Enter the Kniper. At a mere $108 it is not quite as over priced. Until you consider it is made of 420 steel. A softer and harder to sharpen steel than the much cheaper 440c. I can only imagine they chose it knowing their demographic. You see in addition to containing such features as a fork, a 1 inch saw blade, a wire breaking notch, and a fire bow bearing this is a knife you can smoke with. Part of it has been hollowed out to form a very small pipe. Not large or useful enough to ever smoke out of and not without fucking up any heat treatment, but the kind of thing a hardcore stoner would buy to show of to his friends and then forget about.

I'm looking for a maadi as my first AK. I don't want a vepr, wasr, npap, or any other "beginner AK." I understand that these are all formidable rifles, but they just don't appeal to me. I was ready to fully commit to the maadi before reading this YouTube comment because everything he said as to "why people want them" is basically every reason I want them. They just have more character and "life" in them than the century arms and arsenal engraved products that flood the gun stores... You don't have to pull it out from a holster, no need for it. You are also better off with an actual safety with a rifle. Snagging on your jacket is not a problem with a rifle.

Walking through brush, crawling, etc is eventually going to get something in your trigger guard, which the trigger safety doesn't guard against.
