Reposting what I've got for Part 3 of the Stalker Challenge story. If anyone can think of a better title, let me know.


The bridge wasn't much to look at, just worn concrete and rusting steel, but it looked stable enough, even though it's been atleast a quarter century without any sort of maintenance.

As we crossed, Katya let out a squeal of delight “ C'mon Anon hurry, I think I can see some of the buildings, c'mon c'mon c'mon”

“Ok ok” I replied “Hold your horses.”

“Huh?” Katya said, turning around with a look of confusion on her face.

“Man, I guess sitting in that crate didn't really do much for your language skills did it?” I said with a bit of a chuckle. “Just don't go running off”

She just stuck out her tongue. “Fine, just don't be too slow” she said skipping as she went.

The walk to the main camp was uneventful, other than Katya's protesting that I was too slow.

The first building on our right looked in good enough condition, it was built of corrugated sheet steel with a matching roof. The paint was chipped and peeling, but it seemed structurally sound.

Although the door was locked, all it took was a few minutes with the lockpicks to get it open. “Ready to see what's behind door number one?” I asked Katya in a mock announcers voice.

“Yeah, yeah, just hurry up” she replied taking a step towards the door.

The hinges creaked loudly, having not moved in a couple of decades. The small rectangle of light cast by the opening door revealed little more than dust, broken glass and empty and splintering crates.

“Looks like it was some sort of warehouse” I said, following Katya into the rather large single room.

“Yeah, but doesn't look like there's any cool shit” Katya said, looking disappointed at the barren dimly lit room.

“Oh?” I said “What happened to ‘I don't care what happens as long as I get to spend the weekend with you’”

Saw 3 Mulies within 30 yards of me yesterday leaving work. All Does, and all within city limits. If they're this thick even in town near a major freeway, I can't imagine what they're like out in the hills.

Also, thinking about taking up Yote hunting. No license needed and state pays 50 bucks a yote you drop. Just have to bring them the lower jaw and ears. Anyone else hunt Coyote in Utah? Any tips?

asked in the old thread but got missed

somebody in here has to have Crye SPS mag pouches, so:

- if you use them with two mags, how well do they retain a second mag after one is removed
- how good is retention on one mag only with the flap tucked away

i am interested in using them for single mag purposes that can be expanded to 2x mag per pouch on the fly if needed but i can't find any good reviews on youtube or whatever that answer my questions
