C.U.C.K.
C.U.C.K.
what? I thought colt went bankrupt. why are they making new shit?
Hey /k/ is anyone into archery? Couldn't find an archery thread.
I wanted to get into it and was curious what you guys knew about where to start with a starter bow, draw weight, etc etc.
I kinda wanted a recurve because I hate the way modern bows look. They're worst than mall commando ARs. Too much shit hanging off of them.
Just fiddle with some in a shop and keep in mind whatever draw weight you get will become "too weak" once you get used to it so buy the heaviest that you can manage because your body will adjust fairly quickly
>>31736399
Forgot to mention practice with cheap arrows because you will definitely fuck up your first bundle you buy
photobomb edition

RUSSIA STRONG!
>>31736029
>Carrier
>Not nuclear
>Ski jump not flattop
>Only have one
>Strong
kek
>>31736117
American Carrier have all this:
>Supporting Islamist Dogs
Russian Carrier has nothing of this:
>Bombing Islamist Dogs
Hmm... Really makes you think
>>31736135
Kuznetsov has no ground attack aircraft.
How important do think it is to be able to completely disassemble a firearm? For example, for cleaning or spring replacement... Do you ever base purchase decisions on how easy it is to detail strip a given firearm?
Can you disassemble any of your guns to the last pin, and if not, do you have any desire to learn how to?
>>31735980
>How important do think it is to be able to completely disassemble a firearm?
not very important as long as you can access enough to keep it working its fine
>Do you ever base purchase decisions on how easy it is to detail strip a given firearm?
no
>Can you disassemble any of your guns to the last pin
yes
>>31735980
>Can you disassemble any of your guns to the last pin
The real question is, can you disassemble ALL of your guns to the last pin.
>>31736060
I can for all that im able. Fnx wont...
Memes aside, what is the most versatile and practical sidearm/rifle combo for normal life and a SHTF situation?
9mm handgun, probably polymer for weight savings, and leaning on the small side.
g19.
.308, semiautomatic rifle. preferably something a little more on the accurate side.
ar10 build
in shtf, you should be trying to run away from almost every firefight. a .308 has a little more versatility than a .223, even thought id much rather have an ar15 for war. honestly, you could swap out the .308 for a shotgun for even more versatility
>>31736074
Thanks.
SCAR 17S + Glock 19
Why doesn't the USA's armed forces use this glorious handgun?
>>31735885
what do they use
why not the 85 combat?
>>31735885
Are pistols really that useful?
Has anyone built a 10/22 from a 80% receiver? I would like to know how hard it is I've already built a at 15 from a 80%
>>31735800
But why? That seems like an unnecessary route about things.
why would you need to? the thing's like $200, and isn't a scary black salt rifle. I don't see why you cant just buy it
>>31735800
It's a lot harder and much more precise, especially when drilling and threading for the barrel. Stick to ARs if you don't have much work machining,
Anyone here have a specific gun fetish?
I personally like small/ folding guns.
>>31735779
I have a thing for guns that can shoot multiple calibers with little or no modification. Pic related.
>>31735779
have you considsered getting a mini draco?
>>31735808
Yes I have. Limited funds for the funs currently. Would probably get something basic like pic related.
Do AKs need the same dwell time like ARs to cycle or is pic related just as reliable as a full size?
Alright /k/, I've been looking at some different 9mm's to buy, and I'm pretty torn right now. The only things I'm set on are that it must have a 4 inch barrel at least, hold at least 15 rounds in the standard magazine, and I want it to be SA/DA. Money isn't really an issue, but I'm not looking to drop over a grand on it. Which has lead me to a couple of choices.
>CZ P09
>HK P30L
I'm curious what other recommendations are out there. Also, if anybody has any experience with the P09, I'm curious how the slide actually is as far as ease of racking quickly, given how short it is.
>>31735764
I have a P-07. You get use to the slide, and it's a non issue with the slide locked back. The controls are large and easy.
>>31735887
I've considered doing the CZ75B instead of the P09, and I guess the 3 round trade off wouldn't be a huge deal if I'm being honest.
The Putin-worshiping faggots on /pol/ often like to spout that the deployment of Russian SAM systems to Syria effectively makes them unstoppable. They'll insist they can shoot down any NATO aircraft without fail and that stealth is useless, and that all the Russian pilots in Syria are aces or something that will pwn them all in a dogfight and the larger airforces of Turkey mean nothing because cruisie missiles will rain down form the sky and obliterate every Turkish airfield. Also the reverse will apparently not work because the glorious S400 will also shoot down any American cruise missile without fail. This apparently makes the Russian forces in Syria invincible except vie ground invasion, at which point they'll start making up stupid shit about how the Turkish Army is dogshit and they will never defeat the 5000-man Russian force no matter how many troops they send.
Despite the nonsense, I am genuinely curious how good these things are and what would be required to eliminate them, and I'm too lazy to look it up myself so, I ask /k/.
>>31735708
Probably pretty good. The ruskies have always been better at the whole AA thing since they focused way more on conventional ground forces more than force projection through air power during the cold war
Different doctrines breed different focuses on certain technologies. No weapon system is ultimate but the Russians/Soviets have always put alot of R/D into various different strategic and tatical AA
>>31735708
Fact of the matter is that Russian air defense systems in Syria have made the idea of enforcing a NFZ in support of Al Qaeda untenable, and have caused the Americans to be caught with their pants down defending what are universally recognized as terrorists everywhere.
Putin is playing 5D chess while the Harvard educated lawyers and Think Tank Jews haven't the slightest idea what to do.
>>31735708
those of us in usa wouldnt know because we dont have a free press that would report truthfully on such things
Anyone here have an experience with carbine uppers? My kneejerk opinion is that they are silly nonsense. But it's possible I'm wrong.
I kind of want one after the past couple of days.
They are range toys, but they are cool range toys.
I hear the ones that accept a 1911 lower are better because 1911 triggers are better.
I've heard a lot of rumors about gasmasks having lead or asbestos in the filters, and im curious if the german m65 filters are safe to use.
>>31735538
Here's a handy guide for that.
the tl;dr rule of thumb sort of thing is that Soviets stopped using asbestos already in 60s. Yanks quite a while later.
If the can's made during 80s or after Cold War, it is mostly alright. Not that you should use 20+ yo cans in the first place for any "real" protection anyway; just grab a pair of new filters for something like 20 bucks, cheapest.
>>31735538
Don't bother with milsurp masks unless you just want to cosplay or some shit.
Buy a 3M halfmask and filters for whatever you expect to run into, and a pair of goggles.
>>31735598
Holy shit, dunno how that image got THAT rotten. Here's less pixelated version.
Under what conditions can i own a full auto fun im new to america and i want to know muh freedoms but i heard some old lady banned them in the 80s
You can only buy a machinegun made before 1986, process from purchase to stamp approval typically takes 1-6 months. Prices are extremely high (think $10,000+)
>>31735547
So its illegal to buy a full auto that was made today
>>31735571
You have to be a gun dealer for that
