I guess DOD policy allows CCW on base but it's up to commanders. No one has made it ok yet. Just carry anyway like some people do.

Where you can apply for a 90-day CCW-on-base authorization from any O-5 or higher who is in your chain of command. It's nothing base-wide.

Couldn't agree with you more. I'm in phoenix so i keep several 5gal waters in the kitchen and always have a few cases of water stored away which is still not nearly enough. I'm very tight on space though.

Anything from 3-5 is fine, regardless of what your instructor says you'll need to do what makes you most comfortable. Also *with a clear weapon*, you will need to practice drawing from your holster and acquiring sights. Practicing your draw is vital for good reaction time, if you don't practice your draw time will be likely around 5 seconds because fine motor controls diminish under severe stress.

Anyways, for your holsters; good go-to options are a Remora with artemis cut, or a simple kydex holster like Concealment Express or Dara holsters.

In WWII daggers were issued to many, many, many allied commando units. It was the preferred habd-to-hand weapon of what was arguably the first generation of modern SOF.

Even suppressed firearms in calibers large enough to consistently kill human beings can be too loud some times. FSFK isn't outdated in those situations, and they're unique to SOF.

This is a type of ballistics knife. You use smokeless powder in the barrel then muzzle load the knife. Get a blowtorch and blast the side of the barrel until the powder ignites, the barrel explodes, and although you may die, you also might injure a nearby assailant

I am a fan of wheelguns. I personally carry a ruger lcr in 38. There are many good options out there. 38 or 380 will do the trick. Good 38s in your price point
