>ywn operate in a comfy environmentally sealed, climate controlled power armored suit that allows you to operate in the coldest of tundras, hottest of deserts and muggiest/dampest of insect infested swamps/forests without having to ever worry about hauling a ruck filled with spare clothes and weather gear.
When that day comes they will look back at us the same way we look back at those that had to wear plate suits.
How would such suits change warfare/moral?

Is it time for a /k/ feels thread?

>Not wanting to become the suit, experiencing the rigors of combat in a blissful state of hyperawareness as your artificial musculature allows you to use a bow capable of piercing composite armor with ease.

Airshit
Pellet gun. Looks like an FX wildcat or something similar.
>be USA
>Have 1600 Abrams in service
>in 2017
Why even bother?
what are the combat capabilities of these things?
Sell, scrap or modernize? Or just buy PL-01?
>>34919761
What the fuck are you trying to say?
>have 1600 of the best tank on the market
>needing to change
Kys shitposter sagr
>>34919761
Pl-01 is a badly armored, useless tank
Buying those would make your army weaker
Would a green dot sight be washed out by foliage in a forest environment

Depends on how much light is out I guess, if you had some cloud cover or something, probably not.
Yes. Though, I've read Trijicon's green FO might be okay.
Hi all, while searching in my attic I found this old rusty bayonet. From what I found online seems to be a Mauser '98 model (maybe type 2) but would love to know more about it.
another pic here
Full length 98s are fairly rare, compared to later models anyway. Nice find. Any markings should be on the blade end closest to the grip.
>>34919785
Judging by his hand, it looks Argentinian.
Can anyone please help me identify this old rifle I found
>>34919671
Looks kinda like an old rifle
All I found was this engraving near the bolt action mechanism
>>34919671
Its a sporter enfield.
maybe even commercial.
Needs to this board.. getting into reloading for 300 blk, 458 socom and 7mm rem.. any advice/suggestions?
newfag** to this board. fucking autocorrect.
>>34919520
you came to the wrong board.
only like 3 people know anything here and what they do know its about obscure shit like nukes, prussian diaper manufactures, and dragon dildos.
The rest either dont know shit or cant decide what they know.
>>34919520
ok get list :
-Hornady/malfatti/geerbrhandt reloading manual as your bible
-a good reloading setup (keep it simple either single station of turret type no auto press they are designed for handguns reloading.
-lube your dies but not too much
pay in mind that ythe three caliber you mentioned aren't exactly beginner's choice ...
7rm aka useless fudd caliber is the easiest to reload since bullets and data load are easy to find for any long barrel rifle powder
300aac tactimoot has easy to find bullets yet the powder loads, OAL and crimping can be bothersome if you neck up 556/223 ammo
458 sodom
I'm sorry the powder and bullet type actually repertoried for this caliber are kinda sketchy
I don't like the look of keymod.
I'm either going to get an m-lok, or picitinny rail AR15. But I want a BCM which isnt offered in m-lok yet.
So if I get a picitinny, would I be better off getting a keymod BCM with picitinny rail covers? don't the rail covers basically turn the gun into a picitinny look?
>>34919485
Keymod is shit get pic rails if you want that BCM brand name so bad
>>34919485
Might as well just get a quad rail handguard if you're so eager to suck BCM dick.
>>34919485
For the most part keymod is functional, unless you plan to fuck up your gun with torture tests and hammering your rail for whatever reason. If you don't like it and don't plan to use it as intended just go pic rail. The whole point is to mount rail where you want it.
Any /k/ greentext stories.
Love hearing about dudes shooting the shit out of fucked up animals.
Also, what rifles and side arms would you prefer to carry out in the woods for defense against large predators?

Im looking to buy a 1911 today. What brands do i stay away from and how do i nake sure im not getting ripped off?
Avoid Springfield and Kimber.
avoid kimber, higher end springfield is good, colt is good if you dont mind series 80
>>34919227
Look at the price on the sticker and google it real quick to get an ideal if the price is comparable to others. As for brands to avoid, I cant help much with that, I would avoid anything under 500 though as quality will likely be lower. Best bang for my buck has been the Remington r1. Should be able to get for around 600 and its a decent 1911.
I know that the role of the infantry gun was to support the infantry when attacking and in the German army they were organized into a infantry gun company. Is there any company manual or such available in English or even in German? Despite my efforts, I have not found one. Was the IG company considered irrelevant by the American intelligence?
How the guns were actually used? In my experience there is always some sort doctrinal way to deploy units in defence or in attack. Were the guns always in a company formation or were they deployed separately to different infantry units? Who gave them targets to shoot, the company commander, battalion commander or just any infantry platoon officer?
>>34919210
Field guns are incredebly sexy
>>34919210
The mission of the Infantry is to close with, locate, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver.
Not a ww2 vet but an OIF vet. I assume it was used like we use the SAW. It provided covering fire for the other infantry to advance to better firing positions.

H.Dv. 89/4 ,108-111, 119ff., 170, 200ff. and a whole bunch more. there is also General Bruchmüller to read about on German artillery tactics
Previous reports of a strong, independent woman killing 4 jihadis in Barcelona are confirmed false. Truth surfaced in the later hours and was in fact a former Legion male soldier who used his service weapon to do the job. He his not being identified but here you see him being honored by his colleges. Either way, great job regardless.
>Hear about Barcelona incident
>The only people I see saying a woman handled business were Anons
>No proof
>Anon now says it's confirmed not to be a woman
>No proof
Also how does this deserve its own thread?
>>34918844
No shit. I've never seen a woman cop earn hers ever. If anything they always make things worse and fuck shit up.
A friend of mine moved into my area, so I finally have a buddy to go shooting with, so I figured I should probably get a rifle or something.
Any suggestions for any lever action rifles that are a good mid point between quality, price, new gun user friendliness? How would I go about dealing with the paper work and the like? What are things someone new to all this should know?
(Though I'm considering just buying a Bulldog 357 instead and having fun with that since it appeals to me and doesn't require registration and I can just order online.)
Yes. No.
>>34918903
I'm not quite sure how to interpret this.
