It's finally out; it's only a half-episode, because the other half is partly dependent on the LRIP 9 / 10 aircraft costs being announced and they've been repeatedly delayed.
James the robot voice (http://www.oddcast.com/home/demos/tts/tts_example.php) is back, but I have some guys from another channel doing a human dubbed version as well.
Episode 5 is half done, but again, I'm waiting for the LRIP 9/10 contracts to be signed (which supposedly should be happening before the end of the year).

first Vietnam part was a bit long and could have been more punctual on making it's points more apparent, really liked the ejection explanation was frankly fantastic and very detailed. overall fantastic work my dude.

>>31438577
Good work. Solid explanation on the ejection seat, especially with the helmet weight details I didn't even know.
As for the Vietnam A2A explanation, it was very solid for a complex topic which could take 20 minutes all on it's own. For those that haven't read Revolt of the Majors or any other solid papers on the matter, it should be a good eye opener. You might want to consider linking (annotation or in comments?) some further reading and sources on that, especially some of those primary/secondary documents you showed. I didn't recognize one of those tables, so even I'd be interested.
I came onto /k/ to learn about guns so I can make an educated purpose when I have some money saved up. I see this insane love for the AR series. What makes them such exceptional rifles? Why do so many people like them?

Is there even a comparable 5.56/.223 platform with the same quality for about 800 dollars?

Came from a nofunz family, not leftist, just suburbanites.
Got into military history at a young age. Really wanted guns. Got into politics, God bless the 2A. Went to college, did first year of ROTC, shot actual rifles. Summer job, got money, bought Mosin.
Became hazguns.
Just bought my AR a week ago. Wanted to scoop one up for the Great Happening.

I have a BoB but I'm planning on bugging in.
I have land I am already farming, we have a few animals (chickens mostly) and two beehives. My basement is going to act as the """"TOC"""" should I ever need to. Other than that I'm probably going to be pretty comfortable.
I'm gonna shoot some new pics tomorrow.

Are you joining the Coast Guard? why?
How does the ethos of the coast guard differ from the navy?

I was in USCGSO (us coast guard special ops) between 2007-2015. Had 6 deployments to the persian gulf. Can't say much more than that.
It's Friday night, we should enjoy ourselves, especially if we're just sitting on /k/
Let's play Roll For Your Own U-boat!
How it works:
>Make a post in this thread
>The last three digits of your post will be your U-boat
>Take those three numbers and go to this link:
http://uboat.net/boats/finder.php
>Type the numbers in, this'll give you your boat's history.
>Come back here and post on your original post the fate of your U-boat (copy and paste works better than summing it up, more fun too)
>Revel in the glory or sulk in the shame of your boat's fate
Let's play!

OP here, I'll go off of my thread number:
This boat was not commissioned into the Kriegsmarine
However she had been ordered and was, at least at one time, planned for commission.

http://www.defensenews.com/articles/f-35a-damaged-in-fire-at-air-force-base
>The incident took place at around noon and involved an F-35A aircraft from the 61st Fighter Squadron located at Luke Air Force Base, the service said in a statement. No serious injuries seem to have been sustained by the pilot or nearby crew.
>"The pilot had to egress the aircraft during engine start due to a fire from the aft section of the aircraft," Air Force spokesman Capt. Mark Graff said in an email. "The fire was extinguished quickly.
Damage is unknown, but should be relatively minor (there's still a high probability it'll be a Class A mishap though).
Cause is unknown, but it could be a hot start (during the early stages of engine start-up, fuel flow is excessive and when the fuel ignites, temperatures rapidly rise due to the lack of bypass airflow from the engine fan). The FADEC should prevent that though. Overall there's quite a few things that could have gone wrong. F-35s have flown roughly 70,000 flight hours to date; there's a first time for everything, but I think at this stage there's a reasonable chance that human error could have caused the issue, similar to the coolant line insulation issue (which is unlikely to be related to this).

>Dragon beating all the vatniks to the punch by just posting it himself.
I like the way you operate.
Wait... what? A malfunction occurred with an aircraft that's still basically in the prototyping stages of its life?
WHEN HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED??
>>31436370
Excessive fuel flow should make it run cooler, though. You're only going to burn as much fuel as you have air available, and the rest evaporates and takes heat with it.

thinking of going full slavshit with team 2.
Just started replaying ROTCW...forgot how much I loved that game.
Good taste OP, if they made a game like Raven Shield but with modern graphics and ballistics I can die a happy man.
Also I love the early 2000's weapons in the game, before everything became a generic AR clone. Also I always outfit my guys in OD green. Besides that I outfit each member with a different weapon for fun variation, but I always go with silenced 10mm MP5 w/ hollowpoints.
