I'm trying to read and understand the gun laws (and knife laws, etc.) of my state, but I can't seem to follow.
Can someone please explain to me how to legally obtain a gun, what guns I can get, how I can go about carrying them outside my house, and what other weapons I can obtain in my state?
>>32553357
Former NJ resident here. I never owned a gun while I was there, but my brother did. So I'm gonna try to go on what I can remember. I could be wrong on some of this.
>how to legally obtain a gun
I think you might have to possibly go to your local police station or maybe even nearest court house/building to file for a license.
>what guns I can get
Anything that isn't an automatic. Though with pistols, you're going to need a separate license for every one you have. If just rifles, you need only one and you can have as many as you want.
>how I can go about carrying them outside my house
Securely I'd imagine. If say you have some kind of sleeve/pouch things for them, then that might be okay. But if you mean like having them on you while about your every day activities than forget it. Open and concealed carry are illegal in NJ as far as I know.
>and what other weapons I can obtain in my state?
Like what? I don't know about explosives but I'd imagine they would not fly.
If any more knowledgable /k/ommandos are about than please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

To buy long guns (rifles and/or shotguns) in NJ you must:
Possess a New Jersey Firearms Purchasers Identification Card (FPID card)
To obtain an FPID card you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Be a resident of the United States
Be a resident of the state of New Jersey
NOT have been convicted of an unexpurgated violent crime, drug crime, or felony
NOT be dependent on the use of narcotics or illicit drugs
NOT be an alcoholic (recovering alcoholics are exempt)
NOT have been involuntarily confined to a mental institution or have been otherwise adjudicated mentally deficient
NOT possess a physical disability which would make it unsafe to handle a firearm
You must apply for an FPID card through your local police department, to do so you must:
1 . Go to your local police station and retrieve the necessary information
Your police department may provide you with a packet containing all the forms and information you'll need, however many smaller departments don't. The most important pieces of information you will need to know are theOriginating Agency Number(which consists of the letters NJ followed by a 7 digit number) and theContributor’s Case Number(which is usually a combination of your last name, and the initials of your towns police department). These are the two numbers you absolutely need.
2 . Get fingerprinted
To get fingerprinted, you must fill out theNew Jersey Universal Fingerprint Form. For firearms licensing, the Statute Number field will be 2C:58-1 THRU 4.1 and the Document Type will be B1. You will also fill in those two number you got from your police department from the previous step. Next, schedule an appointment with the third party biometrics company Identigo atthis website. You will have to pay online at the time of scheduling. You will also need to bring a state issued photo ID to the appointment. Once complete you will be given a receipt of the fingerprinting. DO NOT LOSE THIS!

Has anybody ever thought about knocking over drug houses for the cash?
I keep seeing drug busts, where upwards of $50k was seized by police, obviously alot of these would already be under police survillence but it gets you thinking about the free cash.
Thermal imaging gear to acertain how many targets are inside the house then go room to room with a suppressed .22lr.
What methods would you use and what would your loadout be?
thinks that thermal works through walls...

As soon as you walk up and start capping niggas the DEA/FBI is going to prevent you from ruining their operation.
>>32553011
Not houses, but I always see obvious drug dealers walking around with backpacks that I'm sure are full of cash and drugs.

As long as you can tolerate the bullshit you'll be fine. Also depending on when you go to Bootcamp you might not even be that old. I went in January and most of platoon was guys in their 20s. There were 3 dudes who were in their 30s and plenty of dudes in their mid 20s who already had degrees be such

I've always wondered why revolver carbines were never more popular. I guess it had to do with metallurgy?
Alright, senpaitachi. I asked my dad, who works on Army Aviation on this subject, but his only response that it would be difficult to qualify safety-wise.
Is it possible to just forgo the canopy in a modern aircraft and use avionics to feed a view of the outside of the aircraft to the pilot?
>>32552430
How else do pilots fly in bad weather? It's not too difficult of a concept. In fact, doing away with glass should make the craft even safer for its user.
>>32552430
Hey, it worked in Ace Combat 3.
Theoretically if the F35 3d helmet works as advertised* they could be seated inside an armoured bubble anywhere in the aircraft.
>*yeah, I know, hence 'theoretically'
i have been thinking of "insurance" like US law shield.
tldr: its "insurance" that if you ever have to draw your weapon and shoot some baddie, they will pay for all your civil and legal fees and have a lawyer come to you during the incident from the shot to the last day in court.
anyone have opinions on it? is it worth $100 a year?
yes it will give you something to do instead of putting your foot in your mouth. they also got you covered for use of force. I'm signing up in a few days. I got a date with rep.

want to know if its worth it to keep the family of jamal off my back

I actually work for USLS. I've studied a ton on some competitors and can answer some questions if you have any. Many are insurance companies, USLS is a membership organization (similar to armed citizens defense league). USCCA has tiers of coverage, a deductible, then you pay out of pocket until you are (hopefully) acquitted.
Basic membership benefits
1. 24/7 emergency hotline that is actually answered directly by a trial vetted firearms attorney, who immediately comes to the scene and represents you all the way through both criminal and civil cases, in addition to appeals. No money out of pocket or other b.s. fees, no caps or limits or tiers of coverage. Covers all self defense incidents, up to and inlcuding a firearm (all legal weapons).
2. Non-emergency line. Self explanatory, call during business hours and get all of your legal questions answered relating to firearms/weapons/self defense/etc.
3. Education. Come to the classes for free, check out gunlawseminar.com. You'll get the newsletter as well with important updates in your state.
Also, member perks are officially out now, so all of our local partners and gun stores are offering discounts for our members which is pretty awesome as well.
