercept time of a Tomcat firing its own missiles versus firing an SM-6 against a target cued by an F-35C 100nmi out?
Because the bomber doesn't actually matter. Its missiles do. If the SM-6 can't get there in time but a Pheonix fired from a Tomcat (or other CAP) already in the vicinity could, then there is a need.

Didn't Phoenix have trash accuracy?

You find out that an active shooter will show up at your next social outing and start blasting everyone. But you don't know exactly what time it will happen.
How do YOU handle the threat /k/?
by not going

I was generally against women in combat until watching this video; really puts an interesting perspective on it.
Sorry if this has already been posted.

If they can't meet the same standards, they don't need to be doing the same thing.

I think its just western women. The female forces of Kurdistan, 17.000 strong are doing fine against ISIS.
>>31389220
Woman from that part of the world have a completely different set of cultural expectations.
ITT: We post funs and fun accessories that we're thinking of buying and the rest of /k/ calls us a faggot for even considering it.

I want to use this with a Smart Carry holster or winter time carry as my first full sized handgun (have a p238 for regular pocket carry). I picked up and tried the FNS 9c but the magazine release wasn't that operative. You have to move the position of your hand in order to grip the mag release just right to make it fall. Whereas the full sized FNS didn't really feel that big to me, felt like a glove in my hand, works with my small hands, and I'm confident I can make it fit on me in some way.
Talk me out of it, /k/.
>inb4 Block 17
It's 100 cheaper than a Glock, has better night sights, and a better trigger.
Please try, /k/, I have no business buying this!
>>31389142
>Magazines are 40 bucks a pop.
>Tiny aftermarket because FN doesnt really give a fuck about civilian sales.
>Low replacement part availability. What if something breaks? How many stores have FNS replacement parts readily available?
>M&P line is around the same price and remedies all problems above except mag cost
I've heard good things about it and I wouldnt mind owning one though.

Well .308 was a mistake over .280 British so you're not totally wrong
Anything bad about these shotguns or the browning bps? Looking at bottom eject as I ama lefty.
Some people hate on the Ithaca 37 because:
1) It has only one transfer bar instead of two (But do you actually need two? No.)
2) You can't do a quick reload where you load a shell straight into the chamber.
Other than that, they're good to go.
>>31387422
no their is no problem, they are solid guns.
>>31387550
Yes you can load one in the chamber, as long as your not a idiot
T90 vs M1
Who's better and why?
>>31386983
The A-10 is better.
/thread
>>31386983
T-90. The 105mm on the M1 Abrams isn't getting through frontally, period. And 125mm ammunition has advanced from the 80s.
M1.
The T-90 is a T-72 with a fancier turret with newer sensors on it.
Couldn't even make it past the water. Was a shit show from there on.
Glock reigns supreme.

"dont take these test too seriously, its non scientific"
Leave it to /k/ to blow every single torture test out of proportion
jesus christ
>>31386439
Real world tests rarely are scientific. That's what makes them real world.
The gun couldn't handle being dunked in water. Not mud, not sand. not dirt, but pure clean drinking water caused the gun to fail on the first shot and then completely fail on the second round of tests.

>The residue comes from Tannerite and may be important as authorities probe whether the blast was connected to the unexploded pressure-cooker device found by state troopers just blocks away, as well as the pipe bomb blast in New Jersey.
Welp, say goodbye to your tannerite, /k/.
>>31385992
they might be able to ban tannrite by name but at this point there really arent any more restrictions they can put on ammonium nitrate or aluminum powder, both of which are legal and used extensively in many other industries.
besides, everyone is getting to the point where we're tired of our rights being infringed upon in the name of pretending the problem is availability of danferous shit instead of the government facilitating muslim terrorism
>>31385992
i'm not buying any tannerite, or whatever else you are selling.
What about pressure cookers?
Who the hell NEEDS a pressure cooker, anyway?
They should totally ban these, we're up to hundreds of people now injured or killed with these things.
Oh, and wait. Cars. And kitchen knives. And baseball bats. And crowbars. And beer bottles. And gasoline. And pipe wrenches.
