Why does russia have barely any modern tanks?
>>32043067
because Ivan of better at computer cyber attack
>>32043067
Because they're poor
>>32043067
>have shit tones of T-80 and T-72
>entire country collapses
>have no money to buy or develop newer tanks
Gee I wonder why.
Let's say you go hiking and notice a hungry bear approaching you, (you retreat but the fucker is stalking you) and you don't want to end up like the cuck in the pic related, would 9mm, 135 or 147grain be enough to stop it? (all i got is sigp226). (hydra shok or hst). Any tips as to where to aim? I am not going to curl into a fucking ball or use any gay bells, def. not gonna let it come within the reach of even gayer bear pepper spray which i wouldnt use either.

Magdump into chest (heart lungs). If you only carry +1 magazies inna woods that's your own damn fault.
No. 44mag, 10meme, 45-70, 12g slugs

My mom's friend knows him.
Not a gun person, in fact I hate guns and weapons and people have no need for them whatsoever.
I just want to know what this is worth, my dad passed away and it will be sold depending on value, if not it will be destroyed.

Time stamp first
which is the better handgun maker between sig, glock and H&K?
>>32036601
>Walther
Out of those three?
Hk
Sig
Glock
HK is top. Sig is probably #2, but when they have problems, the guns totally fail. When Glocks have problems, you just get a sprinkler pattern ejection of brass. A problematic Glock doesn't fall into pieces while you are shooting it.
Boeing will grow larger.
A deal for Kuwait for up to 40 Super Hornets (28 + 12 options) and up to 72 Strike Eagles for Qatar (36 +36 options) has been approved.

Why the fuck is anyone buying those ancient 70s airplanes when the F35 sales are just around the corner.
>>32034767
So are these upgraded airframes or does Boeing have the capabilities to produce new ones?
>>32034815
iirc the gulf countries aren't being offered the F-35. The only country in the region offered F-35 sales is Israel for beyond obvious reasons.
Name them off
I'm still waiting for an example of a genocide that was actually successful.
>>32033232
Peace.
>>32033232
Counter insurgency.
Armenian genocide was successful. Nobody did anything about it and there's no Armenian state today.
The US has a notable lack of organic anti-air assets. If the US were to engage any military with ground attack aircraft, the casualties would be severe.
Why doesn't the US have battalion level air-defense?
We literally haven't lost ground troops to enemy air forces since the 1950s. If things are that bad our response is most likely going to be strategic nuclear rather than battalion level.
US doctrine is to establish immediate air superiority even before ground troops go in, so the chances of them being accosted by enemy air support is almost nil
We don't need AA when we have air dominance.
Oops, scratch that, "air supremacy".
Uh, did I say "supremacy"? I meant "superiority".
https://www.navytimes.com/articles/donald-trumps-navy-bigger-fleet-more-sailors-350-ships
Why would you make a navy that's as big as the rest of the word's combined fleets even bigger? Just a waste of money
>>32023718
Current fleet size is completely inadequate. The ships we have are being pushed too hard. No other nation has the number of maritime commitments the US has.
That said you don't need 350 (I think the report Trump is using as the basis for this plan put required ship numbers in the 320-340 range), but it's not an obscenely large amount either, considering.
Trump will no doubt seek aggressive cost reduction in naval procurement, which is currently a fucking disaster
So /k/, I want to build a trap. but I dont want to make just any trap, I want to build a non-lethal trap that can capture large game. Specifically, I want to build a trap to trap traps. How would one go about designing such a thing?
>>32047676
Gay bar.
>>32047686
but how do you keep them from leaving or reproducing amongst themselves?

It's called /b/
Currently own: Ruger mark 1 standard, double barrel 12ga, Remington single shot .22, and a Springfield 1903 30-06.
If you were me, what would your next gun purchase be?
>>32047665
If I was you I would shoot myself

All my guns are ones I inherited from my grandfather

A semi auto rifle in 308 or less
Hey there /k/, is it a bad idea to cast fishing weights to bullets? if so, what sort of lead should i be looking for to get into casting?
>>32047519
>Is it a bad idea to cast some janky ass shit into something I want to rotate at high speeds with stability
Just buy lead. Better yet, just buy bullets. Casting isn't as simple as
>Pour into mold
>receive desired result
>>32047530
well, i'm aware that you need to remove impurities, and you need to lubricate the bullets, but my question mainly lies with the idea that fishing weights may be too soft for bullets. thoughts?
>>32047530
>"I'm interested in learning things!"
>"You're stupid. Stop trying to learn things!"
This FN M249S is only a semi auto, so one shot per pull of the trigger. Could I make a robot that rapid fires the trigger so it fires at the rate of a full auto? Help me come up with some shitty ways to do this /k/.
>>32047344
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jif4Wo0LDX8
Could throw a gat trigger on it, a shitty way to do it but it works
>>32047344
Yes, but if your robot can be activated with a single button press then you're back to square one.
Maybe let the robot take any number of button presses with any timing, then queue them up and read them in at a rate that matches the gun's ROF. Then you're still doing one round per trigger pull
Did the technology required to manufacture assault rifles exist during WW2? Why did it take so long for them to get adopted in large numbers?
>>32047257
>Did the technology required to manufacture assault rifles exist during WW2?
No.
>>32047257
refer to the guide mate, its the sticky
The technology to create Assault Rifles existed since WWI, if not before. The reason why they weren't widely adopted is because of doctrine that demanded long range precision from every rifleman. Once Germany finally realized that Fritz and Jerry don't really shoot past 300 yards all that often the Assault Rifle was born. The Soviets caught on to this rather quickly while NATO (read: 'Murrika) thought that intermediate cartridges were fake and gay, which is why they didn't adopt them for another generation.
Looking to buy my first gun. Already decided to get a pistol. Have an older male friend who served in the marines. He says i should definetly get a revolver and stay away from anything with a mag. He says this is because there is always a chance of the gun jamming or some other kind of mechanical failure.
My question is, is this a real concern or is he just a revolver fanboy.
Also, any good revolver recommendations?
there's also the chance of you having a blood clot in your system that you dont know about, and the force of the recoil could dislodge it and immediately kill you
guess you shouldn't get a gun bro
also marines are retarded
>>32047218
Revolvers are great in their own right, but a semi-auto pistol is superior in most regards, especially for new shooters. Just get something decent and take care of it and you will likely never have a moment of trouble. And by decent I don't mean expensive. I mean a good gun.
Good luck.
>>32047218
You sound like a retard and retards shouldn't own guns
I need to defend my beer from my fucking asshole roommate. What is the best way to protect my 21st Amendment right?
