>co-worker at work thinking of getting a gun for protection
>Alright what did you have in mind?
>Probably a .45 for the stopping power.
>Why that and not a 9mm or 40?
>Because if someone runs into my apartment I want to shut my bedroom door on them and shoot through the wall, so I want something that will penetrate.
>Okay, any particular model in mind?
>Probably an XD, either the compact or the full size. See I want to conceal carry it with me but I'll want the extra rounds in the "clip" if I'm in a shoot-out.
>...Okay. This store that you're buying from, do you plan on getting any training?
>Nah, I'm just going to buy some ammo in bulk and practice with it. I'm pretty good naturally with shooting and it's just like "call of duty" for me so I'll be fine.
>Okay, I know you like the .45 but I'd recommend a compact for CCW and 9mm or 40 for more rounds.
>Nah man, I want a round that will shoot their arm off in one shot.
>(I explain how if you need to shoot you want to shoot more than one bullet)
>I'll just shoot them once and if I see that it doesn't stop them I'll shoot them again.
>(I explain why that's a bad idea, use 21 foot rule as an example)
>Then I'll just shoot the knife out of their hand.
>(go over realistic and legal concerns. Insist on magdump in that situation)
>Dude I don't want to kill anyone. I'll just shoot to disable them. Bro you're telling me that a .45 to your arm wouldn't stop you in your tracks?
So that was my day /k/. How was yours?
>in before bullshit, bait, cool story bro, fagbook, tumblr, etc.
>>31885660
Your coworker is retarded, but you are also retarded. You're just slightly less retarded.
>>31885660
Don't be a fucking caliber snob. .45 kills just fine.
>>31885660
Friends don't recommend .40 to other friends.
Are the FBI HRT considered operators?
>The HRT was originally conceived during the late 1970s, and was set up after FBI director William H. Webster witnessed a demonstration by the U.S. Army's Delta Force. When Webster reviewed the equipment used by the Delta Force and noticed there were no handcuffs, he inquired about it. An operator grimly replied, "We put two rounds in their forehead. The dead don't need handcuffs." The HRT was originally to be an augmented SWAT and counter-terrorist team, capable of handling extraordinary hostage situations, large-scale counter-terrorist operations, situations involving nuclear or biological agents, or operations that local law enforcement or the regional FBI field office were not trained or equipped to handle.
>>31885361
If you're a cop you should have handcuffs. If you don't have handcuffs, you need to call yourself military, or at best part military, you are no longer a Law Enforcement branch.
>>31885393
wow thanks for the quality retard post.
>>31885361
anyone know what kind of magazine that guy has? looks to be 9mm
How does /K/ prepare for possible Anarchy after a major sports victory?
Given that stuff like Vancouver happens from time to time. What are some possible tips and tricks to keep safe after a major victory or loss?
> In b4 "just don't be in the city
Stay inside like the gross weeb 80% of the people on this site do.
Let's say hypothetically you want to go out and enjoy the festivities but then things start to get a little hairy.
Hard mode: You're wearing a brightly colored team jersey.
Beast mode: Firearms

No firearms*
War is hell thread.
Specifically looking for WWI webms. Especially ones that appear in this video, but without the red filter; I know I've seen them posted here.
Half-assedly dumping until then. Almost entirely WWI stuff
>>31885316
Fucking forgot the link to the video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4Pd527GN48
Is this a clip or a magazine?
>>31885275
Both are clips, however, the left is an en bloc clip and the right is a stripper clip
>>31885290
/thread
>>31885275
It's bait.
Fifty thousand people used to live in this city.
Now it's a ghost town.
I've never seen anything like it.
>>31885147
Jesus, CoD4 is almost 10 years old isn't it?
I remember CoD 2.
God I'm old.
>>31885147
It is home of the /k/ubes brother, the wish granter.
Plant your 10 claymores around the ferris wheel
You should have picked up the G3 and have max ammo in addition to the M21
C4 around the entrance
Stay on the ferris wheel
that mission is hard on vet
I was just wondering if one is accepted as better
I am more of an FN typed guy myself

This reminds me of when one significant other makes a statement/question that's obviously just them goading the other into a fight. Theeeen, they get pissy when the other one actually starts the fight they obviously wanted.
What the fuck do you want dude? This is the internet. These are two popular, competing products. Nothing good will come of this. There have been more threads about this in the history of threads than 9mm VS 45.
They're both good. Do research, pick one. Eventually save up to buy both. Have a good day.
>>31884979
This is an interesting question. I also have an interesting question, I was just wondering if boatsluts, propellerwhores, or tankharlots are superior?
>>31884979
They are both shit compared to the 416 or Scar.
Pointless argument
i saw a bunch of grown fucking men this halloween dresses up in half-assed military outfits (dress uniforms and cammies). Half dressed sluts (mostly harley quins) were fawning over them every fucking time. When does this cross the line into Stolen Valor? Because I wanted to quiz the fuck out of them on the basics just to make them feel like shit.
Who pretends to be an enlistedfag?
It doesn't even make sense.
>>31884738
It was Halloween, you autistic faggot.
And it's not stolen valor until they receive (or try too) something for their "valor"
>>31884746
because everyone wants to fuck a hero everydayman, not some college cuck who works at a desk
I know the seals did it but the Military is out of their fucking mind if they adopt the Glock 19 as their main sidearm. It is not a good fit for military use.
1.It's not as accurate as the M9 was or as capable as longer ranges. While this might not be an issue for law enforcement where most engagements occur at 7yds. It should be considered a survival weapon in the military. Think of a pilot who is shot down. What do you want him to carry? a full sized field pistol capable at killing a man at 50m, or a shitty polymer police gun
2.Glocks are not comfortable for most people. Most people have to learn them. Seeing that military personel get literally no pistol training, this will not bode well for them.
3. torture tests are not enough for the military. These things are going to passed between more 18 year olds then a goddamn homecoming queen. If these grunts can manage to break an M9, let alone many M9s, what do you think will happen to glocks?
4.Longevity. How many Gen 1 glocks do you see around these days? Hell you can barely find any pre gen-3 glocks on the market these days. yet there are 70s Berettas that still function great.
It weights far less, goes bang when you squeeze it, and is rarely used.
>>31884734
>It weights far less, goes bang when you squeeze it, and is rarely used.
this makes it great for civillian and law enforcement, but terrible for military use.
>>31884677
>implying a pilot has any range training with it anyway
>implying they can shoot more accurately than the gun
>implying the M9 is more accurate than a glock
Herp Derp anon
I accidentally did some shit and I have s shells trying to be chambers at once
Pic related
Why did you.. how did this happen anon?
2 shells
I don't know what the shell happened but I need some assistance
Been thinking about grabbing a MAS-36 rifle for a while now, though I have been contemplating getting a latter model MAS-49 rifle. Any problems that you guys know to be present with the 36? And if so, would it be better to go with the 49 instead?
>>31884583
Get both.
>>31884583
If it's in 7.5 it'll be difficult to get ammo for.
>>31884741
Just reload.
Especially 500 rounds of .22lr for $8
How is his advice anyways. He recommends a semi auto rifle in .308 for your main fighting rifle
>>31884506
I have an old box of .308 Winchester Super-X ammo from the 90's. Price sticker on the box is $9.79, so at least all things haven't gotten inflated like nuggets have.

What's even sadder is looking at old firearm catalogs from the 60's...
What would be a good shoulder holster for a SW 686 with a 4 inch barrel?
Holsters general I guess.
>>31884443
Also, what are some good but still cheap speed loaders.
Obligatory fedora meme.
>>31884670
Well not sure how it is fedora status but I used to own a trilby.
>In simple terms, the Pentagon got sick and tired of talking with Lockheed and told them, here’s how much we’re willing to pay you. Take it or leave it. All terms had been agreed to by both sides except one — the price. This may well be the largest unilateral contract ever issued by the United States government. That’s what I’ve heard from two well informed sources, but we don’t have anything definitive yet.
>“The definitized contract for LRIP 9 announced today was not a mutually agreed upon contract, it was a unilateral contract action, which obligates us to perform under standard terms and conditions, and previously agreed-to items,” Lockheed’s F-35 spokesman Mike Rein said in an emailed statement. “We are disappointed with the decision by the Government to issue a unilateral contract action on the F-35 LRIP 9 contract.”
>Lt. Gen Chris Bogdan, head had indicated some frustration with the slow pace of contract discussions but also said he thought they’d have a deal by the end of the year at the Air Force association’s annual conference in September.
>DellaVedova said the latest contract equated to a 3.7% average reduction in price from LRIP 8 in December 2014.

Lockmart on suicide watch.
So approximately $91.5 million for an F-35A? Lockheed should be happy with that unless they've got absolutely horrific overhead with their subcontractors.
>>31884430
Can we cancel this fucking thing? Accept that stealth is a sham and multirole is retarded?
$790 shipped. Is it worth paying this much for a wasr 10 with 1 mag to beat the hype before Shillary is inevitably elected?
wow its finally back in stock
>>31884344
it feels sad that these were $300 before Sandy Hook, and considered bottom of the barrel peices of shit back then
>>31884344
I've seen used ones going for like $600-$650, maybe look for one of those first.
