Why don't people build commercial rifles based on the enfield action?

Rifle 'speed' is mostly based on the users familiarity with the rifle. I'm not going to some retard ramble for 10 minutes about his bias opinion.

To be more specific, the Mauser action is a lot more robust, which means less work making rifles in a wide variety of calibers because of lower R&D and machining costs, which means cheaper rifles.

At least, that's how I've alsways seen it.

Hello I have 2 handguns, a g19 and a Shield. I want a long gun, I would like an SKS but they are expensive now

If I can find a maverick 88 for around $200 should I buy it?

Can I cut the stock down and turn it into a pistol later so long as the barrel is above 18.5"?

>>
>>32289563
Or save up another $50 and get a mosberg 500
>>
>>32289563
or sell the shield and buy a 590A1
>>
>>32289578
What's the difference? I could get one of those too, I have enough for a 500 but I don't see a reason to spend extra other than "muh made in America"

>$26 for some springs

I'm not doubting their effectiveness, they definitely work as advertised...but couldn't I just go to Home Depot and get these for like $5?
26 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>32289547
Sure, if you get springs that match the exact characteristics of what you need.
>>
>>32289618
I guess what I'm asking is, is it possible to get the specific springs from a hardware store or are these some sort of proprietary weight or whatever.
>>
It's bullshit... If they don't list their spring rates, there is no reason to buy...

So whats up with the HPA?

Speculate on whats going to happen!

What are you going to buy?

Do you already own suppressors? You mad or happy about HPA?
Ive got a couple, but if the HPA passes I'll be purchasing a whole bunch more, that is after the 2 years of panic buying and zero availability of anything and price gouging is over...

> Do you already own suppressors? You mad or happy about HPA?

People don't buy suppressors with the intent to resell at a higher price, I think they'd be ecstatic about the fall in prices and newfound ability to buy replacement baffles.
>>
>>32289424
I think that I am annoyed at the HPA only from the standpoint that I have 6 suppressors, so $1200 tied up in tax stamps, postHPA, that probably a decent pistol suppressor and a .22 suppressor, $1200 that I can never get back, I'm not mad, just annoyed that the money on tax stamps I've spent is gone.
>>
>>32289424
>ecstatic about the fall in prices
When restrictions are lifted, demand will skyrocket and unless every suppressor company is ramping up production now to meet the increase I think we're gonna see a massive initial spike in price until supply:demand evens out

Haven't been on this board before, just wondering how powerful a Hi-Point 9mm 916HC C9 Compact Pistol is and if it will be able to kill a person if possible. I'm thinking of getting one in order to protect my house, as I've had 2 break-ins in the past 6 months and need to protect my kids.

Is the Witness Elite Limited a good carry/competition gun?

I like the potential of putting an optic mount on the gun using the pre-drilled-and-tapped holes.

Also, since the Tangfolios are based on the CZ-75 platform, if I wanted to install a threaded barrel on a Witness, would I be looking for CZ-75 barrels?

No, it's fine.
>>
That's usually the start of case setback but a lot of target rounds just look like that. It happens when the round is chambered frequently.
>>
>>32288851
its because the case was sized small and the bullet expanded it back out

Mine do that a lot

>(Updated) DN-3 missile spotted preparing for launch

>“The PLA is acquiring a range of technologies to improve China’s counterspace capabilities,” the Pentagon’s latest report on the Chinese military said.

>“In addition to the development of directed energy weapons and satellite jammers, China is also developing anti-satellite capabilities and has probably made progress on the anti-satellite missile system it tested in July 2014.”

>In addition to missiles and lasers, China also is working on small maneuvering satellites that can grab and destroy orbiting satellites.

>Richard Fisher, a China military affairs specialist, said the DN-3 appears to be based on the Kuaizhou-1 (KZ-1) mobile space launch vehicle.

>“It’s about the same size as the DF-31 solid fuel mobile intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM),” he said.

>Fisher, senior fellow at the International Assessment and Strategy Center, said the DN-3 could be capable of hitting satellites more than 18,640 miles away in space—more than enough to reach large U.S. surveillance satellites that occupy orbit 186 to 620 miles from earth.

Another ASAT with GPS-killing capability, due to its High Earth Orbit/GSO target altitude. All in a size of a road mobile solid fueled DF-31 ICBM.

Breddy gud.
