Threadly reminder that yes, s400 and similar systems can hit f35s and similar systems. They can, in theory, turn on their x-band radars and pump enough electricity into the things to acquire locks on stealthed targets at various ranges. This does no, however, mean that by virtue of doing so that said stealth targets(or anything with a radar facing the general direction, really) won't be able to see and respond to the lighthouse of electromagnetic radiation this action creates from signifficantly farther distances. This is based, as I'm sure you all know by now, on the law of inverse returns. In a sense, the entire purpose of stealth aircraft.

Except the S-400 already operates on X-band, and no, you mean VHF but VHF isn't used as an targeting and acquisition radar. VHF will detect stealth planes with little to no effort

But no, the S-400 has no such radar that can detect stealth aircraft, the radar does not operate on applicable bandwidths, and even if it did, it would be particularly useless for actually trying to preform a shootdown.
