So, I just picked up a wide handguard for my Cetme. It doesn't fit. It looks like the barrel thicker as the hand guard gets wedged on the barrel right behind the front sight post.
Can I get it to fit by removing a little material from the hand guard?
>>31520655
pics? Put the handguard up to the underside and post pics of where it's not fitting.
>>31520655
How do you like your Cetme? Is it the 308 or 556 one?
Just started looking at them in 308, seem to be easier to find and cheaper than a FAL. Is your's century arms?
>>31520750
Get a PTR, the welds on the Cetme are shitty. I didn't believe it until I compared the two at my local fun store. The PTR welds are much cleaner and the rear sight on the Cetme is cringe worthy.
Could this stupid thing even work?
Sure. Its basically a G11, but with the mag in a less shoot-your-fingers-off location. Even has the same cocking mechanism.
>>31520558
No, it only ever made it to the mock-up stage, no working prototypes.
Could it have worked in the future if it continued in development? Maybe, but probably not well enough to hit procurement, we still haven't overcome all of the problems with caseless ammo.
>>31520573
>basically a G11
Except it was never developed to a working state.
>less shoot-your-fingers-off
Especially since it couldn't shoot.
>has the same cocking mechanism.
Except it doesn't cock anything.
>>31520624
>Except it was never developed to a working state.
That doesn't prevent conclusions from being made based on what is known of what was intended. The Magpul PDW was only ever a piece of plastic, but we know that could have worked.
Is there any reason to buy or use a mini-14 instead of an AR these days? Does the mini-14 even qualify as a 'weapon' in any real sense of the word?
>Is there any reason to buy or use a mini-14 instead of an AR these days?
A-team fetish.
>Does the mini-14 even qualify as a 'weapon' in any real sense of the word?
Probably

Pic related. Its my scattergat.
>>31520359
Doable, but that's gonna require some gunsmithing, how much are you comfortable doing?
>>31520359
There's this

Never really done much gunsmithing but I'm sure I can handle it with tutorials.
So, Israel DLC is dropping soon.

How do you feel about the current balance of Wargame, particularly where verisimilitude is concerned?
With Jews you lose
With Finns you win
With Yugo you no-go
Maglav too OP
Not sure if this thread really belongs on /k/. Regardless, I'm still trying to get a feel for which decks I work well with. I've been trying variations of Blue Dragon decks so far, and I've found their mech to be pretty good at most things. As for current balance overall, I don't have many grips other than the obviously broken naval system and how annoying aa choppers on both sides are.
>>31520302
/v/ is too toxic
/vg/ it dies
only /k/ gives a shit about this precisely enough for an occassional thread to be worthwhile
it's on topic so long as we sperg over the weapons innit
Blue Dragons is pretty underpowered right now. Never play naval, use SPAAGs.

What are the plans for commercial aircraft in a WW3 scenario? Thousands of airworthy planes aren't just going to be grounded and left to rot, right?
CRASHING THIS PLANE
>>31520001
Fly them into sand ape cubes.
That's exactly what will happen, they will rot. Civilian Aircraft require extensive service, are expensive to operate, and have extremely little use in military application. Furthermore, most countries worth a damn have their own military transports for these kinds of things. If the civilian airports are shut down due to war, so will commercial aircraft.
Completely different is ships, every cruise ship, tanker, or cargo ship can be drafted for service and utilized for various military applications. It's just not that way with commercial aircraft.
Sup /k/
German /k/amerad here. Recently I acquired an old scope but didn't have any mounts. So since I have neither machining skills nor access to a mill, lathe or at least a drill I decided to click together something in the CAD software at university and print it out.
This first iteration is to find out if the PLS material will withstand 8mm Mauser recoil and if the parts measurements are at least remotely accurate. So far I am satisfied with some minor exceptions.
Two major weaknesses exist: the riser is too large. This is due to my decision to not include settings for elevation and windage, which is the second weakness. The idea was that if the mount fails under recoil with the riser just being a massive part it will also fail if the riser has moving parts for windage and elevation. Also I had no time left, hence just extrudes two rectangles without paying much attention to measurements.
Tomorrow I will give it a try at the range.
Feedback and suggestions for improvements are more than welcome. Especially easy ways to measure slopes and circles

Very.
Do only the Russians make these?
Did the Ukies or the Pols ever produce any?
If so that would mean there is hope they will make it over somehow.
So Hillary Clinton has told donors that she opposes the LRSO, which would replace the current nuclear cruise, the ALCM. This would leave us without a nuclear cruise missile. How could the US Air Force deal with this major capability gap?
The B-21 Raider is meant to carry the LRSO, which the Air Force is insistent is necessary for the B-21 to threaten every inch of the globe through the 2050s or more. Does the Air Force push for the rumored 2037 Heavy Bomber to be hypersonic?
Not having a nuclear cruise missile is a big deal. That would limit the B-21 Raider to dropping conventional nuclear weapons. It is also not clear if Clinton opposes the entire LRSO program, which will produce a vitally needed conventional cruise missile too, or just the nuclear warhead armed cruise missiles.
I am very opposed to cancelling the LRSO. The US decreased its strategic arsenal in the 90s in the hope that Russia would follow suit and it has done the opposite. China is also without a doubt developing similar capabilities.
