How the hell do I load my shotgun, /k/?
I have a 20 gauge Mossberg (not sure on exact model) and while I can portload, the magazine tube refuses to let me pop a shell in. I slide it and the magazine tube springs back a bit, but when the shell is about halfway in, the spring has no more give and won't move.

If someone breaks in I don't want to port load every shot. How do I load this darn thing?

Oh don't worry OP it's just a stuck spring pin in your bolt, it happens to shotguns all the time. Just fill your bathtub with vinegar and leave your gun in there for a day or two and it should be loose.
>>
>>32299742
what country do you live in? there may be a pin or wood dowel that restricts access to the magazine tube. disassemble the mag tube and see if there is a piece of wood in it
>>
Take the plug out.

Hey /k/, Canadian wantsfuns here, ordered an AKM type II bayonet for $40CAD, did I get ripped off or did I get a solid survival knife? I live in rural Nova Scotia so it would get lots of use. Anything I should know about it? Pic related, the one I ordered is on the right.

thats the going rate for them. and its not a knife you idiot, theres no . its meant for stabbing on a rifle. they are dull as fuck
>>
>>32299493
They were mass produced on the cheap. Whether you'll end up with one made from decent steel or one made from crap steel is a question of luck. I hope you get one that was never sharpened so you can put a decent edge on it. If you do that, it will serve you well.
>>
>>32299561
Chill man, I never claimed to be an expert
I'm aware they're pretty dull, the seller warned me it was dull, I was planning on sharpening it any so I could use it as I stated

If Christianity is all about thou shall not kill and turning the other cheek and shit, why are most god fearing Christians gun enthusiasts?

Genuinely curious.

Because the religious right has no concept of ideological consistency and doesn't give two shits about walking in the path of Christ.

Or because guns are cool, idk.

Sup /k/,

So I'm looking at picrelated to become my pocket rocket, yes I know lolkeltec, yes I know lol 32 acp, IDGAF.

Any /k/ommandos have shot more than a few mags through one of these? How's your experience been? How's the trigger?

Another glorious design from lel-kek. It's a lightweight .32, not much else. I like my Walther better.
>>
>>32297467
That's fine. Remember: it's all about shot placement.

In fact, I don't even carry a gun. I like my sharpened toothpicks. Shot placement is king.
>>
>>32297467
Jesus, at least get a .380

A Taurus TCP with a C or D serial is dirt cheap and will do the job better than that literal pea shpoter.

Is ricochet something the average person needs to worry about with pistols doing outdoor target shooting? What would one do you avoid it?
19 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>32297181
there is a reason metal targets are only sold for .22lr most of the time.
That webm is the reason.
>>
>>32297181
Step one. ONLY SHOOT STEEL TARGETS. The guy in that clip was shooting at iron. Iron is very hard but also very brittle. That makes drastic ricochets more likely. Step two. TIP YOUR TARGETS DOWN so the angle of the target deflects splash and ricochet into the dirt. Some splash back is inevitable, make sure it goes in a direction that won't hurt anyone. Step three. HANG YOUR TARGETS SO THEY MOVE FREELY. If you bolt up a steel target so tight it cant move, all the energy will stay with the projectile. If the plate is free to swing, the movement of the plate will absorb a lot of energy. Make sure you're using steel of an appropriate hardness, if you're only shooting pistols at it, this isn't a big deal.

Be safe and have fun!

Hey /k/

I am mulling over whether to go with a lightweight 16" barrel versus a regular standard government barrel for an AR build. What are the benefits of going lightweight or heavy? Ultimately this rifle would be used for HD primarily.
52 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
>>32296880
Lightweight tends to lose zero a bit easier.
>>
>>32296880

afaik the only real difference is heat dissipation is better with heavier barrels generally
>>
Same as any other metallic object you idiot. Thicker steel = more durable

I'll answer.

It is for 7.62x39. It is the older style for the AKM or AK-47. Which is chambered in the round mentioned.

There is no AK chambered in 5.56mm, and 5.45mm mags are usually synthetics.
>>
>>32296558
shut the fuck up, you don't know what you're talking about, holy fuck everything you said was wrong

OP it looks like either a 20 rd 7.62 mag, or a 30 round 5.45 mag.
