What do folks here know about everyone's favorite Mach 4, quiet-booming, borane-burning skunk works sensation?
Absolutely nothing. Tell me more. No, I won't google it.

>Borane-Burning
Colour me dubious
/k/ I need your help
My Yugo SKS has been stovepiping alot recently. It used to happen once every 300 rounds or so, now it's suddenly happening every other round. Ammo is just cheap slavshit Wolf, but I've been using that for years with no issues.
The stovepiping causes a jam when feeding to, so bad I need to use a rock to bang the charging handle back and move the bolt to the open position.
What could be causing this? I miss my reliable innawoods raifu. She was my first /k/, I don't wanna lose her
Pic is her and her younger sister (she's adopted)
>>31655635
Sorry for twisted pic, phone has been stupid with photos lately
Is it clean? My type 56 had a little cosmoline leftover on the magazine follower and it caused stovepipes.
>>31655699
Clean as she can be. How loose should the magazine follower wiggle? mine stays up and doesn't tilt told until I touch it, but needs no force to move
Redpill me on off body carry? Is the big taboo just a scam to sucker people into buying smaller pistols or is it legit? Is there any way at all to make off body carry workable?
>>31655554
>Is there any way at all to make off body carry workable?
No.
>>31655554
>off body carry
What is this
>>31655573
it's when you keep your carry gun in your fanny pack/backpack/hip pack and accidentally leave it somewhere, now your carry is completely off your body.
Why doesn't the US have internal military convoys between bases? I've never seen an armor column on a US highway, or infantry formations moving from city to city
For what purpose?
>>31655438
Because trains.
>>31655438
Probably because some tinfoil 'preppers might panic and occupy another bird sanctuary

If after Libya anyone hasn't realized Obama is a globalist warmonger, not to mention after all the Syria bullshit, I don't know what to tell you.
Nobel Peace Prize, my ass.
your attacking the objective and all of a sudden, "wait a second wheres 2 platoon?"
what do?
or when your girlfriend calls you and your at a whore house
>>31655336
We have lost objective butter
>>31655353
but why would she call you if your at her house?
where do you buy your AR15 parts? Looking to make an AR15, but with so many websites i don't know where to start. I want a Daniel Defense inspired AR without the cost of a Daniel Defense Handguard. Unless it's worth it? Anybody got experience with that?
>>31655313
rainier arms, weapon outfitters, primary arms, and operation parts all have good shit. If you want a DD, save up and get the DD parts, otherwise you'll just be settling and will end up getting the DD shit later on, but then you'll also be stuck with shitty used garbage parts that you cant sell.
>>31655364
fuck
how much was your build?
i guess you're right. it's just i live in a shitty state so i wasn't sure whether or not i should do it.
>>31655380
My current build is pretty expensive, but honestly aesthics were important to me. You can put up most of your money into the upper if you wanted to get a complete DD upper. This wouldnt be a bad idea because you get a CH, BCG, great barrel and great handguard all together. You could then be more frugal with the lower, which is less important to the function so long as its milspec.
What is the next new hot memegun I can get before it takes over this board?
>meme from the start
1911
Taurus Judge
>old busted memeguns
Mosin Nagant
SKS
Ruger 10/22
>at peak of memegun status
AR-15
Maverick 88
So what will it be? Turkish Mauser? Mini-30? I want OG memegun status
>>31655262
>>31655262
I keep hearing people talk about surplus mausers for under 300 (yugo, Turk) but idk how easy it is to find 8mm
>>31655317
This
I know everyone is saying the Mosin is an expired meme, but 7.62x54 sure isn't
>Missiles pointing inwards
Would this be a problem? It seems Russia does not use rulers or something. What if they just buy Chinese?
b8
>>31655248
How so?
It's most likely a fix for some aerodynamic issue with missiles launching themselves into the plane or some shit, like when the F-18 was in development it lobbed a bomb up and back at a trailing F-4 due to aerodynamics fucking with the bomb's path. All the hard points on F-18's are now canted out a few degrees to deal with that.
what is the general consensus on .950JDJ
It's a meme round.
>>31655201
I mean is having a shoulder really that great???
>>31655201
Build a rocket into the back of the round, and you have a boltgun
Are there any circumstances where U.S. Army troops are allowed to wear their berets while in full battle rattle / out on patrol? Like could the Rangers go on patrol wearing tan berets, SF with their green berets, etc.?
Yeah, on gay ass photo ops. Just like what you've got pictured in your OP.
>>31655165
those are FFL tho
only if the mission is to achieve maximum swag points
Opinions on a double barrel 12 gauge coach gun, loaded with 00 bucksot with 5 rounds in the side saddle, for home defense..with a 44 magnum for back up
>>31654920
yep, they're both guns. they'll both kill people.
>>31655081
well duh
Outside of style points, I don't see why you need a double barrel when you can have a pump.

/k/ likes vigilante communities, right?
/k/ talks a lot about how they would fight the cartels, here's how one town did it.
>"We've learnt a lot," says Heriberto Campos, one of the founders and the co-ordinator of the Ronda Comunitaria whose nickname is "Diablo" or "Devil". "In those early days, we didn't know anything about using guns. But now we know how to fight, and if the criminals come back, we're ready for them."
>>31654917
good for them. in some places theyre doing it just with single shot shotguns
>letting people know your real name in a country with literally thousands of full time hitmen
But yeah, basically a neighborhood watch with good weapons handling.
I have to guess PT wouldn't be important because you have to defend such a small area.
It would actually be a lot like base security in the military.
>>31654938
>good for them. in some places theyre doing it just with single shot shotguns
The OP pic has an AR front and centre but if you look, several guys have single-shot shotguns.
So /k/ I dont come here often, but I need some /adv/ice
I want to build an AR-15, but I only shoot shotguns so I really am not sure what to get
I am going to machine an 80%. I heard those are pick-the-color tier where quality isn't really an issue, but maybe I'm wrong
Who makes a decent upper? BCM is expensive but I know you get what you pay for. Is it worth it to get a piston system or not for someone like me?
What kind of sights? Anything special or just Iron? And are Red Dots a meme or are they something worth looking into. I know Holos are great but I'm not dropping $500 on a sight for my first AR
Also my brother wants one, so can I machine him a lower and just say he did it or what? Have him come to the shop and press the button on the CNC?
And what other attachments and upgrades are worth it? I probably will get a flashlight, just in case people who are hard to see try to break in. Also, Quad rail, keymod or what?
Also post pics of yours
>>31654896
>Red dots
Red dots make shooting in close quarters much faster and easier. With the fact the you don't need to properly line up your sights, as you would with irons, having a proper cheek weld or sight alignment is no longer an issue. They are simply more effective.
At range and from a bench, red dots and irons are about tied.
>Flashlight
If you want an HD gun, that's an exceptional idea
>Handguard
I'd steer away from quad rails personally. They aren't terribly comfortable and are built for mass scale military use with lots of attachments.
A Magpul handguard is somewhat generic, but is comfortable and gives you easy attachment options.
A standard plastic M4 type handguard is great in the hands and can be modified for a flashlight mount with a tiny bit of DIY.
A free float tube handguard with attachable rail sections is a little more expensive but comfortable and gives you a lot of attachment options.
After that is get a 2-point adjustable sling.
VFG/AFG/handstop stuff is a lot of personal choice shit and you should hold off getting any of it until you shoot more with your AR.
>>31654983
>Red dots
Any good brand or just go on amazon and get something decent?
>2-point adjustable
No, I'm not going far with one, don't need it
>Quad rails
I just want to easily put on a vfg and attach lights. I don't want to have to do much work
>magpul
Not sure what that is, ill look that up
thanks
>>31655083
>Red dots
Bushnell TRS-25, something made by Primary Arms, or something made by Vortex will be your "cheap but ok" tier of red dot. They won't have the durability or battery life of an Aimpoint, but are 1/4 the price.
>Sling
Slings are good for retention and generally nice to have.
>Rails
You can get rails if you want. There are a lot of options though. The Magpul handguards have rail section inserts that are very easy to work with. You can also attach a Magpul VFG directly to their handguard without using a rail.
Again, I'd hold off on the VFG/AFG/ any of that until you shoot with the AR.
For a flashlight situation, you could also just use a plastic handguard, and then get a cheapo barrel clamp and put the light mounted from the barrel. It will look cheap as fuck, but work (pic related, not mine).
whats /k/s opinion on the M&P 15 sport II?
thinking of buying one because im poor and want an AR and nutn likes it. also im new to AR-15s.
>>31654793
I was you a month ago. I got the Sport II. Works great, no problems as of yet. Only put like 150 rounds through it though.
>>31654793
It's scary
>>31654793
How much do these cost? Thinking of getting a second cheap AR so I can send mine away for some custom work and not be AR-less
